Crostata ai frutti di bosco. Ingredienti Per la frolla: - 250 g di farina - 1 uovo - 100 g zucchero - 100 g burro - pizzico di sale Per la crema - 500 g latte - 4 tuorli - 150 g zucchero - 40 g amido di mais - scorza di limone 1. Lavorare a mano farina, zucchero, uova, burro, sale 2. Avvolgere il panetto nella pellicola e metterlo per un’ora in frigorifero 3. Stendere la pasta frolla con farina e matterello 4. Imburrare lo stampo e disporre la pasta frolla. Bucare con forchetta 5. Infornare a 180 gradi per 30 minuti con carta forno e fagioli al suo interno 6. Far scaldare latte e buccia di limone 7. Mescolare con frusta uova e zucchero. 8. Aggiungere l’amido di mais 9. Trasferire il latte nel composto di zucchero uova e amido 10. Trasferire di nuovo sul fuoco e mescolare. 11. So it’s the summer holidays and I bet all the kiddies are already getting restless! I bought this jar in the beginning of summer but manage to make some photos with it only now. I haven’t posted since February. Life on Earth in 2020 has been challenging to say the very least. I miss so many things and I appreciate so many new things. I’m trying to find courage and peace in a time that has so many reasons to feel hopeless and scared. The heart-breaking passing of RBG gives me courage. I spotted the first blood oranges in the supermarket this weekend and it reminded me of this lush Blood Orange and Fennel cocktail.⁠ ⁠ Add soda water if you want to spritz it up!⁠ ⁠ Ingredients⁠ 60ml gin⁠ 30ml dry vermouth⁠ 30ml blood orange liqueur (or simple syrup if using)⁠ 30ml lemon juice⁠ 100gms of fresh fennel bulb (not the green stems), chopped⁠ 3 orange slices and some for garnish⁠ ⁠ How to make:⁠ Put the gin, vermouth, chopped fennel and orange in a cocktail shaker. Muddle together well. BRINGING LIFE BACK TO THE DUNES The Dynamic Dunescapes project is a nationwide project that aims to bring life back to the dunes of England and Wales. It endeavours to re-create bare patches of sand, slow down the rate of ecological succession and restore the dynamic processes of dunes. At Studland there are four routes we will take to restore our dunes 1. Using mechanical excavators to form bare patches of ground 2. Re-introducing cattle grazing 3. Removing invasive carp from Little Sea 4. And finally, encouraging people to explore the dunes… What better way to open the land, limit vegetation growth and create some much-needed disturbance than our very own feet? We want to remove this assumption that going on the dunes will harm them, and instead get people onto the dunes, to go off path, open up the land – and know that by doing so they are actually helping the dunes. The Dynamic Dunescapes project will essentially open the gates to Studland’s dunes, encouraging disturbance and reforming these cycles of growth and decline. When we do this, we also need to be very careful that we strike the right balance. We want to create disturbance, but not too much and at the right place and time of the year. If we strike the right balance and let nature steer us, we can restore so much of what has been lost – we can again see this mosaic landscape of open sandy habitats with lots of special life hidden inside. Went wild blueberry picking today, a yearly tradition for my family and I. We know of a public field where almost no one goes and so every August, we get to pick as much as we want—for free 😱 . It’s always tricky to figure out when exactly the blueberries are ready, depends on the weather—and since this location is about an hour away from home, we can’t check on them regularly so we need to take a leap and just go when we can. This year, out timing was just right, the berries are so plump and sweet! Plus, the bushes were so heavy with berries that we managed to pick 16 cups (!!!) in under an hour 💪🏼 . When I was young, I never knew there could be a wrong way to love. That’s why when at 9 years old I had my first crush, I never thought twice about the fact that it could be wrong in any way. Because there’s no time for stillness⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 💤 I’ve always gone with the @dalailama mindset of “sleep is the best form of meditation” but after #travelling for 10 weeks across Europe, without having the #hustle-bustle of life, the city, rushing for meetings & a strict 2 hours of scheduled work each day I realised how the lack of day to day “noise” helps the brain process things in the background so well⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 🧠 I realised how much space my mind had to resolve issues in my life⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 👉🏼 Like broken friendships, relationship [negative] patterns, toxic behaviours & life goals too⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 🖥 Like a computer, the more tasks the mind is processing, the less it can do effectively⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ ♥️ From having less noise & #lessstress, My resting heart rate dropped 20% & heart rate variability tripled⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 🥳 Only when I returned from travels I realised how many issues I fixed without even realising I was working on them!⁣ ⠀ ⠀ 🧘🏼‍♂️ I now ensure I meditate every day for at least 20 mins. It’s tiny compared to a whole day of #stillness, but it really helps⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ Because I’m so active I always found it hard to “make myself” stop but with the @mysensate (on my chest) & the understanding of how game-changing meditation is, I do it⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 👉🏼 Sensate holds me accountable, stops me, guides me & takes me deep⁣ ⠀ ⁣ ⠀ 👣 Today I’m in the garden, #grounding & #meditating (this photo was hard AF to take!) ⠀ ⠀ @MySensate will be exhibiting at our summit-dont forget to check out their stand and try out their clever tech that help take your meditation practice deeper! - @healthoptimisationsummit on Instagram

Balance inspired by nature. There’s a lot of talk about agni and digestive fire in the Ayurveda world, but equally important is agni’s counterpart soma. The moon is nature’s feminine counterpart to the masculine energy of the sun. Masculine-identifying bodies are directed by the 24 hour circadian rhythm associate with solar energy. Feminine-identifying bodies have a rhythm that is guided by the 29.5 day cycle of lunar energy. Over the past few years I’ve been drawn into connecting more with the moon through monthly new and full moon rituals. I see this as a way to flow with what’s already happening in the cosmos, rather than fight against it. So yes, a daily rhythm connected by the sun and the doshic times is super healing, but so is the subtle ebb and flow of a monthly rhythm connected to the subtle energy of the moon.
