His hands so kind as they worked. The hands of an intellectual master of his trade. They moved so naturally, so confidently, and yet so gently. I was already in awe of this human and after that you can just imagine where I ranked him. I had only booked him to fix my left eye. And as he was mapping the incision I felt him working on my right eye. And he says to me Would you be ok if I did a little on your right eye to perfectly balance them?...once again before he finished the sentence I screamed YES!! And he did the right eye...just because... Whenever I visited the office I took them lunch. He loveeeeddd his Lebanese food! One day I get a text from Sarah. Dr. Lee was having withdrawls and needed Lebanese food THAT DAY for lunch 😂 they needed the hook up. I felt forever indebted to him for all he had done for me. I made him custom @t.a.s.b.e.e.h bracelets, it was small gestures to show my gratitude. To me, nothing in comparison to what he had done but he always made me feel like HE was so grateful. What a humble human. What a kind soul. What an incredible person. I have so much more to say in regards to his character. His place in our industry. His talent. His mind. His heart. There isnt enough room to speak to his character. There really isnt enough room. I grieve the loss of this angel. My thoughts and prayers and deepest condolences to his family. I cannot believe I am writing about the passing of Dr. Lee. I absolutely cannot comprehend this tragedy. We’re deeply saddened by the passing of Lady Yvonne Sursock Cochrane, who campaigned tirelessly for the preservation of Lebanon’s architectural heritage throughout her life. Lady Cochrane was the chairperson of the Sursock Museum committee from 1960 to 1966, and was a pivotal figure in the Museum’s development in its early years. She was also the founder of the Association for the Protection of Natural Sites and Ancient Homes in Lebanon (APSAD), and was its president from 1960 to 2002. Lady Cochrane’s historic mansion was very badly damaged following the Beirut port explosion. She suffered some injuries, and then retreated to Sofar. She passed away at the age of 98. Tive uma infância incrível, aprendi com meus avós paternos vô Viva e vó Cacilda a ter muita fé, a gostar de coisas mais reservadas, o vô Viva era o vovô do desenho cão coragem, só quem conheceu aquele magrinho sabe o quanto era bom aquela farinha de biju com leite, o chimarrão virado mais gostoso que já tomei, carrego a marca do fogão a lenha até hoje, mas isso graças a minha mãe kkkkk A vó Cacilda tem os melhores quitutes culinários que você pode imaginar, um revirado de feijão com cebola e ovo frito que até hoje eu me derreto, sabe aquela casa de vó de interior? É a dela, aquele cheirinho de café passado no coador de pano, o fogão a lenha .... Não temos nenhuma foto recente juntos, o vô Viva já se foi, e a vó ainda segue lá firme e forte e graças a ela seguimos também, continua com sua fé inabalável e nos fortalecendo com suas orações, nos cuidando com amor em oração. A press release from APIB sums up the issue: While the federal government is passively watching the criminal fires that have engulfed the country, the head of the Institutional Security Office, General Heleno, has published a serious accusation on his personal account on social networks. He states that  APIB and one of its leaders, Sônia Guajajara, have committed a crime against the country by denouncing illegal fires, the invasions of indigenous territories, and other criminal acts presently besetting Amazonia and other Brazilian biomes. APIB claims that the greatest crime that is now harming Brazil is the governments failure to protect the environment, specially in areas set aside for conservation. Protected areas have been systematically invaded by land grabbers since the beginning of Jair Bolsonaro’s government in 2019. On the eve of the United Nations General Assembly, the whole world is witnessing this crime - too big to be concealed. Instead of attacking individuals who work to protect the environment and guarantee the rights of indigenous peoples, the authorities should now comply with the country’s constitutional charter and present the nation with a