Organic Pemberton Apple Sourdough Cinnamon Buns! 🍏 Thanks so much to @thehwycafe for picking us these delicious sweet, sour and floral organic apples from their home in a Pemberton. We roasted them in a little coconut fat to caramelize then added a little organic cane sugar and water. Then, we slowly cooked them for 3hrs until reduced and concentrated. Once cooled, we blended to a smooth purée and spread onto the prepared 18HR fermented sweet sourdough base which had been rolled and coated in a organic cinnamon/coconut fat paste first. We roll, portion and final proof for 2-3hrs before baking fresh every morning from 7am. Finished with a 100% pure organic Canadian maple reduction and dehydrated apple. Someone once told me that confidence is built on the experiences we’ve been through. I find that to be true. And that’s why I love photographs so much. Looking at them can bring lots of emotions, and can also give confidence. Sometimes, I also look at racing photos to get motivated, and it always gets me excited. This spring, I wrote a photo book of our adventures in cyclocross. The book mostly shows the behind the scenes stuff that is rarely talked about, and some stories I’ve never shared. I was looking through it today, and it got me really pumped to get back into the rhythm of racing, the « shit show » that is travelling (sometimes), and just the joy of being a part of the racing circuit. Over the past 5 weeks I havent shared any of my own content on this platform to make space for the Black Lives Matter movement. Ive been learning my own biases, taking time to better understand how deeply rooted the systemic racism is and how widespread the injustice. Im shocked by the amount of police brutality footage that has come to the forefront during these protests. I am baffled by the number of lies the US president spews to try and take away the legitimacy of the BLM movement - framing protestors are thugs, and threatening physical harm and violence to those who dont stop fighting for equality. That is not democracy, that is fascism. And I am saddened by how many racists are on my social media feeds, some of who were people I once considered acquaintances. It overwhelming, and its necessary to see. This is the reality for BIPOC. The injustices need to be seen. The idiocracy needs to be spotlighted. Pesepeda dilarang mengoperasikan perangkat elektronik seluler saat berkendara. 4. Pesepeda dilarang menggunakan payung saat berkendara. 5. Pesepeda dilarang berdampingan dengan kendaraan lain. 6. Pesepeda dilarang berkendara dengan berjajar lebih dari dua sepeda. Selain larangan-larangan di atas, pesepeda juga diimbau untuk menggunakan lampu dan alat pemantul cahaya demi keselamatan. For Pixy Liao @bloodypixy , a multidisciplinary Chinese artist, the idea of ‘relationship’ has always been an important part of her work. However, unlike the photography projects she started in 2007, where two individuals are closely connected, Liao took a different approach on defining the meaning of ⏱‘present.’ . “The image is a deconstruction of the word ‘present’… So I started to separate the word. To my surprise, when I do so, the word ‘present’ is so in line with our current digital age. It became ‘Present,’ ‘Press (Ent),’ and ‘Press End.’ It’s like the choices you can make when at present. @theorder Season 2 is out now on #Netflix! Congratulations to @jakemanley, @adamdimarco and the rest of the production. 🙌 I was lucky enough to shadow the director on episodes 7/8 of the show (something that won’t happen again in a covid world). I sat in on all kinds of pre-production meetings. Sometimes it was just me, the director and the show’s creator. I can’t say enough about the things I learned. Traveling to set with Jake every morning at 5AM and watching him in his element was a little dream come true for me.
