Spirit Haji: respect dan empati Tadabur qs 62:2 & 3:97 Setiap syariat yg diturunkan untuk manusia senantiasa mengandung tiga unsur yg sekaligus menjadi tujuannya. Ketiganya yaitu: tauhid (aqidah), syariat (fiqih), akhlak (tazkiyatun nafs). Begitupun ibadah haji, indikator mabrur terletak pada sikap dermawan dan santun dalam tutur kata. Hal itu sebagaimana yg dijelaskan oleh Rasulullah s.a.w saat beliau ditanya Sahabat tentang “apa itu haji mabrur.?”. Jawab beliau s.a.w: “toyibul kalam, wa ith’amu tho’am.” Artinya “ yang baik perkataannya, dan banyak berbagi makanan (dermawan).” Bukan seperti yg dipikir banyak orang bahwa kemabruran haji ditandai dengan melimpahnya materi selepas haji. Kalaupun itu terjadi, maka sebenarnya itu hanya efek dari keberkahan hajinya yang mabrur. Menjaga lisan dan tutur kata yang baik adalah sikap respect tertinggi. Sebaliknya, Karena lisan lah prahara dan konflik kebanyakan terjadi. Ia lebih tajam dari pedang dan menghunjam ke relung jiwa dalam waktu yang panjang. Sikap berbagi (sedekah) adalah sikap empati kepada kekurangan dan kesulitan orang lain. sedekah juga dapat menolak bala, menambah harta, obat bagi penyakit, mendatangkan keberkahan, menghindarkan kematian yg buruk, dan tentunya mengundang berkah dan rahmat Allah. Amal ibadah kita sangat berbanding lurus dengan akhlak sosial kita. El Teatro Colón de calle Corrientes 481 a poco de su inauguración en 1904. Fue, especialmente en sus primeros años, una de las principales salas líricas de Rosario. En 1958 cayó bajo la piqueta, víctima de la especulación inmobiliaria y ante la indiferencia de los rosarinos. Una de las más importantes pérdidas que sufrimos los rosarinos. El Teatro Colón estaba ubicado en calle Corrientes casi Urquiza y comenzado a construir en 1899 bajo los proyectos Augusto Plou y finalizado luego bajo las órdenes de Cayetano Rezzara. Fue inaugurado el 19 de mayo de 1904 y no llegaría a los 60 años ya que fue demolido en su totalidad a fines de los 50. Su lamentable desaparición fue un golpe duro para muchos y sobre todo para los de este siglo aunque la época del 60 ya sabemos, fue un período de cambios con ansias de modernidad. - @rosarioeneltiempo on Instagram

#deSOVMODisation ⭐Гостиница “Славутич”. Авторами проекта были архитекторы Вадим Евстафьевич Ладный и Генрих Станиславович Кульчицкий. Ее снимки можно увидеть почти в каждом советском альбоме про Киев. Такое внимание она заслужила своей архитектурой и живописной локацией. 16-этажей модернистской гостиницы расположили полураскрытой книжкой на искусственном острове жилого массива Русановка, в месте впадения Русановского канала в залив Днепра. Открыли ее в 1972 году. Она успешно работала и принимала более 500 гостей столицы одновременно. При новых рыночных условиях гостиница начала потихоньку загибаться. В 2008 году ее попытались оживить. Там провели внутреннюю реконструкцию, добавили конференц-залы, сделали ремонт. Через 8 лет Славутич был закрыт, из-за конфликта собственников. В 2019 году земельный участок с закрытой гостиницей Киевсовет передал в аренду на 25 лет ООО “Хотел Проперти”. В 2020 КГГА разрешила им реконструировать гостиницу “Славутич” - фото 3. Ее превращают в офисный центр. Проект разработала архитектурная студия IDEOMA Architecture в составе команды Zotov&co. Хотелось бы узнать, как вам реализация проекта реконструкции? Сейчас гостиницу полностью очистили от внутренностей, обшили фасад, полностью перекрыли ячейки балконов новым остеклением. Работы продолжаются. 🤷Очень грустно. Sudah pasti jika kanca Jogja mengabadikan titik nol km saat itu, maka beginilah gambarannya. . Jalan utama residenhuis straat tak lebar sangat, demikian juga bangunan2 megah seperti kantor pos, java banksche belum berdiri . Pepohonan khas Jawa abad 19 masih sangat dominan. Tak heran gedung agung disebut orang jogja sebagai loji kebon sebab pepohonan raksasa yg rimbun merupakan pemandangan saat itu. . Loji gede alias Benteng Vredeburg pun tampak asri dengan taman. . ✡ Svetová architektúra v Žiline, ktorú zachránilo nadľudské úsilie. Sme radi, že prichádzame s výstavou práve do Novej synagógy. Všetkých 209 grafík uvidíte od 8. do 20. septembra. Vytvorili sme novú grafiku synagógy a prišli sme s ňou do Žiliny o deň skôr. Niekoľko kusov sme darovali ľuďom zo synagógy. Zvyšok sme zobrali na stanicu Záriečie, ktorú to isté združenie tiež premenilo na kultúrne centrum európskeho formátu. Synagógu navrhol svetoznámy nemecký