There are a number of ways an unhealthy gut might manifest itself. Here are seven of the most common signs: 1. Upset stomach Stomach disturbances like gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and heartburn can all be signs of an unhealthy gut. A balanced gut will have less difficulty processing food and eliminating waste. 2. A high-sugar diet A diet high in processed foods and added sugars can decrease the amount of good bacteria in your gut. This imbalance can cause increased sugar cravings, which can damage your gut still further. High amounts of refined sugars, particularly high-fructose corn syrup, have been linked to increased inflammation in the body. Inflammation can be the precursor to a number of diseases and even cancers. 3. Unintentional weight changes Gaining or losing weight without making changes to your diet or exercise habits may be a sign of an unhealthy gut. An imbalanced gut can impair your body’s ability to absorb nutrients, regulate blood sugar, and store fat. 4. Sleep disturbances or constant fatigue An unhealthy gut may contribute to sleep disturbances such as insomnia or poor sleep, and therefore lead to chronic fatigue. The majority of the body’s serotonin, a hormone that affects mood and sleep, is produced in the gut. So gut damage can impair your ability to sleep well. 5. Skin irritation Skin conditions like eczema may be related to a damaged gut. Inflammation in the gut caused by a poor diet or food allergies may cause increased “leaking” of certain proteins out into the body, which can in turn irritate the skin and cause conditions such as eczema. 6. Autoimmune conditions It’s thought that an unhealthy gut may increase systemic inflammation and alter the proper functioning of the immune system. 7. Food Intolerance It’s thought that food intolerances may be caused by poor quality of bacteria in the gut. Se casaron en Tandil, en ese campo que los vio crecer, y después de la ceremonia, en presencia de todos sus seres queridos, decidieron plantar un árbol. ¿Por qué plantar un árbol? Quisieron dejar plasmado su amor en un momento concreto. Plantar ese árbol significó para ellos, mostrarle al mundo que ya estaban listos para empezar esa vida de a dos y ese árbol sería su inspiración para siempre: “Hoy, como los árboles, salimos al mundo a vivir las heladas del invierno y los calores agobiantes del verano. Pero también vamos a vivir las tardes de la primavera y la aventura de ver caer las hojas en otoño. Nuestra semilla, nuestro amor, salía al mundo para convertirse en árbol que de frutos”. Manu y Tobi plantaron juntos su semilla y coronaron ese momento con un fuerte abrazo lleno de lágrimas (de las lindas), que fue su primer riego. Whether you’re styling your own home or putting ideas and props together for a photoshoot, whenever I am asked what is most important when styling for a campaign or for a space, I always come back to one thing- because this one thing is the very thing that will differentiate your work from someone else’s- and that is to do the hard work of getting to know yourself. Ok- what do I mean by that? I don’t mean that everything you love will necessarily work with every project or space you work on. But what I do mean is the one thing that I know you have that is so different from everyone else are your experiences in this world. You see the world differently than everyone else and that is your secret weapon, no matter what creative field you work in. Being able to channel your story- and understand why you love the things you love without judgement of yourself- will give shape to your creative voice. So often I find myself enamored by the work of someone else, comparing my work to theirs- and I want to take their ideas and successes as my own. How can I do something just like them because people seem to love it?! This is where discouragement and burnout begin. But what stops the scroll for you? For me- it’s when I see something quirky or unusual, yet still makes sense. Something I may have already seen, yet done in a totally new and fresh way and that shows a piece of who the creator is. I’ll give you some personal examples, DM me for more: - I used to love sifting through Vogue and W magazine at all the high fashion ads when I was younger. When I am planning a shoot with a model- whether bridal based or even just a lifestyle shoot- I always go back to those older Vogue magazines to channel ideas for hair and makeup. I will almost never look at what other people have done within that genre of whatever I am shooting because I love bringing that part of my childhood back in and integrated into the story I am telling. - For interiors or hotels, I always incorporate pieces that I have had from my home growing up. There is something grounding about using an older more personal piece when placing next to a bunch of new, more trendy pieces. - @veronicarogers_ on Instagram

