It is with sadness that we announce the home-going of our art teacher, Mrs. Rebecca Robinson-Bailey. She joined the academy staff in 2005 as the junior high art teacher. The following year she added elementary art to her schedule. Through the years, she helped our students discover and develop their artistic gifts and use those gifts to glorify God. She was kindhearted and encouraging, always bringing out the best in her students. She designed the original BCA Bulldog logo, painted the school mural on the brick wall, and directed the Junior High Art Class in creating backdrops for BCA musicals, as well as posters for fundraisers and activities. In recent years she assisted Mrs. Marriott-Nguyen with the annual BCA-ACSI Art Festival. She was also dedicated to volunteering her time with Operation Christmas Child and the United States Naval Sea Cadet Program. On August 3, Mrs. Robinson-Bailey passed into the presence of the Lord after a brief battle with cancer. Though we mourn her here on earth, we rejoice that she is fully healed and living in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please join us as we pray for her husband Scott, daughter Treasure, sons Nathaniel and Joel, her mom Pamela, daughter-in-law Nalleli, grandson Roy, and the rest of her family, friends, and students. If you would like to send a card or note to the family, you can drop it by or mail it to the BCA office and we will make sure it gets to them. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that Operation Christmas Child boxes be made in her memory, as that was near and dear to Rebeccas heart. Salut à toi qui passe sur mon insta 🤓 Petite présentation pour ceux qui ne me connaissent pas ou pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas mon parcours 💪 (Faut défiler le carrousel les gars et la première photo de lhistoire, cest la deuxième 😂 jespère que tu as compris mdr) BREF, ancien sportif de haut niveau en football américain, cest à Amiens que jai poussé mes premières barres de fonte ! Autant te dire quon était sur du 80 kilos en max au développé couché 😂😂😂🙄 sauf @sleemback Cétait une machine 😏😂😂 Cest ce qui ma permis de découvrir le body, de faire ensuite de la compétition et de devenir coach sportif. Après 4 compétions, jai préféré arrêté car ne soyons pas crédule, réussir dans le millieu du fitness (en compétition) sans chimie, cela reste extrêmement compliqué voir impossible. Entre le body et maintenant, il sen ai passé des choses .. des hauts et des bas .. beaucoup de bas, dont une hospitalisation durgence pendant 8 jours en soins continus.. Cest lélément déclencheur qui a fait que jen suis là aujourdhui.. à + 25 kilos ..😱😱😑🤦 Jaurais pu remonter la pente après lhospitalisation mais non ... jai préféré me laisser couler ! Dans tout ça, jai pû découvrir le crossfit qui ma énormément rappeler la prépa du foot us ..autant te dire que jai kiffé dès le premier wod 😂🙄 Alors aujourdhui, jai décidé de me lancer un gros défi et qui va changer ma vie (je lespère) : passer le concours pompier pro et devenir pompier pro 👨🚒😍) Pour cela, je dois perdre 25 kilos et jai @alizeer_ qui va maider à devenir la meilleure version de moi même 💪 (Dailleurs si tu veux aller check son insta pour un coaching 🤓) La dernière photo cest juste histoire de dire .. mais tu verras létat actuel quand jaurais perdu mes 25 kilos 😂😂😂🙄 BON POUR FINIR, mon insta va être dédier à ma perte de poids et à la préparation du concours de pompier pro 🤞💪👨🚒 Si tu es arrivé jusque là, cest que tu me soutiens et je ten remercie 🙏🙏🙏 À très vite 😁😁😁 - @francoisjudic on Instagram

This is what my training looks like these days... Im ALWAYS training. Every time I eat is an opportunity to train the peace I want with food. Every time I workout is an opportunity to train the love I want for the gym. Every minute of everyday is an opportunity to train myself into the person I wish to become. Get it? I was once like you. I thought: Once I found the right diet, then food would be easy. Once I found the right workout program, then Id love the gym. Once I had the body, then Id be happy. Once I was the best at something, then Id feel worthy. Talk about a recipe for disaster, and a life of pain and frustration.