Sex Pistols bola anglická punk rocková hudobná skupina so silným vplyvom. Bola jednou z prvých kapiel, ktoré začali v 70. rokoch 20. storočia hrať punk. Dodnes je pre mnohých fanúšikov tohto hudobného štýlu legendou (spolu s americkou skupinou Ramones). Skupina sa preslávila svojim debutovým a zároveň jediným štúdiovým albumom Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols. V novembri 2005 bolo oznámené, že skupina bude uvedená do Rokenrolovej siene slávy. Slávnostná ceremónia sa uskutočnila 14. marca 2006 v New Yorku, na ktorú skupina neprišla. Spolu so Sex Pistols boli ocenené aj skupiny Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blondie, džezovýtrubkár Miles Davis a skupina Black Sabbath. Na svojej internetovej stránke zverejnili Sex Pistols ručne napísané vyhlásenie, v ktorom uviedli, že o túto poctu nestoja. One of the best shows we ever did play, was together with @powertriptx in Gothenburg back in 2016. Douglas old band @medeafuckers had played with them a few years earlier and Riley remembered his face, so he came to say hi to us and we was chatting on together the whole evening and it was just a great night with great sets from all bands. Seeing Power Trip in a small stinky venue that double worked as a black smith forge house was also kick ass. Oi, oi! ✨Estamos inaugurando uma nova série de posts! A Referências 3 é um jeito bacana que encontramos de compartilhar um conteúdo mais leve e informal, de mostrar um pouco quem somos e, eventualmente, de abrir este espaço para um pessoal de fora que achamos massa e queremos que vocês conheçam. Toda segunda-feira vamos compartilhar as três principais referências de alguém, dentro de um recorte de tema e linguagem artística. E, porque achamos que o Ateliê397 é um espaço que fala sobre ruptura e questionamento, esse é o nosso primeiro tema! ✌️ Para inaugurar a série, eu, Carô – o estagiário, óbvio – 🌈🌈, trouxe três das minhas principais referências na fotografia. A autorrepresentação e a representação do outro através da câmera sempre me fascinaram, porque estão diretamente relacionadas às questões que envolvem a identidade. Nesse sentido, as três fotógrafas selecionadas exploram esse campo de modo a possibilitar uma discussão sobre expressão e gênero. Claude Cahun, fotógrafa surrealista da década de 30, rompe com os papéis de gênero feminino e masculino em suas imagens, tratando a identidade como algo em constante mutação. Recovering after a whirlwind week of funding app hustle! To help our chances it would be amazing if you could share our FB and/or IG page 💕 For those who have just joined us, MESH is a non-profit DIY music collective made up of a core group of passionate queer femme musicians and artists based in Pōneke who sensed greater potential for connection between the music and visual art communities, as well as between different groups within the wider music community. From the outset it was important for us to provide an accessible space for experimentation with a focus on artists and audiences who often exist on the fringes and may not otherwise feel supported. To help achieve this, we put a lot of thought into the visual component of our events and consider ways in which we can shift environments through the use of installation and collaboration with local multidisciplinary artists. We seek to question what it looks like to curate an experimental music event that draws new people in rather than alienates, as well as how popular music events operate when combined with experimental elements. This perspective is reflected in the stylistic diversity of our past events which have ranged from club, to drone to pop, as well as in our monthly mix series which has featured live recordings of improvised noise jams, DJ mixes, unreleased material and tracks from friends in the community, whether that be pop, punk or experimental electronic music. In both the facilitation of our events and monthly mix series we aim to provide as much creative control and autonomy to the musicians and artists as possible. From personal experience, we know that providing a supportive and empowering environment can make a big difference in terms of feeling encouraged to take creative risks and persevere within an industry which can sometimes be hostile to those who don’t fit within the dominant culture. If successful, we would use the funding to redesign our website on a more flexible platform, for new online initiatives to support continued collaboration between the music and visual arts communities, as well as fund contributions to the current words section of the site. You introduced us to new friends, and reunited us with old ones. You took us to some of the best fests in Europe like Sjock, Freakland, Bukta, Flamingo Beach, and Felicia Pop. 2019 were gonna miss you like a motherfucker....
