This post is about design critiques and tips on how to run them. I see this as one of the most important rituals for increasing the quality of a teams work and bringing designers together. Let me know what you think of the content and if you have any questions. The I wish and I like notes are a format I stole from IDEO. Instead of saying I dont like or change this you can say I wish the icon style was consistent with our guidelines. Its a more positive way of framing the same feedback. Also make sure to not make it too narrow or too broad. Too narrow:I wish the button was 2px to the left. Too broad I wish the button was nicer. And ask for feedback on whats currently working, that helps you make sure you dont take steps back in your solution. Hi all. About 7 months ago I went to work for an organization called Clean Prosperity. Our work is about finding ‘market-based solutions to the climate crisis that will grow our economy.’ For (the very few) people whose eyes don’t glaze over when I tell them this, I go on to talk about carbon pricing, and the importance of baking in the cost of pollution. Anything less creates an impossible burden for consumers. It’s the simplest, easiest, cheapest, fairest, quickest way to solve the climate crisis. But it’s much easier to tell this story with comics! To our partners, our clients, and the gaming community... Being at a loss for words is not an excuse for remaining silent. We watched, as many did, the video of George Floyd’s murder. We continue to watch, as many do, the coverage of pain-filled protests happening in cities across America as its citizens cry out for justice and demand safety and accountability from their government. And while this has been happening, we’ve seen some say that gamers, specifically, should “stay in their lane,” and that politics isn’t an issue where our voices are welcomed. Well, that’s complete bullshit and we’re tired of hearing it. The systematic oppression, aggression, fear, and brutality that is placed at the doorstep of Black Americans, as though it was their birthright, has been unacceptable for a very long time. As humans committed to equality and justice we all must speak a better world into existence and work to bring that world to reality. It is too easy to join a lobby, queue up, and leave the problems of the world behind. But we must remember that injustice and brutality continue even when we can lose ourselves in-game. We must remember that the only solution for racism will be found in the collective, proactive actions taken to oppose it. The painful truth is that George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others should be alive, instead of names in an ongoing bloody chapter of our history. That chapter will end when all of us take responsibility, stand together, and decide that enough is enough. If we all dig deep inside ourselves we will find the courage to stand up against the blatant discrimination and brutal treatment of Black Americans at the hands of the police. We’ll find the courage to stand in our own discomfort as we wrestle and reconcile our respective fears with the responsibility to do what is so obviously right. And we might just find the courage to demand, with our platforms, our partners, and our privileges, that the system give every American the same expectation of protection, provision, and promotion within it. - @nilesheron on Instagram

Meanwhile, men are less frequent visitors to general practitioners, and the perception is that they dont care about health or that health services are not well-prepared to interact with men effectively. In Australia, Mens Health Week provides a platform for challenging and debating key issues in mens health and to raise the profile of men, their health outcomes and health needs around the country each June. We are excited to kick off our Quaranzine and share some images from the first issue with Carissa Potter (@peopleiveloved). Quaranzine is a series of six creative activity zines which include word games, treasure hunts, colorful cooking ideas, gardening inspiration, and more. The project was created as a way to connect with our community through the printed page, to showcase our creative collaborators, and ✊ fundraise ✊ for those in need during this unprecedented pandemic. Quaranzine profits will be donated to food banks, urban farms, and organizations helping our healthcare heroes. Our June subscriptions will support @greensgrow farm (Philadelphia, PA) and @colorofchange in support of the #justiceforbre campaign for healthcare hero Breonna Taylor (first responder who served the frontlines of the pandemic).