😬🔫 The way you FEEL on a daily basis is a pattern. Its been trained in the nervous system. And that pattern is what drives the actions you take and dont take. A diet may tell you WHAT to eat, but it doesnt actually GET you to eat that way because it doesnt change your PATTERNS on the inside. Feelings of fear, anxiety, frustration, etc will drive you to eat the shit foods, hate the gym and prevent the body from burning fat because a stressed body doesnt burn fat. My main pattern is anxiety. I picked it up from my childhood as my mom and family were very anxious people. As soon as I start to feel anxious, I turn to food. Its programmed in me and no diet or workout program in the world will change that for me. To change the pattern, I had to RE-TRAIN it. Im constantly training myself to spend less time in the anxiety, fear, & frustration and spend more time in the states Id like to know: calm, peace, love, joy, etc. When I feel peace and calm, food is never an issue. When I feel love, motivation for the gym is never an issue. The work is done inside, not outside of you. This is why I have my clients follow an Inner Training plan, just as much as a food and workout plan. When you train yourself to feel peace with food and love for the gym, having the body you want is easy. If youre tired of working harder and getting nowhere, and would like to not spend the rest of your life in frustration, comment below with ME. Trauma is the result of an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds ones ability to cope with the emotions involved with that experience. Can be acute trauma meaning a disastrous event that just occurred, or something you’ve held onto for years and now it’s affecting your physical health. It can even be passed down for generations as we see so frequently on our emotional scans from @rootcauseclinic Yes you can hold stored emotional energy from your family. We all experience trauma and we all handle it differently. To maintain optimal health you need to work on the physical symptoms you’re experiencing, and the emotional traumas you’ve been pushing aside. In a study done on the effects of emotional trauma on physical health it was found that for men, trauma history was associated with arthritis and diabetes, and for women trauma was associated with digestive diseases and cancer. . If you let those traumas fester, it can lead to ✖️Night terrors/insomnia. ✖️Anxiety and/or depression. ✖️Extreme startle reflex. ✖️Withdrawing from social situations. ✖️Anger, rage, or mood swings. ✖️Feelings of being numb or disconnected. ✖️Aches and pains. Arthritis. ✖️Chronic health conditions, such as autoimmune or cardiovascular disease, Lyme disease, parasites, heavy viral load, diabetes, and cancer. . How do you release emotional trauma? 🔹Start with admitting you have some emotional traumas to work through. Denial will never work. 🔹Seek professional help to assist you with getting to that root cause of why you have them. 🔹Doing kundalini breath work can help. It is said that space in the lower abdomen, energetically, is the harbor for our insecure thoughts and old traumas to swim in circles, sometimes for decades. 🔹Talking to a friend, or someone you trust will help you rid them by bringing them to light. 🔹Be gentle on yourself. It’s ok to not be okay all the time. 🔹Daily meditation rituals can help ease tension to regulate your dopamine and serotonin levels. 🔹Walk! I want to take a moment to publicly thank everyone who continues to follow Madelines journey. I have heard parents complain that when a child passes people often leave their page. It makes sense as I know first hand it is difficult to follow someone elses grief. Its so scary and if a click of a button can remove you from the reality it doesnt seem strange to me at all that many would choose to unfollow. Anyway, seeing that that hasnt happened and that you are all still listening is heartwarming. ❤️ It really is. So thank you. And I know Madeline would also thank you for continuing to support us- thats all she was worried about. Today I was really struggling. Its ok. This is normal. Its been 78 days since I last kissed this beautiful face. Our entire family is in grief counseling/therapy and proud of the fact that we are taking care of ourselves, functioning and somehow, in some way, managing our pain. If there is ever a way we can honor Madeline it is to do just this. I promised her we would be ok and we are working SO hard to make every day the best we can- obviously you all know where we learned that skill. While 78 days certainly doesnt make me an expert in child loss I have learned that you never want to be told to move on. Madeline grew in my body. We created her and we grew together as a family and an emotionally healthy parent or sibling will never ever move on. We will, of course, as life works, continue to wake up each day and smile and do our best to be good people and impact the world as best we can like Madeline taught us. But we dont want to move on. It is impossible for a mother and child to break their bond- even through death. She will always be with me. And thats exactly how I want it. I completely understand the thought process behind telling someone to let go or move forward but I believe our children are given to us for a reason and that Madelines work here on earth is not done as long as I continue to stay connected to her spirit and continue to spread her gift. All I know is that you cant be blessed with a Madeline Grace Guarraia and ever move on from her. We are lucky to have loved her so much. - @prayers.for.madeline on Instagram