architekt Peter Behrens, priekopník modernizmu aj priemyselného staviteľstva. Stala sa jednou z najdôležitejších stavieb na Slovensku a vďačiť za to môžeme architektonickej súťaži z roku 1928. Vieme, čo prišlo potom. Totalita najprv pripravila Židov o ich práva a následne väčšinu z nich zavraždili. Do synagógy sa už nikdy nevrátili. Stal sa z nej sklad obilia a nábytku. Neskôr kultúrny dom, školská aula a kino. Keď sa v roku 2011 ocitla synagóga v ponuke na prenájom, ujali sa jej záchrancovia zo združenia Truc Sphérique v zmluve na 30 rokov. Odvtedy tvrdo pracujú na jej premene na kultúrne centrum. Kúsok po kúsku, ale už nechýba veľa. Toto napísali pred rokmi: „Našou základnou motiváciou je samotná budova. Je múdra aj krásna.“ Autorom grafiky je dizajnér Ondrej Gavalda, ktorý pre nás navrhol koncepciu výstavy. V Žiline si ho pamätajú z doby, keď tvoril graffiti. Maras in Peru and Great Salt Lake in Utah, two extraordinary sites where key products are produced in artisanal and industrial ways. Las Salineras de Maras or the Maras Salt Mines is a must-see for anyone traveling to Peru’s culturally rich Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu area. These man-made salt pans have been carefully carved into the mountainside, and some of the ponds are believed to have been developed by the Pre-Incan Wari culture. In reality the salt deposits were buried beneath the ground and thus the salt is only accessible from an underground water flow of brine⁠ – a mixture of salt and water⁠ – that rises to the surface via a natural spring near the small town of Maras. Have you ever tried Peruvian Pink Salt? The Great Salt Lake is the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi River in the US. Many different minerals are harvested from the lake, like Sodium chloride (common salt) and Magnesium amongst others. This industry has a significant impact on the economy for the State of Utah. The lake also plays a strong role for tourism and conservancy. This massive lake offers a unique ecosystem for the few species that can survive in its waters, most notably brine shrimp which can measure up to 0.5 inches long. The lake is also a critically important refuge for bird migration. Jakarta, 17 Agustus 1945. Pembacaan teks proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia telah dilakukan pada pukul 10.00 WIB, namun berita yang ditunggu-tunggu itu tidak kunjung terdengar di radio. Stasiun Radio Bandung Hoshokyoku yang mengirim dua teknisinya untuk membantu penyiaran tidak mendapat kabar dari kedua orang tersebut. Menjelang sore, kedua teknisi tersebut akhirnya tiba di Bandung dengan kabar bahwa tentara Jepang menduduki studio dan melarang penyiaran berita proklamasi. Pada saat yang bersamaan, Kantor Berita Domei yang bermarkas di gedung De Driekleur (tergambar di atas) menerima kawat berisi teks proklamasi dari Jakarta. Tentara Jepangpun menghalang-halangi berita ini untuk tersiar lewat media cetak dengan melarang surat kabar Tjahaya Bandoeng untuk menerbitkan berita apapun tentang proklamasi. Para wartawan tidak kehabisan akal. Mereka menulis teks proklamasi pada papan tulis untuk dipajang di depan kantor. Masyarakat yang melewati gedung kantor segera mengerumuni papan tulis. Semangat yang meluap-luap mendorong beberapa wartawan, diantaranya Atje Bastaman, untuk mengumumkannya di depan orang banyak. Berkat kerja keras para wartawan dan antusiasme warga Bandung untuk menyebarkan informasi dari mulut ke mulut, berita proklamasi tersebar dengan cepat di Bandung hari itu juga. Pegawai Stasiun Radio Bandung Hoshokyoku yang mendengar kabar dari Domei akhirnya sanggup menyiarkan berita dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris pada malam harinya yang dapat didengar di berbagai penjuru dunia. Malam itu juga, radio ex-Bandung Hoshokyoku menggunakan nama Radio Republik Indonesia untuk pertama kalinya. Kini, 75 tahun setelah malam yang menegangkan tersebut, Kantor Berita Domei sudah lama berhenti beroperasi, namun, bangunan yang terletak di persimpangan Jl. Dago dan Jl. El incendio de El Sótano en 1957 significó una gran pérdida para la vida artística local pero a finales de la década de 1950 con la conclusión parcial del edificio FIUC, emplazado en la esquina de las calles Barros Arana con Caupolicán y obra de los arquitectos Osvaldo Cáceres, Alejandro Rodríguez, Gabriela González junto con Edmundo Buddemberg, se abrió un nuevo espacio, la Galería