Chris Thorne is the proud owner of the 1st BIG cut I ever worked. I was working his corner alongside @parrumpaatt at #FightTime promotions vs Shaha Bobonis. It was a gritty fight, lots of dirty boxing & inside fighting. Late in the 1st round Chris caught a knee opening him up bad. We knew from the moment it started leaking the fight was over once the action stopped. To Chriss credit he fought his ass off doing the best he could to push the pace. When the round ended I got right to work cleaning him up. I stuck a huge self wrapped swab in his head (Thick as a pen) the cut took the whole swab & half thumb. Dr. Fields came over & pulled it open like a bag of chips. You could see Chriss skull, but Chris never conceeded. Told the ref & Dr. He was fine. That he delt with worse and was ready to go on. As the ref waived the fight off you could hear Chris plead with the ref to let him keep fighting. IM A MARINE! I CAN FIGHT! but the cut was too bad. JA, sie findet statt! Messen zählen nicht zu Großveranstaltungen, sondern werden zusammen mit anderen Branchen in der Hamburger Corona-Verordnung in einem eigenen Paragrafen geregelt (§ 13 Verkaufsstellen, Ladenlokale, Messen und Märkte). Wir wurden in letzter Zeit mehrfach gefragt: Warum äußert ihr Euch nicht zu Auflagen? Der Grund war einfach, dass es in Hamburg eine ‚Corona-Verordnung‘ mit Laufzeit bis zum 31.08.2020 gab. Damit gab es keine amtliche Vorgabe für eine Messe im November – wir hätten nur vermuten und spekulieren können. Das wollten wir nicht. Uns liegt aber sehr an einer offenen und rechtzeitigen Kommunikation mit den Ausstellern und Besuchern der Messe. Die neue Hamburger Verordnung, die vom 01.09. bis bis Ende November gilt, wurde nun veröffentlicht (https://www.hamburg.de/verordnung/14238770/2020-08-25-rechtsverordnung/). Entscheidend für die Durchführung von Messen in Hamburg: Der Satz zu Besucherbeschränkungen ist entfallen. Die Hygieneregeln aber bleiben. Mit dem Wegfall der Besucherbeschränkung hat sich die Ausgangsposition – was die Messe angeht – verbessert! Für Abend-Events gilt allerdings unverändert: Tanzveranstaltungen bleiben verboten, wir müssen und werden daher die Konzeption für die Abend-Events dem ab dem 01.09. geltenden Rahmen anpassen müssen. Nachdem nun die im November gültige Verordnung vorliegt, stimmen wir jetzt unser Hygienekonzept mit den Behörden ab. Und informieren dann auch im Detail darüber. Von folgenden Regelungen ist auszugehen: • Es erfolgt im Foyer eine Besucherregistrierung. Hier werden wir auf den Datenschutz achten. SFX design- Tooth pick and Fork injected forearm!🔪💉 •• To Recreate This look: •Prep and Clean the area •First roll out your cotton balls into thin strips •Set the cotton strips aside and place your fork onto your arm then take some scar wax and mold it on top of the fork •After you have molded the scar wax on top of the fork put a coat of liquid latex on top of the scar wax and around the base of the scar wax •Put a layer of cotton where you just placed the liquid latex then put more liquid latex on top of the cotton and let the cotton and latex dry •Once your cotton and latex has dried apply your water or alcohol based paint onto the area •When you have finished applying the paint put your tooth picks into the cotton and latex •After you have painted the cotton and latex and put your tooth picks in you can apply your fake blood and your done! Maxillofavial Trauma Management - Airway ———————————————————————— After we handle the immediate life threats (massive hemorrhage), we have to consider the airway. Look, listen, and feel: take a look at the injuries and look inside the mouth for blood, vomit, broken teeth, dentures, chewing tobacco, etc. If any of these are present, grab your suction and clear it out. If dismounted or without mechanical suction, grab a 60cc syringe with a cathedral tip and a put an NPA on it to create a field expedient manual suction device. Give the lungs a listen and see if you’re getting adequate air movement. If the environment is keeping you from listening, place you’re hands on the chest and feel for bilaterally equal rise and fall of the chest. ———————————————————————— I would personally prefer to skip the intubation attempt and go for a surgical cricothyroidotomy. Orotracheal and nasotracheal intubation may be attempted but be aware that musculoskeletal tissue disruption will likely increase the difficulty of intubation. LMAs and I-Gels can be used to buy you some time to prep for a cric, but they don’t prevent regurgitation and aspiration of vomitus and may increase vomiting unless a paralytic has been administered (which is unlikely due to the fact that we likely haven’t gained vascular access at this point in our assessment). This is probably my second foam latex paint job and application. The facial prosthetic itself is from Rubie’s costumes and was given to me by a friend a few years back (@gorybutlovely I hope it did you proud girl 😊) It was a little daunting to me, painting foam latex but I think I pulled it alright. Definitely learned some new things during all this ———————— Products used: Stitched foam latex facial prosthetic from Rubie’s costumes. Prosaide for application and edge blending Bald cap two different prosthetic transfers from @tinsleytransfers (stitched, and Frankenstein bolts on the neck) Homemade pax paint (acrylic paint and prosaide) I tinted for skin tones and initial base paint job. @skinillustratorofficial alcohol palettes to add depth to the cuts and wrinkles and break up skin tones (bloody five, Joel Harlow on set, and my zombie palettes) I added a touch of blood to the cuts later using fake blood from redrum (The eye was photoshopped. I’m basically blind without glasses or contacts, and with having to cover one of my eyes underneath the prosthetic and using the mesh contact lens I wanted in the other eye would’ve resulted in me being just about totally blind.