Much has been said about this great icon of mma and the world of sports. He is definitely one of the greatest in the octogon but I think that it was his personality, demeanor, dedication to the martial arts and his professionalism that lifted both himself and the UFC to the level they are today. For his last fight UFC 217, he, along with other fighters that needed to be photographed for that event and other events that were soon thereafter, were brought in for a special photo shoot to get specific looks and images that were required for the artwork for those events. This was before the athletes would have been in training camp and its always a crap shoot as to if the athletes will be in shape to be photographed. Athletes are flown in the day before, given their schedule for the following day, and expected to follow that schedule. GSP gets in late the night before and were told that he has a severe cold, bronchitis, and hes scheduled first up at 9am in the morning. We suggest moving him to later but he decides to keep his scheduled time. 9am he shows up, looks great even though he hasnt fought in years, completely picture ready even though he hasnt started his fight camp yet, doesnt even mention being sick and not once complained about all the things we were asking him to do given that he hadnt been photographed for a long time. This is a guy that is one of the greatest and his professionalism that day was unparalleled and should be what others strive for. In contrast there were other fighters that day who completely disregarded the schedule so when they turned up, if they turned up at all, they had to wait or make others wait who came at their scheduled time which in turn compromised our time and what we were able to get from the fighters. A couple were so out of shape that they either refused to be photographed without their jersey or the images were barely useful. Society teaches us to express gratitude to so many different things, but fails to remind us to express gratitude to ourselves. . I hear people say “Don’t take anything for granted,” and to “count your blessings” but very rarely do I hear anyone talk about how much gratitude we give away to others, without taking our cut. We fail to be grateful to ourselves for caring for sick loved ones and give all of the gratitude to doctor’s and whatever higher power we believe in. We often give thanks to others instead of ourselves for awards and accomplishments. It perpetuates a negative self image. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be grateful to others, but being grateful to others and failing to express gratitude to yourself – is NOT the road to happiness. . Sitting here in my hometown, visiting relatives before we pack up the camper and head west, has me so grateful. The longer I’m here, the more grateful I am. When I’ve had bowel blockages in the past, or when Olivia’s “fallen asleep” for long periods of time, I’ve had NG tubes placed to decompress my stomach. Having my tube placed was not a comfortable time BUT, having AMAZING NURSES (you know who you are) makes the experience so much better. After one of my surgeries, I pulled my NG out in my sleep; I called my nurse and he was so calm about it all. He ended up dancing and cheering me on as he was placing the NG (if you read this, thank you… I needed that laugh). If you’re getting your first NG tube, this is a general idea of how they are placed. Hopefully, this makes it way less intimidating for you: * Your nurse will come in with a bunch of supplies (don’t worry, it looks scarier than it is). * The NG tube will be measured from your nose to the sternum, this makes sure that it gets placed in the right area. * I’ve always been sitting upright for my tube placements, my nurses have me sip water during the procedure; this helps the placement be more comfortable for the patient. * The nurses will ask you to bend your head forward while 2/3 inches are inserted; once that happens, you will look towards the ceiling while still sipping your water. * Your NG will be taped to your face (I prefer band-aids) and then you will have a chest X-Ray to make sure it’s