🔹Volume Needs To Be Increased Over Your Training Career🔹 🔹The key to progressing from novice to intermediate to advanced is providing overload. At the early stages, you can simply add weight to the bar and do the same reps and sets and make progress (note that just increasing weight does increase volume). But, once this strategy no longer works, you have to find a new way to induce overload, and if you can’t just add weight to the bar that means increasing training volume more assertively via adding additional sets, reps or days of training. 🔹As in the graph above, the bigger and stronger you get, the slower your progress will be. You will need to do more and more to get lesser and lesser progress the more experienced you become. When your progress stalls, an increase in volume may be just what you need. However it is possible to do too much volume and negatively affect recovery. My good buds at @vidoolymedia have published a great report on the state of digital video in 2019. 2019 has been the year of the rise of Tiktok and Instagram in India. In my view the numbers clout of tiktok growth has been more than matched by the premium clout of Insta - if you know what I mean. Every brand manager and media buyer wants to know what the Insta number is of a tiktok star and it’s almost an after thought now, what the Facebook followers are (most of the new age stars aren’t using FB - they’re just on Insta and tiktok and maybe snap). So I took the Insta snapshot of the most viewed profiles in the report and dove deeper into REAL engagement. Likes and comments - remember likes are cheap - a quick double tap and move on is the way a lot of millennials and Gen Zs will consume Insta. To stop and comment is the REAL ACID TEST. September 2020 In Review: (See August Calendar post for goals) The Good 📈 Consistency in setups, sizing, 70% win rate, no consecutive red days. Most consecutive Green Day’s in my trading career. The Bad📉 It’s hard to see where I could’ve done better. I think for starters can eliminate all premarket trading. Also I need make sure I’m shorting outer lines when the premarket base hasn’t broken and avoid the rare times I chased a breakdown. The Short 💭 This was my best month ever. Took consistent setups. Stayed away from the rogue 1-2 trades I’d take a month and losses were managed properly. The Pop 💡 Going into October the idea is to stick to the same process and size in more on A+ setups. I can do a better job at holding more size to reach my second profit target to increase profits. Also may benefit from eliminating premarket trading. I usually end up taking a very small loss that I have to make back when the market opens. Thank you to all for following the journey, it’s added another level of accountability and has helped increased consistency.
