Spraying the primer, this is the first of two coats of Corroless S. All edges were stripe coated first. The paint was completely touch dry within 2 hours. Hard dry and ready for another coat in 4 with today’s ambient temperature being around 18 degrees. Update on Lacey: It’s been a rough and exhausting few days. Finally have pain under control after a grueling weekend. Other symptoms are also now subsiding. She developed autoimmune colitis caused by Nivolumab (Opdivo)one of her chemo/immunotherapy agents. -Started on systemic steroids. She’ll be staying at the hospital a few more days. So it all started a little over a year ago.... A 100+ year old piano that needed a home but repairs to keep it as a piano would be too much. 💡 After many, many, MANY hours disassembling (gutting) the rebuilding started. A new desktop, copious layers of primer, shelves, bottom storage (with careful attention to leave the feet peddles😉), and of course some shiplap😍. Then the perfect chairs were stripped of layers of paint & FIVE disgusting layers of fabric😖, re-padded , reupholstered & repainted. Taking some time to complete our own projects has been nice & this is one thing that wasn’t finished for our homeschool year last year but with some reprioritizing we’re ready for this year!! Instagram isnt nice to me lately. Instagram removes followers when you dont post for a while. As they want to make money and they can only make money when they are able to keep people on their app. But Im just unable to post on a daily base while preparing a project. So I decided to post an older MOC of mine that I have updated a bit. The build is inspired by an early modern times picture of my hometown in medieval times and shows the front on the river side. I consider of extending the build someday with more such little buildings to show the fascinating world of living in a town in medieval times. After a few digital MOCs lately, it was a blast to actually build with real LEGO bricks. This MOC started as a concept back in October 2019 and was put aside while working on my previous released MOCs. Finally took the time to finish it up, main feature of the MOC must be the roof technique I guess. No nets were used, this is achieved by clipping various bits on flex tubes across the roof line.
