Questo anche grazie alluso di colori delicati anche pastello e acquerellati, le linee orizzontali ne segnano i confini che si sovrappongono in unimmensa esperienza di spazio-colore in cui ci si può immergere, quasi camminando dentro lopera. . Probabilmente ci sono ancora così tante annotazioni che non riescono a spiegare i nostri dipinti. La loro spiegazione deve sorgere da una profonda esperienza tra immagine e osservatore. Lapprezzamento dellarte è un vero matrimonio dei sensi. The selection of works will premiere simultaneously on the gallery’s website and on #ARTSY. - - Looking at Franklin Collao’s practice, we find ways to articulate how the historic oppositional realms of abstraction and figuration may become queered. In his most recent body of work, the artist depicts the breaking down of barriers and the process of transition from one reality or symbolic system of truth into another. A recurrent image in the selection, is a galvanized chain link fence that has been clipped and pulled apart. Van Mierlo finds it fascinating how the heartfelt and sincere work of artists, often driven by poverty, is put in stark contrast to the commercialization of their work after their passing. With ‘Tiger Merch’ he addresses this contrast, by creating his own merchandise while he is still alive. This release, looking like mass-produced merchandise on first sight, consists of undomesticated and qualitatively products made in limited editions to unique items. Bertoia-Era Curtis Jere Spray Kinetic Steel Wire Sculptures Important pair of matching MCM decorative art pieces by the great metalwork artist Curtis Jere. Curtis Jere was very popular in the 70’s and he continued to create through the 90’s. This piece is abstract in style and features a faux marble resin base pedestal atop which a spray of steel kinetic wires sit. It does have paper labels which verify it as authentic Curtis Jere and not in his manner or a repro. This pair is rather rare as our research has not unearthed any other example. Very much reminicent an likely inspired by the work of Harry Bertoia. Wires are flexible enough that air will move them in a kinetic fashion with even a slight breeze. Overall, this set is beautiful throughout with no real damage aside from a few small chips to the base from handling, but nothing unexpected. Please see the pictures for a closer look. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the silent and seemingly monochrome creations, which, through the use of colour and materiality, enable the power of memory and remembrance. Novotný creates his works using acrylic on polyester organza, stretched on a wooden frame. The paper and canvas inserts and threads on the reverse of the painting lead to a great sensitivity. This notion of bare presence conveys that Novotný uses painting as a medium to solidify his artistic vision. The work’s tactility invites viewers to “feel” rather than “see” them. As a result, Novotný’s creative process allows the exploration of the painting’s perception and inherent purity. Beginning in the 1920s, Léger became increasingly interested in the decorative and muralistic possibilities of his work.⠀ .⠀ Peinture murale sur fond jaune is part of a monumental series produced in the early 1950s, in which Léger studied a vertical geometric form, outlined in black. Here, the artist set that graphic motif against a vibrant field of yellow, charging the work with electricity. While the fond jaune appears boldly opaque from afar, the background is in fact subtly varied.⠀ .⠀ Légers serial experiments with shape and color are a signature aspect of his abstract paintings.