effective plan to ban all illegal fires. By protecting the environment, the economy will also thrive and Brazil will preserve its political reputation. The accusations by General Heleno, in addition to being frivolous and false, are irresponsible, as they endanger the personal security of those accused. Porfirio. Aficionado y amante del fútbol, cualquier partido era pretexto para sentarnos frente a la tele, comentar las jugadas, gritar goles, celebrar triunfos, derrotas, insultar a los árbitros y analizar jugadas del VAR. El primer mundial del que me habló fue el de Suecia 1958 donde el joven Pelé destacó y desde entonces nunca perderse un solo mundial, Liga de Campeones, Libertadores, Liga MX y el fútbol nacional. El último partido que vimos juntos fue el que el América le ganó al Guadalajara, antes el triunfo de los Cremas contra Santa Lucía. Antes de la pandemia y los encerrones, conseguí algunas semillas de diversas flores y se creó un jardín que está atrayendo a mariposas a la casa, como una muestra de que en cualquier lado Pío generaba vida, color y paz. Las últimas que le lleve fueron unos claveles y crisantemos, para que el jardín tuviese mayor variedad. Sus girasoles siguen creciendo y pronto darán la cara al sol, pero esta vez serán un recuerdo de su herencia. Pero también se portaba buena onda: más cuando llegaba midiendo las calles. La primera vez que vio SouthPark y salió una parodia de Jesús ( algunos entenderán) se mataba de la risa. Aguantaba vara. Las últimas navidades era él quien se ponía hasta las chanclas y yo dormido. Le gustaban los mariscos, la marimba, los boleros, te hablaba de la época de Ubico, la Revolución, 1954, los convites, los viajes a Esquipulas, me llevó a ayudarle en la siembra y molestar. De las últimas fotos fue con los bisnietos más pequeños, a quienes los molestaba hasta que se enojaran, quería hacerle una especial para navidad, una de sus épocas favoritas cuando elaboraba por días su nacimiento, el año pasado me pidió que le hiciera fotos y obvio posó para la cámara. Aprendió un poco sobre el internet, la telefonía, los canales de deportes y un poco de las transmisiones en streaming. Para su cumple 92 no pude llegar a su fiesta porque se me descompuso el carro y no pude llegar a casa para el 7 de septiembre. Hizo unas remodelaciones con las que me pretendía sorprender la próxima semana. Hoy, don Pío estiró la pata después de un infarto que le apagó de la noche a la mañana la vida. Como les va con sus jefes?🤔 Como Asistente Administrativa tuve jefes peruanos, mexicanos, panameño, venezolano y argentino. De todos aprendí mucho 💯pero hoy quiero resaltar a uno especial: el doctor (con doctorado para su orgullo) Dr. Eduardo Parodi Larco.💯💛☀️ Lo conocí cuando llegué recontra chibola 🙋🏻‍♀️y desde ese momento trabajé con él. Nos conoció al Tésori y a mi cuando éramos enamorados luego novios. Estuvo en nuestro matrimonio y trabajé con él durante mis dos embarazos. Conoció a mis hijos . Será por eso que lo consideraba como un segundo padre.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 En verdad es muy fácil querer a este gordito con cara de buena gente .🤓 Excelente relacionista público sin haber estudiado para ello,🤭 el mejor Director Médico, respetado por sus colegas, sencillo a veces y a veces no tanto.🙈 Amado y admirado por la visita médica, querido por todos, con un humor inigualable (no apto para todos)🤭 y con un corazón de oro y amigo leal que defendía a su equipo ante todos . Es por eso que aunque ya no trabajábamos juntos desde hace 13 años nos reunimos dos veces por año en su querido Club Regatas para conversar y ponernos al tanto de nuestras familias y de la vida. Doña Indalecia, coplera de Tilcara, que ya está preparda para el martes de Ch’alla en lo del Tukuta, dijo:hay que darle todo lo que le gusta a la Pachamama, nuestra Madre Tierra, a ella le gusta la alegría, los colores, la música y sobre todo que todos VIVAN EN ARMONÍA . Es tiempo del Samay Kuy o sea el Tiempo de Dar, borrando los egoísmos, los individualísimos, las envidias, abriendo el corazón a compartir con los hermanos un espacio comunitario y colectivo, como la naturaleza nos muestra en este tiempo, sin retaceos sin mezquindades.
