Being socially connected to others may very well be a fountain of youth and health thatโs being suppressed by a toxic โgrind cultureโ that results in toxic work habits, and not necessarily much more success. โGrindingโ 24/7 doesnโt even necessarily guarantee any type of success, and certainly denotes in when it comes to optimal health. Isnโt the point of being successful in life to achieve a certain level of happiness and fulfillment anyways? Isnโt that the deepest reason behind anything we do? When you give attention to those who matter, your life will become MORE meaningful, your hours spent working will be more productive and the work you do accomplish will be more fulfilled. As the saying goes (and will keep taunting you for the rest of your life), everything in moderation. Itโs okay to prioritize things that you need or want to get done sometimes, even if it means hitting the gym before a social gathering or eating something different than others when you spend time with loved ones. No matter your fitness goals, itโs NOT okay or healthy to neglect the people in your life. They are more important and deserve better. You deserve better. Itโs okay to have fun.
