Ingredients in the comments! | By Charles Parks | Alright, we got some cream corn right there. Looks pretty good. Here we go. And this is a corn casserole were making? Yes, this is whole kernel corn. Mhm. You dont juice and all. Juice and all. Mhm. Oh is that supposed to make like the the casserole a little mushy or something or salt? Just a little more yeah texture. Oh okay. Okay we got our two then we take a cup of sour cream. Okay. 8 ounces. Nice. Were just putting it all in the bowl. Like that. Okay. Seems like a pretty easy. It is it is simple. And then you take your eggs okay? Two eggs and you need to put them in a bowl and beat them. Okay. Why do you have to beat the eggs first? Why dont you beat them when you mix the em into the thing? Uh because the yolk and everything gets its a better consistency. Uh they look pretty well beaten. Okay. Okay now. Were going to stir this up. It looks good. Its a good consistency. Its like thick. Yeah. And then add the butter. Stick of melted butter. Okay. Like that. Mix that butter up. Its real juicy. Whats the butter for? Just. Just for a good old flavoring. Okay then you need you got your corn mix. Corn mix. You just dump it in there. Okay just mix it in there. I like that. Make sure you get it all out. Ooh its like comfy. Yeah Stir that up. And then youll need 2 cups of cheese to sprinkle on top. Oh on top of the mix and this product looks like. Take it. Dump it in your grease casserole dish. Nice. Looking good. All the goodness. Mm hmm. Okay. Well just take two cups of sharp cheddar cheese. 2 cups. Is that the whole bag pretty much or? Um. No. No. This is four cups. Oh okay. You dont mind if you jump a little more on it. I probably do put more. Oh yeah thats thats I love cheese. I do too. Who doesnt? You dont lose the whole bag on it though. Just coming up for your Eastern dinners. Oh my gosh. Looks really good. Now bake it for 45 minutes. On 350? On 350. Set our timer. Got 29 ounces of peaches with the juice. With the juice. Gonna pour that in a nine by 13 pan. That looks really good. Then additional 2nine but without draining it. But those theres no juice in that second one. Right. Okay. First okay. Why is that one more it looks like a orange. Its just yeah special. Three fourths teaspoon of cinnamon. Okay. You just going to take the cinnamon. Just you aint got any Oh I like that. Dont want it being all in one spot. Yeah that looks good. So you got the cinnamon. Three fourths teaspoon. Mhm. Okay. Then youre going to take vanilla cake mix. Oh Ive never seen vanilla before. I hadnt either. That looks good. Smells good too. Mm. Take it. So its kind of like a dump cake. Yeah it is. It is a peach dump cake. Cake butter. Yeah. So just spread that out. Its okay to use your hand. I guess my hands are very plain so yeah I mean. Then youre going to take three fourths cup of butter. Alright. And drizzle it because theres no you do not use a spoon on this. Not at all. Or a utensil. Nothing. One pan. One pan four ingredients. What would you call this cake? A peachcake? Peach dump cake. Peach dump cake. So all youre doing is dumping it in there. You got the butter its ready for the oven. Oh, we just put it in the oven? Put it in the oven. How long? 350 for about 45 minutes. Well check it. You gotta dodge the pup. Yeah. Let me let you open that. Okay, I can do that. Lemon. Okay and then well set our timer for 45 minutes. Show them because people the people want to know what the time is. Set 45. We got a little check it. Yeah. Got a finger marked. Meatball dinner tonight. So we got a pound of ground beef right here. Youre going to want to separate it. Mash it all up in a second once we add all of our ingredients. Youre going to throw in a half cup of yellow onion. A/ 4 cup of panko. Of basil. Do a teaspoon of parsley. Mm hmm. Gotta