There were many great female racing drivers pre-war, but few have as remarkable story as Hellé Nice. Born in 1900 in a tiny provincial French village, at only 16 she worked as a nude model for artist René Carrère, before becoming a dancer, performing at cabarets around Europe. Whilst her dancing career was cut short due to a skiing accident whilst trying to evade an avalanche, it resulted in her entering motorsport. Through her friendship with Philippe de Rothschild, she was introduced to Ettore Bugatti, which lead to her racing a Bugatti Type 35C in a number of Grand Prix in France and also at Monza. Whilst she never won a Grand Prix race, she competed against some of the greatest drivers of the period often with solid results, and was the only female entrant on the Grand Prix circuit at the time. Sadly in 1936 she had an awful accident at the São Paulo Grand Prix whilst in 3rd position, which resulted in the death of 6 spectators and with Hellé assumed to be dead. Remarkably after 3 days in a coma she awoke and two months later was discharged from the hospital. Despite her accident she got back behind the wheel though post war, in 1949 fellow driver Louis Chiron accused her of collaborating with the Nazis, which whilst there was a lack of definitive evidence, left her reputation in tatters and effectively ended her racing career. Run Aydin, run! So much goes on behind the scenes until client chooses that one shot they like. But most people only see the final photo/image/video and think that’s all a model does. Stand in a spot and get paid millions. Now I’m not saying modeling is the hardest job in the world, not at all. I can name 1000’s of jobs harder. What I’m saying is that it’s not what people think it is. It’s definitely a job that just anyone can do. And I don’t mean it physically because of someone’s body shape or looks. Not at all. I mean it mentally. The amount of times you get rejected at auditions/castings until you get a job can have serious negative effects on the models self esteem and confidence if they are naturally insecure. If you take rejection personally, then modeling can severely damage you mentally. But when you do it professionally and understand how things work and what the process is, then there aren’t that many jobs in the world that can feel as easy and fun. Nesse momento temos que ter EMPATIA, entendo se colocando no lugar da noiva e oferecendo CARINHO. ⚜️Devemos estar pontualmente à espera da noiva para que ela fique tranquila e assim evite atrasos e estresse para elas, isso eu chamo de RESPEITO. ⚜️Já houve situação onde a noiva que não tinha o hábito de se hospedar em hotéis, ao chegar no hotel no dia do casamento para a produção e não sabia usar a chave/cartão para abrir a porta do quarto, além de não saber acionar a energia e ligar para a recepção para solicitar uma alimentação. Ajudá-la a resolver essas pequenas questões SEM JULGAMENTOS é algo que transcende e vai além de ser meros profissionais com pincéis e paletas nas mãos. Pra mim isso é ser simplesmente PRESTATIVO. ⚜️Ter conhecido técnico também é importante. Investir em cursos bons onde você escolhe a melhor instituição de ensino ou o profissional experiente para você aprender corretamente além de escolher os melhores produtos sem se prender a preço. Isso eu chamo de QUALIDADE. É querer o melhor para sua noiva. O investimento eu sei, não é baixo. ⚜️O bom humor para levar esse dia especial é muito importante. In 2012 I watched a video on YouTube that had me stunned. A car that was competing at PPIHC had went off course in Devil’s Playground and rolled about a dozen times. Luckily the two drivers survived because they were using the right safety equipment including RECARO seats. If those seats had failed them they wouldn’t be here today. The roll cage took some of the harshest hits I’d ever seen. Two guys, a couple of cameras and myself flew to Texas, saw the car and got their story. In 2013 I followed up on that story in hopes for their success and went to Pikes Peak. Since 2012, copilots/navigators are no longer allowed so the driver had to face the mountain alone and unfortunately blew his engine within the first half of the course. TRIBUTE TO THE LATE FIELD RANGER RESPECT MATHEBULA It was with deep sadness that the Chief Executive Officer, Fundisile Mketeni learned of the passing away of Field Ranger, Respect Mathebula on Thursday, 19 July 2018. Respect was based at Crocodile Bridge Section and passed away in an incident which involved a shoot-out between rangers and suspected poachers. Respect joined SANParks in February 2015 as Field Ranger at Shangoni Ranger Section. In July 2016, he moved to Crocodile Bridge Section in the same position and worked there until he passed away. “Very few people have the courage and necessary skills to perform this important task other than Rangers, in which Respect was and will forever be part of. Etlela hi kurhula Respect – May your soul rest in peace. You upheld the Ranger values and flew the SANParks flag high with honour. We are poorer with your absence but will continue where you left off”. Respect leaves behind his wife, Wisdom Ndlovu, their four children, five brothers, two sisters and all other family members. If you let those traumas fester, it can lead to ✖️Night terrors/insomnia. ✖️Anxiety and/or depression. ✖️Extreme startle reflex. ✖️Withdrawing from social situations. ✖️Anger, rage, or mood swings. ✖️Feelings of being numb or disconnected. ✖️Aches and pains. While the 72nd Annual Emmy Awards, a celebration of television’s greatest talents, did take place on Sunday, Sept. 20, at a mostly empty Staples Center in Los Angeles, the show was vastly different than in years past. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, there was no live red-carpet experience, meaning there weren’t any interviewers, TV personalities, or stars at the awards show site itself. Vou falar hoje pra vcs sobre algo que me incomoda e é a primeira coisa que reparo involuntariamente, sim é o SORRISO. Ao longo dos meus 39 anos sempre me cuidei de normal com minha higiene bucal, nada loucamente fora dos padrões, mas algo que me dá orgulho são meus dentes, por não ter tido uma cárie e tão menos uma obturação. Nestes anos meus dentes inferiores começaram a me incomodar por estarem entortando, rejeitava o aparelho pq quase todos os profissionais falavam que eu provavelmente teria que tirar um dente para correção, isto me desanimava, portanto, não colocava o aparelho. Então minha amiga Janaína Valentim falou pra mim: vai no meu professor, tenho certeza que vc não vai sair de lá sem aparelho! E aí então fui ao encontro do meu AMIGO Léo Alcântara IONF Campos RJ e assim saí. Meu tratamento está em 2 anos, porém como não consigo ir com a frequência mensal que preciso o meu tratamento está no final já, mas em pouco mais de 1 ano eu já estaria sem ele. Lá não tem enrolação e tão pouco mentira com os pacientes assistidos. Seriedade, competência e responsabilidade são os lemas dessa grande empresa.
