I AM HAND SEWING A GARMENT! Can you even? look at those hand stitches?! These hands did that! 🙌🏻 If you had told me that someday I would not only make my own clothes but also do it BY HAND, I would have laughed in your face. I’ve so admired people who hand-stitch but thought it was way too hard and required a patience I don’t have ( you’ll notice I’m not a knitter!). But, With a little (ok, a lot) of help from @therealalexisbailey and her smashingly amazing new venture @thimbleandsnip I discovered that I not only CAN hand-sew but I LOVE IT. ❤️. It’s so relaxing. Pensando o Japão é um canal do YouTube de ensino da língua e cultura japonesa pelo professor Rafael Maury. O briefing pedia que a identidade visual trouxesse uma proposta ligada ao estilo wabi-sabi (侘寂), que é uma visão de mundo à japonesa, uma abordagem estética centrada na aceitação da transitoriedade e imperfeição. Essa concepção estética é muitas vezes descrita como a do belo que é “imperfeito, impermanente e incompleto”. As características estéticas do wabi-sabi incluem assimetria, aspereza (rugosidade ou irregularidade), a simplicidade, a economia, a austeridade, a modéstia, a intimidade e a valorização da integridade ingênua de objetos e processos naturais. 6 meses usando el tapaboca y no me acostumbro del todo. Los primeros días me sentía hasta ridículo usándolo, ya hoy siento que es una prenda tan normal como el pantalón o la camisa... Estamos claros que la ventaja más importante de usar el tapaboca es que nos ayuda a prevenir el contagio del COVID. Pero además tiene otras. #FacultyFriday with Jackie Weigel, our lower school art teacher! Mrs. Weigel first joined the Covenant Day community as a parent when daughters Katie, 09, and Mackenzie 11 were in 2nd-grade and Kindergarten. It wasnt long before Mrs. Weigel teamed up with four other moms planning, writing, editing, producing, and performing lower school chapel. The goal was to create lessons based on the meanings of Gods names, his character, and how we are to follow, and Kingdom Character was born. By Gods grace, Kingdom Character chapels continue to this day and are a beloved part of the lower school curriculum! Through the years, Mrs. Weigel has touched the school in many ways. Along with the same group of moms that began Kingdom Character, she helped establish Covenant Days annual Community Heroes Chapel and Mission Week. In addition to this, Mrs. Weigel coached for thirteen years. First as a middle school cheerleading coach and later as the varsity cheerleading coach. Seven members of the varsity co-ed cheerleading team she helped form and coach went on to cheer for Division 1 schools! Most recently, Mrs. Weigel served on the Christian Schools International Accreditation Team for Covenant Day. But, it was when God opened the door for Mrs. Weigel to teach art 14 years ago that she realized she had found her true calling. When asked what makes the Covenant Day community unique, Mrs. Weigel said, That we agree we are a messy, imperfect family desiring to live for the One who is not. In her spare time, Mrs. Weigel enjoys dinner (cooked by her husband!) and long walks where she can take pictures of creation as God reveals his handiwork. If you know Mrs. Weigel, then you know her motto, If its good, its God! permeates all she does, and we are thankful to have her as part of our community! This picture represents so many things to me. First, let me say its super dope and it got my good side. In this business you have to be able to help people and love what you do! We had a seller appointment that had three other investors to compete against (that we knew of); someone was literally yelling through the screen door that they would offer 5K more than our offer. However, the buyer still chose to do business with us and we had so much fun with it, we even brought alcohol to the appointment (funny story).The best part of all is that we solved a problem and did it with a smile. Its crazy that when you keep pushing forward even when you feel like you are being pulled in every direction that you really see things for what they are and can create the best version of yourself. Consistency, surrounding yourself with those that genuinely care about you, and letting your true self shine can make all the difference. I am a testament of this. I still have so much room to grow as a man, father, husband, and in this business. Elas atuam como barreiras físicas, reduzindo a propagação do vírus e, consequentemente, a exposição e o risco de infecções. Atentos à necessidade de incentivar o uso deste acessório tão importante e impulsionar a fabricação destas peças, a PlastDerm Clínica, sob a direção do cirurgião plástico Hedelberto Gonçalves e pela dermatologista Maysa de Paula Gonçalves está realizando um projeto para doação de máscaras de pano para clientes, funcionários da clínica e de outros estabelecimentos do prédio e também para bairros mais carentes. “As máscaras inicialmente foram doadas por uma tia, que tem uma oficina de costura em Ipanema e, a partir daí, surgiu a ideia de contactar empresas parceiras para arrecadação de máscaras. What can I say, overwhelmed is a start. I feel so grateful to see my 777 talent shining in their own unique and beautiful way and did not expect one bit to be seeing them all around the world shining bright! Here’s a bit about myself. My journey began as a boy born in East London and I grew up in Essex. I experienced a lot of discrimination because of my personal beliefs and differences. Before my journey started as a model I was the kid that was labelled as the ugly/not cool kid and experienced a lot of hatred because I was different to everyone else. I begin to hate myself because of this and wanted to be ‘normal’. I used to get picked on for moles I had on my face and on several occasions attempted to cut them out of my face with razors because I thought they were ugly. I used to avoid looking in mirrors. But God opened a modelling career for me despite my insecurities and the opinions of others. I embarked on a modelling career that lasted 7 years which saved my life. I haven’t really shared this to many people. I prematurely ended my career because I had a completely different vision and no longer wanted to be represented by people that didn’t have my best interests at heart. I started 777 because I understand the pressures of society, there’s a wrong perception on beauty. Everyday I have the opportunity to be apart of the lives of people from all backgrounds, faiths and walks of life. My aim has always been to create a safe and loving environment for my talent where they can grow without limitations, pressures and expectations of people that don’t understand their journey. I’m very aware of the responsibility that comes with this and want to express my gratitude to my talent and staff who have put their trust in me. I wanted to share a few of many moments that are very special to me so far on this journey. Never try and fit in. Because your differences make you beautiful. We are proud and honored of representing Indonesia to return again after the last participation in 2010 competing in the most meticulous culinary competition in the world, Bocuse d’Or. Founded by the late and legendary French master chef Paul Bocuse in 1987, this biennial competition takes 24 teams to go through the grand finale which always takes place in Lyon, France. I will be participating in the competition alongside with young talent Nugraha Luthfi as commis and soon will have intensive 3 months of training and preparation guided and supported by a panel of high profile chefs (head coach) and experts (advisor and designers) in Indonesia before we travel to Lyon in January 2021. In this competition hard work, strong mentality, creativity, focus and team work are very decisive factors to execute very fine cuisine.
