That’s a 23 week belly right there! After so much repeated traumatic loss, infertility, and IVF I was not prepared for All. The. Feels. this pregnancy... -overwhelming gratitude -stress and worry -joy -excitement -disconnect -protective -guilt -love -etc etc etc I love that little girl in there so much, but I have had the hardest time connecting that this will be ok. I haven’t been able to buy any baby things. Y’all, I mean not one dang thing. Which is so completely opposite of my personality to prepare and plan, but I think I’m finally ready. Ready for sleepers, pacis, diaper bag, crib, & bows on bows! 🎀🎀🎀 . It’s been hard to talk about being pregnant because of equal fear, feeling so protective of her, and I know how many women are still aching for this. Today feels so profound as two big days for us collide. It is the 500th day of our IVF journey, and it is the start of our second IVF cycle. Today, agony and hope coexist in me. ⠀ ⠀ I feel the agony of a long and heartbreaking journey. Infertility has become a huge part of our daily existence. It‘s put the life we dreamt on hold. The constant waiting and uncertainty of it all, while the world around us keeps on spinning, is maddening. ⠀ ⠀ I also feel the intense hope of a new IVF cycle. It’s truly extraordinary the way hope renews even after our hardest, darkest moments. ⠀ ⠀ Along with learning to accept such contradictory feelings, I’ve learned that you can do everything right, you can work your butt off, and sometimes things just don’t work out. But this doesn’t make you less worthy, it doesn’t make you broken, it doesn’t mean that you don’t want it enough or you didn’t fight hard enough. You are enough. You are always, always enough! Sometimes there just aren’t answers or reasons. It’s not fair, and it completely sucks. So feel it. Feel it all. And be honest about it. Trust me, nothing good can be gained from being dishonest about how you truly feel. So be honest. Cry. Laugh. Scream. Shout. Get it out. And when YOU are ready, step outta it but don’t ever judge yourself for feeling it because that shit is real and heavy and painful and every bit as valid and profound as it feels. You are worthy at your strongest. You are worthy at your weakest. You are worthy through each step of your struggle. What is a hot coffee?☕ Unless you wake up at 4am before anyone else to have your breakfast and get yourself ready, you really do just get used to your iced coffee and stale toast🍞 . Sleep? If its not a full 4hrs you get a really broken 6-7 hr sleep. And if kids are feeling unwell or teething .... what day is it, it feels like Ive been awake for weeks. (Youd be surprised how much still can be accomplished while you are 💀zombie-fied) . I dont know about anyone else but since the quarantine/lock down I have got used to the free-ness of no bra 😁 to point where I leave the house only to bolt back in remembering I need to strap them in so Im not sweeping the pavement 😩😂 (Its surprising how often I forget🤦♀️) . Finding out I was pregnant was so exciting! But that excitement was short lived when the morning sickness quickly kicked in at week 6-7 and it’s been a rollercoaster of a ride ever since. I know everyone’s experience is completely different and majority of women have really enjoyable pregnancies, but unfortunately thats not always the case for everyone. My morning sickness quickly turned in to Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which is more severe. My symptoms included persistent vomiting, severe nausea, loss of appetite, feeling faint and dizzy, fatigue, anxiety the list goes on. It felt like the worst hangover/food poisoning imaginable, and I was bed ridden with my head in a bucket for months because of it. Every day I thought I could not do one more day of this. The hardest part was feeling incredibly alone, as I had never heard of a lot of the pregnancy side effects I was having. And seeing how glorified pregnancy can be on social media, I was wondering why I was the only person struggling? Once the Hyperemesis Gravidarum stopped around weeks 18-20, I really started to struggle with energy, breathlessness, feeling dizzy, faint, emotional, extreme fatigue. This turned out to be due to my Iron levels dropping dramatically, which resulted in an iron deficiency. For another 12 weeks I really struggled with my iron even after an iron infusion and taking iron supplements. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt it’s definitely not to compare my pregnancy to anyone else’s because we all have different experiences. 16 tc vs. 29 tc. vs. dziś ( jutro początek 40tc😱) Nasza brzuszkowa podróż powoli (no dobra mega szybko🤣) dobiega końca.... Zapamiętam okres ciąży, jako jeden z najlepszych w moim życiu🙄SERIO! Nigdy nie sądziłam, że noszenie pod swoim serduchem, drugiego maleńkiego serduszka przejdzie mi tak gładko. Zero załamań, zero kryzysów. Oczywiście bywaly dni, kiedy energia spadała do zera. Jednak takie momenty wyliczę na palcach u ręki. Życzę KAŻDEJ przyszłej mamie, aby miała takie szczęście jak ja i przeszła te 9 miesięcy z uśmiechem na twarzy, z książkowymi wynikami badań i mnóstwem pozytywnej energii☺️ Chociaż zawsze jednak powtarzam, że lepiej się nastawić na gorsze i być miło zaskoczonym, niż dostać młotkiem w łeb, bo się miało nadzieje na bóg wie co! 😋 Arbuzik🍉 wierci się jak szalony, kocham to uczucie, choć czasem na niego narzekam - będę tęsknić okrutnie za tymi kopami, teraz już to wiem🙈 Bilans? Na wadze około +9, więc bosko🤩 Rozsądne, zbilansowane jedzenie (w ostatnim jednak wpadło ciut grzeszków🙈), hektolitry wody i litry pokrzywy...dużo ruchu - recepta na mały sukces i zdrowie ☺️ Rozstępów brak (narazie😋 - wrzucę Wam post co używam do pielęgnacji skóry☺️) Czekanie to cholernie męczące zajęcie. Szczególnie jak czeka ze mną cała rodzina, rodzina mojego męża, wszyscy przyjaciele, znajomi i nieznajomi, wszyscy Wy🥰LOVE! Cholernie miłe i wzruszające jak tyle ludzi czeka na kogoś, kogo noszę pod sercem, a wydawałoby się, że czekamy tylko My... Throwback 😂💕🌸 Two years ago, I was in the final days of nesting and prepping my home-birth space! I was at the point where I didn’t think I’d ever go into labor, cranky and exhausted. SURPRISE I did indeed go into labor 3 days later. Marcus and I were taking walks every night with Mattie before her bedtime. We went team green and had no idea the sex of the baby. Fun fact I had the names picked out pretty early on but hadn’t shared them with Marcus yet in case he didn’t like them because I loved them 😂🤣 , So Marcus spent the final days of my pregnancy on baby sites searching for a boy/girl name. I vetoed all his ideas, and then the day before I went into labor, I texted him while he was at work “ Boy= Johnny Marvel + my girl option (which I’m not spilling 😂). He responded with YES DONE. That was easy!! Also keeping the name choices a secret from my mom was probably the HARDEST thing ever. I legit tell her everything 😂🤣 - @wearingmomjeans on Instagram