in the correct spot. Here are my tips for coping with an NG: * Get your nurse to put your NG in the freezer before they place it, it makes it hurt less! * Don’t be embarrassed about your tube! Having something physically attached to your face can 100% make you self-conscious, but you deserve to feel beautiful as you are. I would do my hair every day and wear my own jammies; this made me 10x more comfortable & confident about my tube. * Hard candies, cure dry mouth I hope this helps! I remember the moment the doctor told me I had breast cancer I still remember his face perfectly like it just happened, it is burned into my brain. . . Breast cancer? Me? At 31? DER GÖßTE FEHLER BEIM ABNEHMEN Hey Sportsfreunde, ich hab immer mal wieder darüber nachgedacht was wohl der größte Fehler war, den ich beim Abnehmen gemacht habe und ich bin mir sehr sicher dass es das „zu schnell zu viel wollen“ ist. . Damit bin ich mehrfach so richtig auf die Schnauze gefallen, denn es hat mich immer in einen Teufelskreis manövriert. Hoch motiviert mit 2000 kcal am Tag gestartet, an trainingsfreien Tagen natürlich noch weniger und zu essen gab es natürlich nur „cleanes Food“, keine Ausnahmen, denn jetzt wird voll durchgezogen. Hat dann auch zwei Wochen geklappt, um dann in die erste Fressattacke zu verfallen. Danach habe ich mich dann natürlich schlecht gefühlt aber hey esse ich halt zwei Tage nur 1000 kcal und dann passt das schon. Dass das völliger Mist ist, ist mir heute klar, denn geschafft habe ich es nie an diesen Tagen nur 1000 kcal zu essen. Der Frust wurde also größer und was habe ich gemacht wenn ich frustriert war? Genau, gefressen! Wenn es richtig „gut“ lief auch mal drei Tage am Stück und Zack war alles an Gewicht wieder drauf oder ich war sogar schwerer als vorher. Da war die Frustration dann auf dem Höhepunkt und man hat das Kapitel Diät mal wieder ad Acta gelegt um sich weiter rund zu futtern. . Man darf einfach nicht erwarten, dass man die Kilos die man sich über Jahre angefressen hat, in 10 Wochen wieder los wird. Deswegen unbedingt langfristig denken und die Ernährungsform finden, die euch eine dauerhafte Ernährungsumstellung ermöglicht. Macht euch nicht verrückt, genießt euer Leben, verbietet euch nicht alles und macht keine Raketenwissenschaft aus dem Abnehmen. . Empathy is often studied as it relates to humans. However, there is an increasing interest in its relationship, development and impact with non‐human animals. This interest is often driven by a curiosity in empathys role as an internal motivator for pro‐environmental actions. Recent evidence as well as historical data suggests that empathy towards others can influence the likelihood of pro‐environmental behaviors as they relate to individual animals and potentially their larger communities or species. A hot zone for empathy development; zoos, aquariums, museums, sanctuaries, shelters, nature centers, and other informal environmental education organizations invested in animal conservation are challenged to understand, mitigate or capitalize on the empathy development already occurring in their institutions. These organizations provide opportunities for people to develop close relationships with individual animals, a critical step in the development of empathy. Their ability to facilitate hundreds of up‐close interactions between humans and animals daily establishes these organizations as important venues for the exploration of empathy towards animals and its potential impact on promoting pro‐environmental behavior. We are so honored to present this opportunity through our Education and Outreach programs as well as through our new Nature Center. Ao longo dos meus 39 anos sempre me cuidei de normal com minha higiene bucal, nada loucamente fora dos padrões, mas algo que me dá orgulho são meus dentes, por não ter tido uma cárie e tão menos uma obturação. Nestes anos meus dentes inferiores começaram a me incomodar por estarem entortando, rejeitava o aparelho pq quase todos os profissionais falavam que eu provavelmente teria que tirar um dente para correção, isto me desanimava, portanto, não colocava o aparelho. Então minha amiga Janaína Valentim falou pra mim: vai no meu professor, tenho certeza que vc não vai sair de lá sem aparelho! E aí então fui ao encontro do meu AMIGO Léo Alcântara IONF Campos RJ e assim saí. Meu tratamento está em 2 anos, porém como não consigo ir com a frequência mensal que preciso o meu tratamento está no final já, mas em pouco mais de 1 ano eu já estaria sem ele. Lá não tem enrolação e tão pouco mentira com os pacientes assistidos. Seriedade, competência e responsabilidade são os lemas dessa grande empresa.
