Dá para manter autoestima usando óculos? 👁️🤓🧐😎 Os óculos podem interferir positiva ou negativamente com a autoestima das pessoas, dependendo da idade, da necessidade, da quantidade de grau e espessura das lentes. As crianças costumam gostar muito de usar os óculos, porque isso as torna diferentes e elas se sentem até especiais, algo parecido com o aparelho nos dentes. Всегда прикалывалась с забавных фактов, и время пришло, фигачу сама ;Р ⠀ 1. Лет в 14 меня постоянно принимали за мальчика. У меня были короткие волосы, ходила в кроссах, да и шмотки пацанские были. В принципе подобные ошибочка вышла случались и позже. Уже в универе как-то ехала в автобусе и услышала, как позади компашка обсуждает, мальчик я или девочка. 2. Самое юзабельное в отношении меня прилагательное - странная. Ничего не слышала чаще этого. 3. Когда только познакомились с мужем, он думал, что я на наркотиках сижу: полуприкрытые глаза, максимальные покерфейс и безэмоциональность, и, как он утверждает, странные движения, типа лайк э Джек Воробей. 4. Кстати, в школе ко мне привязалась кличка Наркоманка. Мне нравилось. Да и сейчас нравится, только, естественно, меня так уже не называют. 5. Обожала джинсы на низкой посадке, из-под них вечно выглядывали трусы. 6. Увлекаться чтением начала лет в 13, чисто потому что начала слушать Мэнсона и не могла не прочитать его Длинный, трудный путь из ада. В книге он упоминал Потерянный рай Мильтона, Сатанинскую Библию Ла-Вея, Антихристианина Ницше; выбора у меня не было. До этого за плечами был только Гарри Поттер. 7. В свое время называла себя анимешницей, ходила на анимки, Някала и носила ушки. Тот день был как раз ушечный день; мы гуляли с подругой, и пересеклись с актерами из сериала Кадетство, заглянувшим к нам в город. Ну так вот они прокричали нам Кис-кис. Кстати, аниме люблю до сих пор, иногда и мангу читаю. 8. Как-то играли в школе в Слабо, мне выпало сказать охраннику, что хочу его. Выкрикнула и благополучно забыла, а несколько лет спустя класснуха рассказала мне об этой ситуэйшн, и я такая: О___О 9. Обожаю использовать английские словечки в речи. 10. For those who havent heard it, my long term collaborator and friend @maxcoopermax has produced a beautiful album with pianist Bruce Brubaker @pianomorphosis - a rework of the @philipglassmusic masterpiece Glassworks, entitled Glassforms. @infinemusic , the label who have released the album, asked me to create a film to accompany the vinyl release of the album, for the first single The Poet Acts. Link in my bio. - The result is my first full entry into narrative filmmaking and analogue visual effects. More on the concept and technical side later. - The film deals with isolation, creativity and the blurring of dreams and reality. I would love to hear your thoughts and interpretations. Amazing vision improvement (20/400 to 20/25) with a scleral lens for a patient with keratoconus! ◽️ This patient presented to us for a specialty contact lens consultation. They had advanced keratoconus with a corneal curvature of 60.9D/72.2 D. You can see this on the second photo of the corneal topography (mapping). A regular cornea is about 43/45 Diopters in curvature. This means that our patients cornea has thinned and protruded significantly due to keratoconus. ◽️ This eye had a vision of 20/400, and was only able to be corrected with glasses to 20/200. ◽️ We designed a custom scleral lens for this patient that has four different (quad-specific) curvatures to fit around the sclera (white part of the eye). You can see on the first photo how beautifully the lens curves around the eye, allowing all the blood vessels to travel uninterrupted beneath the lens. (@bauschlomb) ◽️ The third photo shows the unique curves of the patients sclera, which is able to be mapped with our specialized Oculus Pentacam equipment and software. (@oculus_usa) ◽️ On the fourth photo you can see the lens and how it vaults over the thinned cornea. This lens does not touch the patients cornea which keeps the cornea healthy and avoids scarring. This type of imaging is taken with our optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology.(@topconeyecare_id) ◽️ This scleral lens provides the patient with 20/25, clear, and comfortable vision all day long. ◽️ I am so happy about the results of this patient, who I did not think was going to be able to achieve this type of vision! ◽️ ** All photos are posted with patient consent. - @eyesplain on Instagram

Fixing Imbalance and Double Vision with an Occlusion Pupil Contact Lens! ▫️ Here is a photo of a patient of ours wearing a prosthetic soft contact lenses with a black occlusion pupil. ▫️ This patient had balance issues and double vision due to one eye having much poorer vision than the other eye. This eye had endured complications from a cataract surgery (the intraocular lens fractured in the eye) and after removal of these pieces, he had a retinal detachment and reattachment surgery. ▫️ These surgeries left our patient with distorted 20/50 vision, even with glasses, in this eye. ▫️ Even after trying to enhance the glasses prescription, he only found relief by wearing an eye patch over this eye. ▫️ We discussed that a prosthetic occlusion pupil might be a better option for him cosmetically and he agreed. ▫️ We fit him with an Alden black prosthetic pupil 6.5mm in size. He was very happy with this lens. He wears his glasses over his contact lens for vision and protection. ▫️ Any out there use occlusion pupils frequently? This is a LAST resort option for me but I am happy to create them for the right patient. - @eyesplain on Instagram