Universitaria, actualmente conocida como David Stitchkin Brannover, la cual rápidamente se convirtió en un referente clave de los espacios de exhibición artística, más aún después del terremoto de 1960 que implicó la pérdida de dos importantes espacios universitarios asociados al arte, los talleres de Víctor Lamas con Caupolicán y el edificio de OHiggins 850 donde funcionaba la Escuela de Periodismo, el cual era utilizado para exhibiciones temporales. Mañana en el espacio que Historia Arquitectónica de Concepción posee en el @matinalnuestracasa de Canal Regional estaremos conversando de este tema, (hoy hubo problemas técnicos y se tuvo que posponer). Las primeras 2 fotografías son del Archivo Fotográfico de la Universidad de Concepción y la última del archivo de Eugenio Brito, cuando las figuras de Las Tres Pascualas fueron exhibidas en la Galería Universitaria antes de ser montadas en el mural, único vestigio del edificio FIUC original, el cual fue remodelado después del terremoto del 2010 con materiales inferiores y una calidad de diseño que dista del lenguaje original del edificio. Πλατεία 1821 – Σπλάντζια Η πλατεία της Σπλάντζιας, σημερινή Πλατεία 1821, βρίσκεται στην ανατολική πλευρά της παλιάς πόλης των Χανίων. Αποτελούσε την κατεξοχήν τουρκική συνοικία της πόλης με κέντρο τη σημερινή πλατεία 1821. Σήμερα στη βορειοδυτική άκρη της υπάρχει η βενετσιάνικη εκκλησία του Αγίου Ρόκκου, ανατολικά της πλατείας η εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου και στο κέντρο ένας τεράστιος πλάτανος. Κάτω από τον πλάτανο υπήρχε ένα οκτάγωνο αραβικό κιόσκι, στο οποίο είχαν δικαίωμα να κάθονται και να απολαμβάνουν τον καφέ τους τιτλούχοι της πολιτείας και επιφανείς μπέηδες και αγάδες. Πάνω στον συγκεκριμένο πλάτανο οι Οθωμανοί, στις 19 Μαΐου 1821, απαγχόνισαν τον επίσκοπο Κισσάμου Μελχισεδέκ. Ανάμεσα στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου και τον πλάτανο βρίσκεται η τουρκική υπόγεια κρήνη, η δεξαμενή της οποίας είχε τέτοια χωρητικότητα, ώστε να καλύπτει την πόλη των Χανίων για έξι μήνες. Τα τελευταία χρόνια η συνοικία της Σπλάντζιας έχει μεταμορφωθεί από φτωχή περιοχή με σκοτεινά σοκάκια σε μια από τις πιο δημοφιλείς συνοικίες της πόλης. Flora & Fauna Friday There are numerous species of beetles in the insect world, but the only species that makes me excited like a kid on Christmas morning is the ironclad beetle. I do not see them often, actually only have seen four or so in my whole life, they are a rare find. These beetles are quite a sight, their coloration scheme is exactly the opposite of most beetles dark brown or black to camouflage them on the ground. They have a white body with black markings and little bumps all over the exoskeleton, sometimes referred to as little tanks. More than likely their coloration helps them blend in with lichen on tree trunks. They are slower moving than most beetles you find, and very secretive as well. They can be found on pecans and oak trees, crawling on the bark or sometimes under dead bark. Since their sightings are low, little is known about their biology, it is thought that adults feed on lichen and decaying wood. One of the interesting things about these beetles is they play dead. Sometimes they will sit in a jar and not move for hours, you will think it is dead. Though if you placed it outside the jar, after a few seconds the little guy will crawl away! The Real Story of the Burning of Hampton Part 1: Controversy Then and Now On the night of August 7, 1861, Confederate soldiers under Brig. Gen. John B. Magruder destroyed Hampton by methodically setting fires across the town. The conflagration could be seen for miles, shocking Hampton Roads residents and military personnel alike. U.S. Maj. Gen. Benjamin F. Butler, commander of Fort Monroe and U.S. forces in the area, reported that he could not “discern the strategical importance of this movement” and called the burning a “wanton and unnecessary act.” However, Magruder believed burning Hampton would eliminate its “extreme importance” to U.S. forces. Why would Confederates deliberately and violently destroy their own property? Why did Confederates believe burning Hampton was vital to their war effort, while U.S. forces could not identify any strategic motive? Traditionally, the cause of the burning of Hampton is described as an effort to prevent U.S. forces from using the town as winter quarters for troops. However, at the time of the