I have been loving f factor sesame sugar snap peas and added it into my salad and it tasted amazing. The flavor from it was so good and I didn’t even need to add other dressing to it. Here are some tips to make your salads healthier! ⭐️Ask for dressing on the side at restaurants - 2 tablespoons of dressing is typically 200 calories which is a lot of added calories for dressing. Adding balsamic vinegar, lemon juice or salsa are great options! ⭐️use darker greens like arugula, spinach, and kale because they are much more nutritious (more vitamins) compared to iceberg lettuce which is mainly water ⭐️nutritional yeast is a much healthier alternative to cheese (has protein and vitamin B-12 which aids with weight loss) ⭐️add lots of veggies since it is nutrient dense and packed with fiber leaving you more full! ⭐️gg crackers are a great alternative to croutons since they are crunchy! - @sophfitness365 on Instagram

‘Everyone you meet always asks you if you have a career, are married, or own a house, as if life was some kind of grocery list. But no one ever asks you if you’re happy.’ __Heath Ledger . . On my way back home after an incredible break. But also hot on the heels of the collective break that was universal lockdown. And it has given me double pause to think, to reevaluate, and to really sit with the question: ‘what is happiness?’ Yesterday I scribbled into my journal ‘what do I want, and WHY?’ And I really think that continuing to ask myself that question is at the core of my happiness; living with purpose. Don’t get me wrong, holidays are incredible, job satisfaction is wonderful and finding love is mind blowingly fortunate. But those things don’t MAKE a person happy. It’s not like you tick all those things off a list and eh voila you’ve magically found eternal happiness (as with everything else in life those things are fleeting and ever changing.) Happiness is not a destination, and it is not something you find externally. (This last point has been a long old road of discovery for me personally.) But when I re-ask myself the question: What do YOU want? And WHY? it always refocuses my intention, and ultimately what is the driving force of my actions. Hiked 30 minutes (one way) to the lake yesterday & back. Who is this incredibly healthy woman I am becoming? 😏😏😁 Believe that your health can improve quickly, but also accept the fact that healing may take time, especially with more complex cases of chronic dis-ease. Allow yourself the space, patience & love to heal at your own pace. Its all Divinely timed. Trust this. Its easy to become discouraged through comparison. You see the poster children for certain therapies or healing modalities. Those who healed seemingly overnight. & you cant help but wonder: when is it gonna be MY turn? Know your time is coming Sweet Child. The first 4 years of my recovery felt like a massive failure. I saw dozens of doctors and specialists, I took pharmaceuticals that were supposed to help but gave me terrible insomnia & awful night sweats; I tried countless alternate therapies, acupuncture, direct neurofeedback, the Gupta program. None of it worked. I struggled very much initially. After the 4th year things started to turn around. My recovery has been gradual. Through much trial & error, I discovered effective treatment options and applied them consistently. Consistency is KEY in recovery 👌 Ive been doing faster eft almost daily for 17 months now, DNRS for 10 months, and raw veganism for 5. This has been the foundation of my healing: Diet & Subconscious re-programming. The body is an expression of the subconscious mind so you better believe that subconscious patterning plays a role in the manifestation of physical dis-ease. I saw almost immediate positive shifts and improvements as a direct result of these therapies, but it certainly wasnt an overnight miracle cure. I had to commit to my health every single day & continue to. There were many many hard days when I felt like I took a step backwards & I would cry from frustration and feelings of hopelessness. Physical disability is a challenging experience. But I always picked myself back up and kept going. I still have hard moments sometimes, but sweet Ease & Strength permeate more and more of my days. A summer day with Mother (in) Nature. (My attempt to being philosophical) I was listening to this super duper inspiring podcast with Elizabeth Gilbert (@elizabeth_gilbert_writer ) talking about self kindness and creativity. I realised those are gifts being passed on from your mother either through their love and affection for their child or merely through DNA. Equipped with either of these you can hope to experience a good life with carefreeness, love and compassion. Love is a quality also required for being creative. You need an open mind to imagine things and to be inspired you need to be empathetic