NEOUS x SELFRIDGES / Handbag Launch We were thrilled to once again collaborate with our friends @ NEOUS for the launch of their Women’s Handbag Collection. They asked us to design and produce their Pop-Up Installation @theofficialselfridges Designer Accessories Hall on Monday 7th September. The brief was to treat an existing Table with a creative envelope that translated the systematic arrangement of a repeated shape. Curvature and repetition in design was a key principal in the pleated construction of the Handbag collection and we wanted to incorporate this through the organic fluid lines of the installation which contrasts against the surrounding rectilineal environment - all straight lines and squared angles, the curves soften the installation’s impact and act’s as a creative juxtaposition to it’s location. We also designed the beautiful Handbag stands which were inspired by the beauty of nature and the efficiency of a simple curve and the minimal design language of the Core aesthetic’s of Neous’s Brand’s DNA. The construction of the build was crafted from sustainable materials in line with Selfridges Project Earth initiative which marks a new chapter in Selfridges’ history – the start of a challenging yet essential journey to completely change the way we shop and put sustainability at the heart of everything we do. The Pop-Up will be live for one month in Selfridges Oxford St / Accessories Hall which is located on the East side / Gnd Floor. A Huge Thanks to Neil @neilmorgancreative for collaborating with us on the production and installation of this Project. Une nouvelle économie qui balaye tous les codes du commerce avec la bénédiction des marques. «Jai plus de 300 paires, explique Ronny, un des deux organisateurs de la Sneakermesse. Nous sommes des passionnés et des collectionneurs… et franchement, nous en avions marre de devoir nous déplacer partout pour trouver ces perles rares.» Il y a six ans, à Dudelange, lui et son ami Cédric décident dorganiser un rendez-vous au Luxembourg. «On sest dit, pourquoi ne pas amener tout le monde ici», raconte ce dernier. Ce dimanche, à Luxexpo The Box, les deux hommes sont au four et au moulin pour que lévénement respecte strictement les consignes sanitaires. Enregistrement obligatoire à léntrée pour laisser ses coordonnées, prévente en ligne, distributeur de gel tous les dix mètres. «Surtout, nous avons limité le nombre dexposants à 65 pour que cela laisse de la place aux 3.000 visiteurs.» Les allées sont assez larges, un DJ ambiance cette foule jeune et cosmopolite qui vient parfois de très loin. «Nous avons des Polonais qui étaient à Amsterdam et ont été déçus. Eux là, viennent dune base américaine en Allemagne», raconte encore Cédric. Avec des paires «made in US», parfois emballées dans du cellophane, parfois derrière un panneau «Interdit de toucher». À la différence dun magasin de sport classique, ici, les modèles sont exposés par milliers, mais dans une seule pointure.
