Entendê-los é mais fácil do que parece, veja só: • Quadrado com um ponto: secar em temperatura mínima. • Quadrado com dois pontos: secar em temperatura máxima • X grande: proibido usar secadora Como usar a secadora corretamente Além de seguir as instruções dos símbolos de lavagem, com os seguintes cuidados você tem como secar a roupa de maneira mais prática e eficiente: • Centrifugue a roupa. Colocar roupas muito molhadas na secadora não apenas dificulta a secagem, como também aumenta o consumo de energia elétrica. • Evite misturar certos itens. Não é recomendado secar uma toalha encharcada com algumas blusinhas mais leves e frágeis. • Verificar se as manchas foram removidas antes da secagem. Caso tenha lavado alguma roupa para tentar tirar uma mancha, verifique antes se a mancha saiu completamente, porque se secar a roupa antes da remoção da mancha, a secagem poderá fixar a mancha definitivamente. • Atenção na quantidade. As roupas secam mais rápido se não estiverem amontoadas na máquina. Ter esse cuidado também evita sobrecarregar o seu equipamento. • Previna transtornos. Verifique se os bolsos estão realmente vazios, sem moedas ou pedaços de papel. Um pouco de chiclete ou tinta de caneta podem causar transtornos se ainda estiverem nas roupas durante a secagem. • Após a secagem, retire as roupas da máquina. We try to be very conscious about what goes into our washing machine as this ends up in the water so the less chemicals and more natural products we use, the less polluted our oceans and rivers will be 💦. . ✨ Soap Berries - they’re organic, natural, hypoallergenic, plastic free, palm oil free and compostable. You can simply pop 5 into a smaller cotton bag and place it in the washing machine with your clothes. Re-use the same shells for approx. four more loads. I like to add a few drops of lavanda, eucalyptus or lemon myrtle essential oil to give a nice scent to my clothes 😌. . ✨ Laundry Powder - For those who would still prefer to use laundry powder instead of soap berries, the best option here in Australia is Aware Laundry Powder. They make environmentally friendly and health sensitive laundry detergents. . ✨ Take your own container & refill laundry detergent from bulk stores. @manlyfoodcoop has both laundry liquid and powder as well as stain washer. . ✨ DIY Laundry detergent - I will make another post about this with the best recipes out there. @biomestores has amazing DIY recipes on their website for skin care, body, hair & cleaning products which I’m willing to try. ☝️ We also got a Microfibre Laundry Bag that stops microplastics from entering to our rivers and oceans 🌊. Shop seasonally – shopping seasonally and locally is another crucial way to be sustainable. Produce that’s not in season has to either be imported from overseas, which increases your carbon footprint or grown in greenhouses which consume a lot of energy. The best part about buying seasonal produce is that it is usually fresher and cheaper. Use loose-leaf tea – not only will you be more sustainable; you can also mix your own blends. Of course, if there is any reason you really do need to use tea bags, look for bio-degradable ones, they are widely available. You’ll want to move to a gentler way to clean the skin as you tattoo. Here is Tinas go-to recipe she uses in her soap mix! 🧼 Use 1 part Dr. Bronner’s Baby Unscented Castile Soap to 9 parts distilled water. Your mixture should be 10% soap to 90% distilled water. Put it in a squeeze/wash bottle and squeeze onto soft cotton pads to wipe. Do not use too much soap in your mixture or it will be foamy. I wanted to share my extreme minimalist wardrobe. If you are looking to downsize I hope this can be of some help. I tend to stick with natural fabrics such as linen, cotton, tencel etc, and mostly neutral/earthy tones. The most important thing for me is function & comfort, and having a balanced wardrobe. Rather than focusing on fast fashion trends. Overtime my wardrobe may change with my lifestyle and thats okay. I try my best to purchase from ethical & sustainable brands. A tip that I have is to look at it from a functional & needs & based standpoint. Then choose a color pallete & the materials you feel most comfortable in. Also focusing more on the pieces that you truly love, can make it easier to let go of those who are done serving you. Collagen is still very much “trending” these days. I still see new brands and flavours pop up all over my news feed! It’s often promoted as a gut healing supplement and is included in a variety of food bloggers recipes (mine included) like brownies, smoothies, slices ect. But the reason I’m exploring the topic of collagen powder further, is because Mitzi from @reallydelish sent me this message: “Seriously stop with promoting collagen/ gelatin made from toxic hides from burnt out Amazonian rainforest - if you know better, do better. Promote responsibility raised preferably US raised gelatin...” And I totally agree with Mitzi. Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better. This is me right now trying to do better as I learn more, and I’d love to share this information with you as it’s IMPORTANT. Up until recently, I didn’t know that most collagen supplements on the market come from Brazil (if the label doesn’t identify the source, it’s most likely coming from Brazil). Despite their claims of being grass fed, my findings revealed that their products are actually made from a blend of grass fed + grain fed cattle. This raw material is plentiful + easily accessible to manufacturers at very low cost, which is why you can find many cheap grass fed (but not really) collagen products on the market. Furthermore, the cows are often treated with antibiotics and undisclosed substances. Unfortunately, the dietary supplement industry is rife with misrepresentations and sometimes, outright fraud. Companies will say anything to make a buck, even if it means deceiving their customers. In the message from Mitzi, she made the suggestion to “promote responsibly raised, preferably US raised gelatin.” However, I’m living in NZ, so I don’t have access to many of the US raised gelatin and collagen brands. Instead, I have researched to find trustworthy collagen brands in New Zealand and Australia and I’m happy to share them with you! Eloise and I spent twenty minutes with the sewing machine this weekend and turned a handful of fabric, towel, and burlap scraps into cute little “unsponges.” If you’re looking for a simple, sustainable crafting project for a kid, this is the perfect way to introduce them to a sewing machine and make something that’s practical and easy. ••• To make them, we cut 4-5 pieces of fabric 3” x 5” each, then we stacked them as per below, and sewed the edges together. ••• 1 piece of cotton fabric, right side facing down 2-3 pieces of terry cloth (or cut-up, old towel) 1 piece of rough fabric for scrubbing (burlap works okay but next time we’ll try the plastic mesh bags that lemons and oranges come in). ••• That’s it! I got a lot of DM regarding this recipe. I’ve modified it to make it more doable and added isopropyl alcohol to make them a disinfectant too. How To Make Homemade, #Reusable #Kitchen #Wipes! 🌱 INGREDIENTS: * 1 cup water * 1-2 tbsp dish soap * 1/4 cup isopropyl alcohol * 15 drops Essential oil - this is optional * 10- 15 Reusable cloths- take an old plain white cotton t-shirt and cut it up into 10-12 small squares * Air Tight jar INSTRUCTIONS: Mix the solution in a large mason jar add the cloths, let them Soak up the solution. When you use them, Squeeze out any excess and use as you please. If you dont use them all you can roll them up and store them in the jar. If you have liquid left over, you can store it in a separate jar. When you are done, simply toss the soiled cloths into the laundry. RECIPE NOTES: For essential oils you can use tea-tree or lavender or lemon. A combination of the Three. These will last you 2 weeks, but keep in mind it does depend on usage. If you are a clean freak like me, you may go through them a little faster. Store in a cool, dark place. Just whip up a batch, store under your sink, and grab when needed.
