I’ve been wanting to work... softer, for a while now. While I love the dust + metal + patience that come along with jewelry making, its harshness hasn’t felt aligned with my inner world. The reality is that I am soft and pink and intuitive, and full of feelings and in-depth considerations... and I’m finding a lot more joy and satisfaction in a completely new medium lately. This kind of creation feels like a big, relieved sigh. I’m finally embracing long neglected facets of my being. A hazard of wearing two full arms of bangles is that they damage some of my more delicate sweaters. I knit this Hampton cardigan out of hand spun in 2010. Today I used the Darning Loom to mend my bracelet holes. Ive been enjoying visible mending socks but I wove this patch using the same yarn and its practically invisible.