be a little bit more careful than me. Just another little shake. Teaspoon of oregano. This is gives it a good flavor profile. Mm hmm. Then you are going to squeeze in couple slices of lemon. Tip for taste but if you like a little bit extra, you throw a little bit of extra in there. We got our meatballs done. Looking good and we got our potatoes. You lined a cast iron skillet with potatoes. So were going to place in our meatballs and then were going to actually put a slice of potato in between them as well and put some cheese and then some sauce. Think it definitely calls for two pounds of meat instead of one. What do you think? Mhm. For sure. Or at least one and a half. Yeah. Alright now were going to make our sauce. Alright youre going to throw in 2 tablespoons of butter. Then youre going to put in After that melts, Im going to let it melt for a little bit. Now, once the butter is melted, youre going to put in four tablespoons of flour and Im going to stir that until it darkens. And so now youre going to put in two cups of whole milk Once those are in, you just keep stirring. So now youre going to stir and Alright, now were going to add one teaspoon of garlic powder. Mmm. Once its thickened up a little bit. And then youre going to add some salt. Just a pinch. Just a pinch. However you like to taste. Same for pepper. Just a little pitch to taste. So while the sauce is getting made, we got our alright while our sauce is getting made, were going to put some mozzarella balls on there. Just spread them out. Mhm. Make sure theyre even. Right after we get that. Alright, were going to put our red sauce on top of this. Its just one cup and it should go all across. Alright, now were going to do our cream sauce all across it as well. Just take your pot and pour all the way on top. Do we only use a little bit of marinara? Yeah, just 1 cup. Oh, that looks good. Make sure theyre coated nice and low. Now, were going to cover the Alright. Did you get all this sauce Chris? No. Do we need all of it? I think were good. And Im and Im videoing. Alright. Were going to cover the entire thing with some shredded mozzarella and if youre like me and love cheese. Yeah, exactly. Use it all. Cant go wrong with little extra cheese. Get them arteries nice and flush. Mm hmm. Looking good. Alright, now were going to throw it in the oven. Its preheated to three fifty. Gotta do it. Great. Alright. Looking good. Alright. Now, were going to pop it in the oven at three fifty. For how long? 45 in an hour. 45 in an hour. Just keep an eye on it. Oh, buddy. Wow. This looks really good. I cannot wait to bite into this. Look at that crunch. Look at that crunch. Hows it looking? Oh my. Smells bubbling too. Look at that. That looks really good. Now we gotta get our taste tester. Wheres he at? Ooh were getting some ice cream to go with it. Yes. Vanilla ice cream is this cake is they said is best served warm. Oh it is? Yes so. Look this is a cake or a cobbler. Its a peach dump cake. It looks like that cobbler you made. It does look like peach cobbler almost. You ready to try this? Yes sir. Okay. It even smells buttery. Look at that. It does look like a cobbler. Its supposed to be a little runny like that? Yes. Yes it is. Okay. Hopefully burn his mouth. Well lets blow on it for a second. Blow on it. Gotta get my Use the ice cream and you should cool it off. That one has to be ate with the spoon. Thats pretty hot. Yeah Id blow on that. Its too hot. Okay. I know its just really hot. Tastes a lot like peach cobbler. What would you give it? Eight point two. Okay. Alright, lets see how it is. Oh yeah. Oh it smells so good. Smells really good. Wow. Look at that. Its a bubbling. Bubbling. Were going to add some fresh basil on top. Oh yeah. Lets cut open to that thing. Mhm. And scratch the thing. That looks delicious. Mhm.

