Monday--time to go get em! 💥💥☕️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Todays personal goal: switch my boys’ wardrobe from summer to fall/winter. And also figure out what fits them now because my almost 8 year old looked like he was wearing shorts meant for a toddler last week (Dad oversaw dressing that day 🤷🏼‍♀️). Its time, Mom. They are growing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️I use these simple baskets in my little guy Fitzys room: side 1 is labelled for summer clothes (Shorts, Polos, etc), the other side is labeled for fall/winter (pants, sweaters, etc). When its time to switch out seasons, I pull out the basket, switch into their drawers and we are good to go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️Other baskets hold his bedding and on top, the items we dont use very often. I also made a seasonal basket that holds pajamas and t-shirts for Halloween, Christmas, St. Pattys Day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️I keep 2 bins at the bottom: Too Big & Too Small. Too small gets donated when its full, and I keep hand me down clothes from his big brothers that will fit him in the near future in Too Big. Além de ajudar a secar roupas rápido, o calor da máquina tira o amassado das peças – inclusive algumas delas você nem vai precisar passar. Basta dobrar e colocar na gaveta.⁣ No entanto, para garantir que tudo corra bem nessa etapa, é importante saber identificar os símbolos de secagem, os quais indicam orientações sobre como secar a roupa na secadora de forma adequada. Entendê-los é mais fácil do que parece, veja só:⁣ • Quadrado com um ponto: secar em temperatura mínima.⁣ • Quadrado com dois pontos: secar em temperatura máxima⁣ • X grande: proibido usar secadora⁣ ⁣ Como usar a secadora corretamente⁣ Além de seguir as instruções dos símbolos de lavagem, com os seguintes cuidados você tem como secar a roupa de maneira mais prática e eficiente:⁣ • Centrifugue a roupa. Colocar roupas muito molhadas na secadora não apenas dificulta a secagem, como também aumenta o consumo de energia elétrica.⁣ • Evite misturar certos itens. Não é recomendado secar uma toalha encharcada com algumas blusinhas mais leves e frágeis.⁣ • Verificar se as manchas foram removidas antes da secagem. Caso tenha lavado alguma roupa para tentar tirar uma mancha, verifique antes se a mancha saiu completamente, porque se secar a roupa antes da remoção da mancha, a secagem poderá fixar a mancha definitivamente.⁣ • Atenção na quantidade. As roupas secam mais rápido se não estiverem amontoadas na máquina. Ter esse cuidado também evita sobrecarregar o seu equipamento.⁣ • Previna transtornos. Verifique se os bolsos estão realmente vazios, sem moedas ou pedaços de papel. Um pouco de chiclete ou tinta de caneta podem causar transtornos se ainda estiverem nas roupas durante a secagem.⁣ • Após a secagem, retire as roupas da máquina. Shocked at how little Long sleeve shirts I have. . . Considering a good portion of the year its what I wear. I know I am supposed to only keep what #sparksjoy but this one was hard for me. Long sleeves seem to be more practical for warmth than joy. . . It was nice to see that next time I go shopping for clothing this will be my area of focus. I would like to toss a few of them that are Blah and buy some that make me feel amazing. . . Since were oversharing today...⁣ ⁣ We had no plans to share this publicly, but we also think its important to share our journeys real parts. ⁣ ⁣ Many of our local friends know that we moved out of the Dallas Brown Girls office (which we were blessed to operate in rent-free for three years) so that the restaurant next door could expand. We put our supply closet in storage because it needed to be protected since it houses delicate items like pointe shoes, tights, leotards, and costumes that we send out to dancers in need. It was a convenient situation because the storage unit was centrally housed for local pickups and drop-offs.⁣ ⁣⁣ Due to our friend COVID landing in March, we hadnt visited the unit in weeks up until May, where we found our storage closet ruined with mold and water damage from what looked like days of rain and flooding. During this time, there was a massive influx of donations by people like YOU. YOU didnt even know what we were going through. We were overwhelmed and stuck on what to do. ⁣ ⁣ Without going into too much detail, know: We lost a lot in the flooding, but because of people like YOU, we gained it all back at least fivefold. In July, we secretly licked our wounds, packed up, and moved operations to Fort Worth, Texas (our Founders hometown/BIG city) and began to rebuild. We are 100% operational again, better than ever, and local girls can now make an appointment to come by and shop our closet. Tights, leotards, shoes, dance bags, and masks are ready and waiting for them. For free. And that was all YOU!