burning, no additional housing was needed for Federal troops stationed nearby, and U.S. Army leaders never had any plans to establish winter quarters at Hampton. Instead, original records show that Magruder’s decision to destroy Hampton stemmed from Butler’s “Contraband” policy and the growing numbers of escaped “Contraband” slaves near Fort Monroe and Hampton. The proud men and women of the Oakland Fire Department responded to a reported structure Fire this morning at 0815 hours. Upon arrival the crews were met by heavy smoke and fire in a mixed use “tax payer” commercial building. Marine Drive & the automobile, 1953. Archival pic from “Our Bombay,” a Dec. 1953 publication by Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) in which Prime Minister Nehru wrote: ‘A city, like a house, is not a mere collection of steel and brick, cement and mortar. It is the outward expression of the life of a community’. Marine Drive with 35 consecutive Art Deco sea facing buildings was the road to be on. The automobile brought speed, power, streamlined design, mobility and symbolised both success and affluence in a modern aspirational city. In these pics @karlbhote tells us we see a mix of primarily English and American cars. Convertibles were already falling out of favour, confirmed by only one seen at the bottom right, likely a Sunbeam Talbot drophead coupe. Since this is the pre Fiat Ambassador days, we see mostly foreign cars - majority of which were assembled in India. Ford had large scale assembly operations in Bombay. General Motors had similar operations in Sewri where Buick (retailed by Metro Motors), and Chevrolet cars (retailed by The Bombay Garage), rolled out. Dodge and Plymouth cars were assembled at Premier Automobiles Kurla facility, and retailed by The Bombay Cycle and Motor Agency which still stands at Sandhurst bridge. Across the road were the stunning modern Deco showrooms of Dadajee Dhackjee & Co, agents for Packard and Mercedes-Benz cars, at Shree Pant Bhuvan. The English were represented by Morris cars, sold by the French Motor Car Co. at New Queens Road and Hillman Minx cars were assembled by Automobile Products of India (API) at their Bhandup facility. Austin cars were sold by The Automobile Co. Ltd, also at New Queens Road. A HOSPEDARIA DOS IMIGRANTES em Vila Velha (1889) . . As hospedarias eram grandes edificações construídas para acolher os imigrantes recém-chegados de diversas partes do mundo. Eram assim, um ponto de encontro de estrangeiros, de diversas nacionalidades, reunidos em um só espaço. As estruturas eram preparadas para abrigar centenas de pessoas ao mesmo tempo. A princípio, essas construções tinham por finalidade fazer cumprir as obrigações sanitárias de isolamento dos estrangeiros, antes do contato destes com a população nativa, para se evitar a transmissão de doenças ou epidemias. Eram, por isso, também dotadas de enfermarias e leitos hospitalares. Além do cumprimento das medidas sanitárias, as hospedarias permitiam um melhor controle sobre a distribuição dos imigrantes, antes destes serem encaminhados ao seu destino final. No Espírito Santo, a Hospedaria dos Imigrantes da Pedra DÁgua foi inaugurada em 1889, na entrada da baía de Vitória, em uma área pertencente, na atualidade, ao município de Vila Velha. Entre os anos de 1889 a 1900, período do maior fluxo migratório no Estado, a hospedaria recebeu mais de 20 mil imigrantes. Em 1891 foram 4.454 e em 1895, ano de maior movimento, foram 4.632 imigrantes. Antes do início do funcionamento da hospedaria, o desembarque se dava diretamente no porto de Vitória e os alojamentos ficavam localizados em barracões, improvisados, nas circunvizinhanças da capital ou então as famílias seguiam diretamente para as colônias. Jani Beg was a member of the Tarkhan Dynasty (1554-1591) and the last independent ruler of Sindh before its annexation by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1591. He was reinstated as governor of Thatta after his submission and died in c.1599. His mausoleum is an octagonal brick structure with a domed roof in the tradition of Islamic funerary architecture and stands on a terraced platform in a walled enclosure. The tomb is part of a great necropolis, reputedly the largest in the world, which lies on the plateau of the Makli hills, a limestone outcrop to the west of Tatta. The necropolis contains over a million graves, including the mausoleums of Sindh’s rulers.
