Taken this time last year when the world was a very different place, this photo signifies for me what a proper community grocery store is all about. Dedicated, hard-working, knowledgeable staff who are more like family than employees; a hand-picked array of British produce celebrating artisan producers from all corners of our country; and all in place to serve the wonderful people of Bermondsey and beyond. The three of us here have been working flat out since lockdown and been happy to keep our customers fed and watered. But we are now ready for a break and have decided to close the shop for a week and a bit to give us all a good rest, ready to celebrate our 3rd anniversary at the beginning of September. We will shut up shop at 6pm on Saturday 22nd August and reopen on Wednesday 2nd September. There is still time to stock up on your favourite goodies and for the next 9 days we are offering a 10% discount if you spend over £60 in store.
