When I was packing to move up to Burlington this spring, I realized I had a couple extra UV filters around. I had always wanted to try modifying UV filters in a way to get cool effects, and this shoot with Charlie turned out to be the perfect opportunity. To get this dream-like blur effect, I rubbed Vaseline on the UV filter and then put it on the lens,. Wiping the Vaseline in different directions created different blurs and allowed for some creative and strategic positioning of where the in-focus parts of the image were. - @ben_m_collins on Instagram

Ладно, давайте про кудряшки😀 потому что все спрашивают) Начну с того, что я не знала, что у меня волнистые волосы 🤷🏻♀️ так бывает) но у меня совсееем чуть-чуть волнистые волосы, поэтому для меня кудрявый метод - развлечение, а не необходимость) ⠀ Что я делаю для такой укладки? (Способов может быть миллион, тут все очень индивидуально, кому как удобно, я просто расскажу про себя) 1. Про расчёску можно забыть в принципе 2. Когда иду мыть голову, сначала хорошо намачиваю волосы водой, наношу кондиционер на длину и аккуратно расчесываю пальцами волосы (пробовала сначала мыть шампунем, как обычно, потом наносить кондиционер, но во время прочесывания приходится иногда залазить слишком близко к корням, и потом ощущение, что голову я вообще не мыла😀🤦🏻♀️). 3. Дальше, после того как расчесала волосы, мою шампунем, как обычно 4. Затем наношу кондиционер, снова чуть-чуть прочесываю, держу пару минут, смываю 5. Наношу снова капельку кондиционера, распределяю по длине, и жмакаю волосы с водой 6. Затем наношу увлажняющий спрей и сыворотку для кудрей, снова жмакаю 7. Заворачиваю волосы в футболку (по-хорошему, нужно полотенце из микрофибры) так, чтобы они оставались в таком ‘скрученном’ состоянии (это все можно посмотреть на ютубе) 8. Хожу так минут 20, убираю футболку 9. И дальше волосы должны сами высохнуть, иногда я немного подсушиваю их феном, если тороплюсь (у меня нет диффузора, но, по-хорошему, лучше сушить с ним) 10. И на почти сухие волосы наношу иногда солевой спрей, а иногда не наношу 😁 ⠀ Единственное, чего я не понимаю, как сделать так, чтобы на второй день волосы тоже смотрелись нормально 😅 у меня после сна получается что попало) но я пока ещё ничего не смотрела/читала по этому поводу 🤗 ⠀ А ролики на ютубе смотрела у @curl.rocknroll - @mashamezrina on Instagram
✨COMING BACK FROM A LONG BREAK✨ I found tiny bruises sprinkled across my legs with no knowledge of their origin, noting how my outsides were beginning to match my insides. For 3 months, I was on the verge of tears, sobbing daily, usually on the floor as feelings poured out. Could I be the survivor of this storm inside of me? In the moment, I honestly didn’t know but I had weathered enough smaller storms to know that a breakdown always leads to a breakthrough if you are patient + kind enough with yourself. Springtime was filled to the brim with self-disappointment + failure. Through the fog, my first realization: I’ve felt guilty every day of my life. For reference: I’ve been alive for 11,171 days so that’s a lot of guilt + shame - like 10,000 expert hours of it. This began the very s l o w process of feeling my feelings - the struggles, the stories, the unhealed traumas. I had to stop intellectualizing, befriend my pain + even find the joy in it. If someone asked me what I was up to: everything + nothing. I was okay with not being okay + the following happened as I lived with it: all of my unworthiness eventually turned into forgiveness. I asked for help. I practiced asking for what I needed. 5 years & 10,000+ celebration moments later, I realized that at its core, @the_confetti_project is a mental health storytelling platform that uses thought-provoking questions and confetti as a healing tool for expressing what, why and how we celebrate. Its studio-less! For the first time. But still here to challenge the stigma of feelings, making a mess + how confetti can be used to feel, express and heal. This year, I’ve learned that in our most heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, uncertainty-filled moments, if we pause, check-in + are open to feeling, we will grow + notice that we’re never alone. This is my visual celebration story over the years - filled with all the emotions we have the ability to feel on the daily. While I won’t be taking confetti portraits in 2020, sign up’s are up for when that time arises. Five years ago I was convinced that I didn’t want children. I was perfectly content being a happy husband and having a lot of fur babies for the rest of time. I was very much ok with that, in fact, I preferred it. It was clear, children were not for me, and that was just the way it was. Then, something changed. Truthfully, I have no explanation. It was almost like a mindset change occurred overnight that I certainly did not approve to happen. I just remember one day I woke up and the thought of having a daughter wasn’t so bad anymore. If I am honest, it brought a big smile to my face. For someone who is a person of facts and loves to learn, this was an event in my life that I oddly did not want explained to me. I just knew something had changed and it was accepted as such. With this new mindset now came the discussions with Jessica of how to best prepare ourselves in the event we do in fact welcome a little girl into our lives. Then there was overcoming the biological obstacles placed in our way. There was a lot to overcome and work through. Like I always tell Jessica though: “we may lose a battle or two, but in the end, for 8 years and counting, in the end, the two of us always win.” This time, we won big. On April 6th, 2020, Emmeline came into our lives. “Baby G.O.A.T.” as I sometimes like to call her, has been everything I (we) could have ever asked for. She is perfect. Our little team added a new player to the roster and she could not be a better fit. I have learned over the course of time that life throws you the occasional curveball. Sometimes it can be explained, other times it cannot. Whenever it does, I think it’s best to simply follow the path and see where it takes you. It may not be easy, but you stand to learn a lot about yourself along the way. The payoff might also be quite breathtaking when it’s all said and done. - @crittysmith on Instagram

Hi friends! I took some time away from being active on the internet, but Im back babbbbby. ✨ There are a lot more of you following me these days and though I cant be certain that this will matter much to most of you, I think it might matter to some and for that reason I want to share a bit about what Ive been going through. Ive been in a really rough place. My motivation to work, to create and to honestly just live was all but wiped out. I hit a bottom I havent seen in years. I suffered a PTSD flashback that sent my mental health and my depression spiraling into a dark place I didnt care to leave. I wanted to just give up. Now, my point of sharing this isnt to get any kind of sympathy but really to say that, things are really fucking tough man and a lot of people are having a really hard time right now, so please be kind. Were approaching suicide awareness week and during these incredibly tumultuous times, people are fighting a lot of invisible battles. Trauma, depression, poor mental health, it can feel really isolating. Check in with yourself and with your friends, remind them that they are supported and loved. I have been told by past friends and ex-partners that I come with too much baggage, that being my friend is too difficult, that I am too inconvenient, and that I am, well, too much. There are a lot of voices in my head that like to tell me they were right. But I am not too much, I have *been through* too much. Im very grateful to have found an incredible support system of people who understand me, who will help me crawl out of any rock bottom hole and who make even the darkest days of 2020 a hell of a lot brighter. So if youre looking for a sign that you are not a burden, that your pain is real, that your experiences are valid, that you are not alone, I hope this allows you to feel seen and heard. Ask for help, ask again, ask as many times as it takes. And if people are dismissive of your feelings and want to leave, let them. Prioritize your mental health and surround yourself with people who make the bad days better. My DMs are always open if you need a friend. We all deserve more good days. 💕 - @yung.planet on Instagram
