STAY HOME時間を体験して、新たに気づいたこと、発見したことは何ですか？ 世界中で同じ問題が起きている状況の中で、世界各国の対応の違いは、政権のトップだけでなく民度の違いでもあるんだなーと、今までの自分の行動も含め痛感しています。 こんなすごい変革の時代に生きているということは不安もMAXですが、不謹慎かもしれませんがドキドキもしています。これは最近感じることができていなかったのですが、ダンスフロアで体験をしてきた、時代が変わる瞬間に立ち会うことにも似ている気がします。自分の健康状態によっては生死もあり得るから変なアドレナリンが出ているのかもしれません。そして、もしかしたらまたゼロからやり直さなくてはいけないかも……という不安や悲しみさえも、自分が生きているからこそ感じられることなんだろうなと。だから「今日がもしかしたら最後の1日かもしれない」と思って楽しんで頑張りまーす。 03. STAY HOME期間に聴いた音楽、DJ MIX、観た映画、映像、読んだ本など、おすすめを教えてください。 1. 「Queer Eye」（Netflixリアリティ番組） 出演：Fab Five 言わずと知れたNetflixの人気シリーズだったやつです。特に3月後半からのまだ初期コロナ禍で心がとっても不安だったとき、人が簡単に殺されてしまうサスペンス系シリーズ物も見れなくなってしまい、またこれを再度見直していました。その人の心をケアする励ましや、アドバイス、美しくなることで自信を持ち人生が上向く様子を見直して自分も励まされてました。 2. 「きまぐれ遊歩道」（本） 著者：星 新一 学生時代に読んで以来なのですが、うちの本棚にあったので読み直し中です。長編が苦手な私にはぴったりの、短くて面白い雑学や、ちょっとした話が詰まっています。テレビをなるべく見ないでこういうのを読んでると気分いいですね。 3. 「Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, along with Jason Bonham, playing Stairway to Heaven as a tribute for Led Zeppelin on Dec. 2, 2012 at Kennedy Center.」（映像） アーティスト：Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart レッド・ゼッペリンのトリビュートイベントの時にアンとナンシーというハートというバンドの2人が「Staiway To Heaven」を演奏するYouTubeなんですが、見直していたら大感動です。素晴らしい！ ハートは10代の時に知ってレコードを買っいてたバンドなのですが、その頃の自分のチョイスにも合格点をあげたい。この映像に出てくる人たちも凄いのですが、音楽の文化がどれほど人類に意味があるのか？ を数分で感じられる作品だと思います。 ▷INFO&MESSAGE ダンスクラブが安全に再開できる日を待ち望んでいます。みんなとまた一緒の時間を過ごせる日までがんばりましょう！ - @mixmagjapan on Instagram

This week, a shipment showed up at @crookedbeatrecords with all the records that hadn’t shown up on Record Store Day, including this one: Various Artists, ‘Sunrise On The Blues’. 🌞 Sun Records is best remembered for mid/late 50s rock and roll artists like Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis, but before the rise of rock and roll, Sun Studios made its name recording blues artists. And what artists! Many of the greats, including Howlin’ Wolf, James Cotton, and Earl Hooker (all of whom appear on this album,) recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis before continuing north to Chicago. 🌞 Every song on this compilation is a delight to listen to, and as a whole, it shows what an amazing variety of creative directions musicians were taking with the blues in 1950s Memphis. The album opens with Howlin’ Wolf’s joyful take on big band classic “In The Mood”, and goes on to feature one-man bands Joe Hill Louis and Dr. Ross the Harmonica Boss, early R&B from Johnny Adams, harmony singing from the Prisonaires, country blues from old-timer Sleepy John Estes, and piano blues by Rosco Gordon, the godfather of ska who never set foot in Jamaica. The stylistic diversity on this compilation is just amazing. It would be a great beginner blues compilation, as well as a great addition to an aficionado’s shelves. Mas me encanta sempre reouvir esse Blue Train, de 1957, tido por muitos como o primeiro álbum solo de John Coltrane. Gravado com um timaço que tem Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew e a “cozinha” monumental de Paul Chambers e Philly Joe Jones, o disco fluí deliciosamente. O solo de trompete de Lee Morgan em Moment’s Notice mostra que ele poderia ter sido tão grande e influente quanto Miles. Mas Morgan, que tinha apenas 20 anos quando gravou com Trane, tretou demais em várias ocasiões da sua curta vida e acabou morto aos 33 anos pela própria mulher com um tiro no coração numa discussão entre eles no intervalo de uma gig em um clube de Nova York.
