#HadasDelosCharcos #naturalezaasombrosa #anostraceos #charcas #crustáceo #anostraca #animalessorprendentes #animallovers #curiosidadesdelanaturaleza #naturalezaenpeligro - @fglobalnature on Instagram

For the next week, we at WildPhoto Travel will be posting composition images from our two professional photography hosts with a small inside thought as to why they chose to capture the specific picture in such a manner. These images are all from our Svalbard 2020 Season. As you can imagine with 6 successful expeditions, having Polar bears on each one and keeping our clients COVID FREE, there are many images to work through. This image was captured by @ojlwildphoto He quotes “ viewing a polar bear from this angle enhances the masculinity of these creatures, the sun highlighting its fur. The sunlight brightens the water giving the image depth with colour and perspective of the habitat the polar bears live.” Follow the link in our bio for future expeditions and available spaces. #composition #photography #polarbears #photographer #photooftheday #svalbard_travel #unique #travel #travelphotography #professionalphotographer #natgeotravel #instaanimal #roamtheplanet #discover - @wildphototravel on Instagram

#StopDelphinarium - @onevoiceanimal on Instagram

- The Beluga Whale’s adaptations are considered to be the best in the animal kingdom. They can swim backwards, their bulbous head facilitates echolocation, their lack of dorsal fin helps minimize heat loss, and their cervical vertebrate is not fused so they can move their head in any direction.

Yayy!! Have you ever had the feeling that a fish could be laughing at you? The funniest thing about this dive was that it took me ages to realize there was a porcupinefish inside the barrel sponge! I had my eyes glued on the sponge, looking for hairy squat lobsters, and only after a while did I see this camouflaged guy moving away from my camera with a smile on his face! - Male bottlenose dolphins use “names” to recognise friends and foes within their social network. Researchers also observed dolphins using physical contact and synchronised behaviour to reinforce social bonds. Researchers said tactile contact was “similar to holding hands or hugs in human society”.

- Why do belugas sometimes look like mermaids? The erection of fatty deposits seems to be controlled by abdominal muscles, these structures may be used to help control movement through the water in the absence of a dorsal fin.

Whale whale whale, would you look what day it is! 🐋 Humpbacks are marvelous marine mammals, and they’re really world travelers. Every year, humpback populations migrate from cooler feeding grounds to warmer breeding grounds. The warm, tropical climate is perfect for mating and giving birth. Each humpback whale population has its own migration route, and those who travel from Antarctica to northern South America have the longest migration of any mammal alive! Jellyfish are arguably one of the weirder inhabitants of our Ocean 💙 . . Jellyfish belong to the Phylum Cnidaria, and are close relatives to Corals, Hydroids and Sea Anemones. They have been around for an estimated 500 million years, making them three-times as old as the dinosaurs! 🦕 . . Jellyfish have an unusual life cycle, made up of a polyp phase and a medusae phase. Most people are familiar with the medusa phase, which is what we see in this photograph! . . Who can explain the polyp phase?🤷🏻🤷🏾♂️ . . #coralcayconservation - @coral_cay_conservation on Instagram