and have a flow. In the Podcast they suggested that ideas are travellers. An idea can catch you, it can stay with you but if you don’t create from that idea it will leave you again and travel to the next person. After I finished the episode I went for a swim and felt safe and comfy like I must have felt when I was in my mothers womb,but full of thoughts. What an inspiring woman I thought. And then I saw my mother smiling back at me. I rushed back to the towels and ask some random person to take a photo of us to recreate the painting when god made men (Adam). I came to the conclusion that god maybe have made men but mothers make us human. Not one of my usual posts, but... It’s now been just over 6 months of me going to Orangetheory Fitness. Started twice a week and the past 2 months I’ve been going 5 days a week on average due to the Transformation challenge. I went as a joke to be honest. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d enjoy it so much. Never thought I’d like running, and now I can’t get enough (though my body disagrees with me...). I’ve started to see results (hence the pic ☺️) and feel absolutely amazing. And I know I can do so much more! During this difficult time, I was hoping the studios would stay open, but as everything else, they’ve decided to shut down for 2 weeks. Completely understand the decision, although I was heartbroken to find out. Today I did the first in-home workout (@otfstpete, here’s your tag 😁). I’m so grateful they decided to do this! I know a lot of people are in the same situation and it feels great knowing you’re part of a community that’s all about improving! I’ve met some great people and can’t wait to see what else is waiting. Yesterday. A Jesus story. I took this shot 20 minutes before I was attacked by a pitbull in Percy Priest Park. I don’t know how Kyle got to me but I’m quite sure one of the stories here is my that husband learned to fly yesterday. The second photo is me curled up in he hospital waiting room. We got home at 3am. I am ok. I have bites and bruises on my side and butt. Shots and antibiotics, no stitches, they didn’t want to trap infection in. The fact that it wasn’t worse is nothing short of supernatural rescue. To the women in the park who crowded around me laying on the ground to wash my wounds. I will really never forget you. I was so scared and you were such light. To all of you who reached out today thank you so much. I feel loved and cared for. Growing up I couldnt wait to one day travel to new exotic places, and possibly live abroad. Especially as i grew up not having much. Im from Namibia, Africa🌍 which I believe is one of the beautifulest places in the world. . However like most African countries we have a pretty high unemployment rate, crime rate, lack of opportunity. So I chose to make a life for myself abroad. I come from a multicultural family and was fortunate to move to Europe and then the UK in my twenties. Now in the Cayman Islands, which I’m so grateful🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 and lucky to live in... . All of that aside, Im still an African at heart ❤️ and always will be. I miss home so much right now. Especially with the prospect of not being able to go for ages. I miss family meals, laughter, fighting, reminusing about childhood, road trips… . This longing for home makes me realize more than ever how important gratitude, presence and not taking things for granted is. Really savoring moments with loved ones, even though they drive you nuts. You have no idea what life can bring as Covid has proven. How long it might be till the next time you see them!!! . This was a few years ago at home in Namibia 🇳🇦 in September. LATE SUMMER SEASON // I read a post on @yinovacenter the other day about how in Chinese medicine late summer is treated as its own season: the transition period between Summer & Fall, also the perfect time to contemplate and digest the year so far. In ogni stagione, nelle varie ore del giorno, sulle sue sponde e nei dintorni, si può godere dei meravigliosi colori della natura,ginestre, orchidee, biancospino , viole, primule … Numerosi sono i sentieri nelle zone circostanti, in particolare, Il Sentiero Natura , che costeggia il lato destro e che , per un tratto di 900 metri, è adatto ai disabili e il sentiero che dalla diga porta alle Lame Rosse , formazioni a forma di pinnacoli e torri derivanti dallerosione di agenti atmosferici. Le acque del Lago sono particolarmente limpide non inquinate e balneabili per questo, ottiene dal 2016 le 3 vele del Touring. Numerose sono le attività praticabili: escursioni a piedi ed in mountain bike, nordic walking, pesca, sport acquatici, vela canoa, pedalò, canoe , tiro con l’arco, attraversare il lago da una sponda allaltra con una teleferica presso il Parco Avventura sul Lago. - @delegazione_fai_macerata on Instagram
