Verification of correct dosages with another nurse is a widespread practice among many professionals and sometimes mandatory in different institutions. Here we go again... 🤯⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ These are just some of the worries that have been whizzing around my mind after watching the Government announcements yesterday. I’ve made no secret of the fact I struggle with anxiety & although I’m feeling much better than a few months ago, this ā€˜second wave’ will certainly challenge that.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I think it’s so crucial we talk about our mental health. Whilst it’s great to want to remain positive & ā€˜just get through this’ it’s also important to admit if you’re not OK.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I am š§šØš­ an expert on this by any stretch, but some of the things I can recommend to help with anxious thought patterns are:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ Write worries down, even overnight, to try to avoid them taking over your brain⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ Discuss how you’re feeling with a loved one⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ Exercise regularly - a mixture of HIIT & yoga works best for me⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ Be conscious of your diet & alcohol consumption and how this affects how you’re feeling⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ Practice mindfulness or meditation, learn about breathing techniques - the @calm app is great for this⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ Schedule time every week to do something nice for YOU. Doesn’t have to be big - mine is a bubble bath & face mask šŸ”¹ Take a break from social media & screens, including news sites if the news contributes to your anxiety⁣⁣ šŸ”¹ If you feel that your anxiety or worries are getting to the point you can’t cope, always seek professional help. While you can try to release the muscle with a tennis ball šŸŽ¾, a lack of thoracic mobility can also commonly contribute to this issue šŸ™ŒšŸ¼.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ āž”ļø To fix interscapular pain, we should be looking at many different contributors šŸ’¢, which can include the cervical spine, thoracic spine, ribs, shoulder joint, scapulothoracic joint, scapular nerves and the trapezius, pecs, serratus anterior and paraspinal muscles to name a few šŸ˜†.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ āœ… This post will be focused on improving thoracic mobility since this is a common cause for discomfort in the interscapular region šŸ”„. Uveitis: non-granulomatous vs. granulomatous (more severe). . . Signs? Whitish larger/smaller round deposits (ā€˜mutton fat appearance’) on the endothelium, injection, anterior chamber reaction, possible synechiae. . . Symptoms? Decreased vision, red, pain, photophobia. . . This case: elderly family member visiting from overseas, due to fly back home in two days. Came in for an🚨visit with classic symptoms, duration of four days. Bilateral KP findings. Patient was sent to on-call ophthalmologist for further work-up including bloodwork and x-ray. My first thought for diagnosis was sarcoidosis. It works well in my case!! ā£ļøā¤ļøā£ļøā£ ⁣ The nutrition industry has fed me enough with negative thoughts on eating ghee since a very long time. When I started gaining weight (not much but I had just started gaining around my waist and thigh but I wasn’t okay with those few extra kgs also) 3-4 years back, I had quit on eating ghee which was my essential while having chapatti. So I had given up on it for two years but nothing good happened after I quit it. ⁣ ⁣ And, then I saw Rujuta Diwekar talk about benefits of ghee and that’s when I decided to again get back to eating just a teaspoon of ghee in my lunch and dinner. After taking it regularly I felt that it was good for my digestion and my skin felt better and in fact I did manage to reduce a lil bit of extra fat (along with some slow exercises). ⁣ ⁣ Ghee works for me and I guess at times you should not be too calculative. Just take it if something benefits you. Try and choose yourself.