『日本橋木屋 本目立 純銅おろし金』 職人さんが一つ一つ 手作業で目立てをした 純銅製のおろし金です。 銅のおろし金は鋭い切れ味をもち、 大根おろしの仕上がりもみずみずしく美味! 裏面は細かい目の薬味おろし用。 一枚で幅広く使えます。 このおろし金は 錫めっきを施した銅板に、 鏨(タガネ)を当て金槌で叩き おろし目の一つ一つを 手作業で起こして作ります。 人の手で目立てをすることが 本目立ておろし金の 素晴らしい特徴を生み出すのです。 良いところとは、 大根をはじめなんでも「ラク」に おろせるところ。 「ラク」になるためのポイントは、 目が不揃いであること。 切れ味が鋭いこと。 切れ味が長持ちすること。 姿がかっこいいこと(?)。 ポイントだらけですが一つずつ申し上げると、 手作業で目立てをしたものは、 機械目立てのものに比べ 目の高さや向きが不揃いになります。 良い意味でバラバラ。 均一ではないのです。 それにより、ずっと同じ方向に 大根(しょうが、にんじん、れんこん、 やまいも、なんでも)を動かして 最後までおろし続けることができる。 途中でスカッとなって、 おろす野菜の方向を 一々変える必要がありません。 途中でスカッとなって 向きを変えるの、 地味に面倒だと思うのですが、 解消されます。 鏨で銅を鋭く立ち上がらせるので おろし目はもはや刃と言っても 過言ではないほどの切れ味を持ちます。 切れ味が鋭ければ言わずもがな、 おろし金の表面で軽く動かすだけで どんどん「切れて」いきます。 想像以上に素早く、 みずみずしい「おろし」が でき上るので、おもしろくて しばらく何でもおろしたくなること 請け合いです。切れる包丁で やたらに千切りしたくなるみたいな…。 そして鋭い切れ味がかなり長持ちします。 使用頻度やおろすものによって 差はありますが、一般家庭で 野菜をおろしているならば、 だいたい数(十)年単位で快適に使えます。 目が丸くなっておろし辛くなったら 「目立て」ができるのも銅のおろし金の良いところ。 一旦これまでの目を全部取り払い、 新たに目立てをするので心機一転、 鋭いおろし金によみがえります。 修理にお持ちになった方へ インタビューすると 少し前までは10年くらい使用した、 という方が多く、最近はもう少し早めに お持ちになる方が多いような印象です。 人によって切れ味の許容範囲が異なるため、 ご自身が切れないな、と感じたら目立て時です。 我が家のものは20年近くなりますが まあ現役、としている感じ。 そろそろ目立てしても良いかと思い始めて 5年くらい経っています…。 姿が格好いい。 なんと江戸時代前期の正徳2年(1712)に 刊行された当時の百科事典 「和漢三才圖會」にも ほとんど同じ形のおろし金の絵が 掲載されているくらい変わっていない。 進化が止まっている? 否、おそらく、 同じ銅板を繰り返し利用して、 目立て直しをしつつ数十年間使う、 という目的に適っているため この形が現在まで保たれているのでは ないかと予想しています。 手入れ方法は、これは簡単です。 水で流すだけ。 基本的に野菜類しかおろさないと思うので 使い終わったらざっと水で流してください。 それだけでおろし屑はだいたい落ちます。 目に引っかかって気になる部分があれば そこだけ薬味寄せなどで ちょいちょい、っとひっかけば すぐに取れます。 ふだんはその程度で十分。 気になったら時々束子と洗剤で洗うくらいで 良いのではないでしょうか。 これらの作業、 使い古しの歯ブラシで代用しても 良いと言われていますが、 実際悪くはないのですが、 おろし目の切れ味が鋭いので ナイロンの毛が切れて 水と一緒に流れていくんじゃないかな~ と考えてしまうので、 個人的には薬味寄せや 天然繊維の束子でやっています。 これらも削れて流れていっているはずですが、 土にかえるものなので罪悪感がないなと。 流した後の水気は、 ふきんやキッチンペーパーで少し 押さえて取ります。 目がびっしりと立っているので、 完全に拭き取ることはできませんから そこは諦めます。 金属の色はどんどん黒ずんでいきます。 これも諦めます。 機能に変わりはありません。 持ち手のところは磨けますが 目のところはトゲトゲで手を出せませんから どちらもそのまま、 全体が渋く変色していくのを 愛でる道具だと思います。 目立て修理に出すと、 全部を一からやり直すので、 一瞬ピカピカに戻ります。 でき上がりを受け取ると感動します。 その時をお楽しみに。 「日本橋木屋 本目立て 純銅おろし金」 シンプルで無駄のない、って 使い古された形容ですが、 江戸時代から使い古されずに令和に残る 実用的で格好いい調理道具です。 (h) 【写真】 日本橋木屋 本目立て 純銅おろし金#4 ☆自宅で料理に挑戦しよう~Stay Home and Enjoy Cooking~第三弾☆ 【日本橋木屋 本目立て純銅おろし金をお買い上げの方に木屋オリジナル薬味寄&薬味小皿プレゼントフェア】 ・木屋WEBショップ本店、ヤフー店にて開催中 ・2020/8/8~8/31受注分対象 - @nihonbashi_kiya on Instagram
