Arm Training * * Genetics aside, there are some key points which I see a lot of people missing out in the gym when they are training arms. Some key points which will make a big difference below * * 1. Elbow positioning when curling * * When the arms are too far forward this instantly places tension on the anterior deltoids taking tension away from the biceps. To create more focused on the biceps keep your elbows back and tucked to your sides. Youll notice the difference immediately, however you are going to have to force yourself into a new mechanical positions with your elbow/arm placement. Your brain and body will try to go back into bad habits, so keep mentally aware and keep this in mind * * 2. Lack of external rotation * * When curling with dumbbells a lot of people miss the external rotation. I see a LOT of great athletes with great arm development using bad form, or should I say inefficient form. It’s extremely important you force that rotation and spinate your wrist asap when curling up, and try to hold that position as long as possible on the full negative phase of each rep. This alone will force a far greater area of bicep activation * * 3. Range of motion * * Video yourself doing all type’s of curl and ask yourself if you are really using a full enough range of motion!? All too often I see people using at best, 70-80% range of motion. This just isnt good enough. You want to see nearly full extension of the arm, you will stimulate more bicep activation. However don’t over extension your elbow and always be in complete control of the negative phase of each and every rep * * 4. Lack of stability * * When training triceps with pushdown exercises its essential that you maintain stability within your shoulder joint and elbow joint. The only movement you want/need is through your elbow, working as a hinge. There shouldnt be any sort of momentum or rocking, as soon as this occurs you are losing tension from the triceps. I’m not saying you should be so ridged that your lose a following movement pattern, but you do need to extract as much forced and load onto your triceps at all times * * - @y3tworld on Instagram

Scoliosis is a condition that can affect us in a lot more ways than we think.
