✅Having been training consistently since 1980, I’ve gone through most every “type” of training over those 4 decades, using ‘most’ every “traditional” exercise, methodology, system, and style known for dedicated phases over that time. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ✅Some of these practices “worked better” than others for me, and some—in hindsight— only caused “issues” after the first workout. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ✅Aside from training for a specific sport that depends on a certain tool-of-loading (eg PowerLifting), productive training is in selecting the most ‘efficient’ exercises AND form of resistance that works ‘with’ your body’s innate mechanics and the law of physics. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ✅You may be able to violate foundational training principles of biomechanics or physics for a period of time and seem to “get away with it” yet there are “hidden” consequences occurring that will at some point come-to-surface. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🛎Productive training requires: 1️⃣Effectiveness 2️⃣Efficiency 3️⃣Sustainability 🔄Period. 🔺While there’s a % of population that is content with just “exercising” in a way that entertains themselves, “pays their dues” by burning calories, or at least keeps them “active”, there are those who want to experience the highest ‘return-on-investment’ for their time and energy, AND to actualize as close to their genetic potential in muscular development as possible 🤔 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ✅The only training resource I’ve come across in continuous study through these years that can be referred to as ‘the final say’ on optimal EXERCISE SELECTION and EXECUTION is Doug Brignole’s THE PHYSICS of RESISTANCE EXERCISE (TPRE) 🔺With the multitude of books on fitness, S&C, bodybuilding out there... how can any single book be called “the final say”? 🔺Simply due to the fact that TPRE is based on universal laws of physics and human anatomy. So yesterday I hit the forty days and nights to go mark.Personally this part of the prep isn’t my favorite but I know too that this is were the weak are weeded out. My carbs consists of two cups of rice for the day. I burn 400-500 fasted calories each morning. I stay busy working all day minus the two hours before bed. This time I’m usually having to get in two more meals since my busy schedule doesn’t always allow for all my feeding times. En el gimnasio, en tu casa, un cuarto de hotel, en el parque, en cualquier lugar puedes hacer ejercicios como los legendarios Push-Ups o flexiones de pecho, lagartijas, etc. Es tan popular este movimiento que se han desarrollado innumerables variaciones de este, algunas muy novedosas y otras un tanto lesivas. Como bien sabes, los #PushUps te permiten trabajar principalmente con el pectoral mayor, pero no olvides que durante su recorrido están involucrados otros grupos musculares como los de los hombros y brazos de forma sinérgica, así como la acción tenso protectora de la zona media y el antagonismo de los músculos de la espalda. La anatomía de cada persona es diferente, por lo que debes buscar tus ángulos de trabajo correctos. Por ello, te dejaremos tres principios básicos a tener en cuenta durante la ejecución de tus Push-Ups. 1. Ángulo de los Codos. Para que asegures una saludable acción de los tejidos conectivos de esta articulación debes cerciorarte de tener un ángulo de 90° en los codos al momento de encontrarte en la mitad del recorrido. Así evitarás lesiones incluso sobre los hombros, causadas por la sobrecarga de una posición incorrecta. 2. Varía la dificultad sobre el Equilibrio. Recuerda que hacer este movimiento con las piernas separadas te proporciona facilidad de ejecución. Al mantener los pies y piernas unidos, todo el esfuerzo para mantenerte firme se irá a tu tren superior, por lo que tendrás que esforzarte más por mantenerte. Tratar de conservar el equilibrio te permitirá trabajar los dos hemisferios de tu cuerpo de forma exacta y te dará simetría. 3. Protege tus hombros. Ahora, para este fin, concéntrate en el ángulo axilar, que debe ser agudo, de aproximadamente 50° a 70° (tus codos apuntando ligeramente hacia atrás). Conservando esta norma, harás que la acción que ejercen los músculos de los hombros, principalmente el deltoides anterior, sea positiva y contrarreste la presión sobre el manguito rotador. Aplica estos tres consejos a la ejecución de tus Push-Ups. De esa manera serán más efectivos y seguros para tus articulaciones.