FUNCTION PRICING vs DINE-IN PRICING . We’ve had a lot of enquiries lately regarding functions at @silverpearlvenues .... 30ths , 40ths and engagement dinners....... , and whilst many understand the logistical difference between the two offerings, there are some that are slightly still unclear, so we thought we’d help outline some of the key differences . We’ll use the analogy of perhaps a FLORIST for example..... if you walk into their shop and buy whatever bouquet they have on offer that day, it’ll be a certain price. . But say, instead of 1 bouquet, you needed 40 bouquets for next week. . They would have to start their process of sourcing with their supplier, ordering the stock and materials, QC’ing the stock, organising the extra staff required to make 40 bouquets , timing the deliveries to arrive just in time to maintain freshness ..... not to mention the client wanted a special card on the bouquet so we are talking with another vendor to co-ordinate when we can have that to make sure the timing is right for the client.... 🥵I mean, that’s just the tip of the ice berg. . Clients want to have a FUNCTION for a reason! So please look over these slides and familiarise yourself with some of the core differences. Please respect that a lot of hours of planning and man power go into your function, not to mention the added extras too, so whilst the pricing may seem “high” at initial thought, the VALUE of what you’re getting is much higher! . I wanted to share my extreme minimalist wardrobe. If you are looking to downsize I hope this can be of some help. I tend to stick with natural fabrics such as linen, cotton, tencel etc, and mostly neutral/earthy tones. The most important thing for me is function & comfort, and having a balanced wardrobe. ☕️ RECIPE BELOW — Is it cliché to say that I drank my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season this weekend? 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ I first shared this recipe on the blog back in 2014…6 years ago!! Since that time, it’s been shared, made, and loved by hundreds of thousands of people. This weekend, it was time to refresh the photos. And, of course, throw on a sweater in 90 degree weather…gotta get that fall vibe captured. While I did that, I decided to research the original PSL. 😱 Did you know that Starbucks originally created this drink back in 2003. That means anyone younger than 17 has never known fall time without a PSL. 🤯 Also, did you know that a 16-ounce PSL from Starbucks has over 50 grams of sugar. WOAH baby! That is A LOT of sugar!!! The homemade version, in my opinion, is so much tastier. Here’s how I make mine… Homemade PSL * 1/2 cup black coffee,  your favorite brewed coffee * 3/4 cup whole milk or milk of choice: almond, cashew, coconut, etc. * 2-3 TB pumpkin puree * 1-3 TB pure maple syrup, sweeten according to your taste preference * 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice * 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1. Brew your coffee. 2. Then heat the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Once warm, use an immersion blender or coffee frother to froth the spiced milk. 3. Pour the spiced milk into a mug, followed by the coffee. Is it just me or does everything feel more uncertain recently? I’ve been leaning into trust in my life more than ever before. But in reality, uncertainty is the nature of life. Nothing is ever promised or 100% certain. As humans, we really have much less control than we think. But here’s the thing I keep coming back to, “When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life.” - Eckhart Tolle But so then why do we fear such an inherent part of being human? Why do we fear something that also opens us up to so much growth and possibility? Why do we waste so much of our time worrying about something we can’t avoid? At the core, we fear uncertainty because we lack the life skills to navigate through it. Recognized as the mind’s negativity bias, we doubt our capacity to cope with the unexpected and we exaggerate events to the detriment of our wellbeing. Especially with all the recent stress, we want to know what the imminent future holds in store for us. BUT the truth is, the security we crave for is all but an illusion. As modern humans we’re faced with uncertainty in our intimate relationships, volatile economies, uncertain job security, weather fluctuations and health concerns. So how can we embrace the unexpected without the flood of emotions ensuing? To accept uncertainty in our lives requires a change in perspective. We must bow to the intrinsic forces of life instead of oppose them. However uncomfortable it may seem, we surrender to the natural order of events by leaning in to our fears and insecurities. Remain present in your body when anxiety threatens your emotional wellbeing. Choose a proper time to examine the motivation for your anxiety. “If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your own estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” Most importantly this is a practice, like building a muscle. The vital lesson is to expose yourself to uncertainty in order to build your tolerance to it. Storage Space 📦 For day 3 of our Child Sized Spaces mini series I would like to show you how we store and organize all of our materials! We Iive in a small apartment so we have limited space and we need to be organized and maintain order. We keep all of our materials in this closet, organized in clear bins - 3 big bins (54 qt) and 3 small bins (12 qt) more exactly - and one hanging organizer (I was inspired by @sonnysmontessori for this item). They contain the following: 1 big bin for crafts materials 1 big bin for trays and baskets 1 big bin and 1 small bin for toys 2 small bins books 1 hanging organizer for various items All toys that are not loved or that are outgrown are donated or sold on market place. Besides what you see stored here we have the materials on our shelf, around 7-8 toys (that we rotate weekly), her book displays (where we have out 8-10 books and rotate them every week or 2 weeks) and our “permanent” items - the @jookirocks music player, the stuffed toys basket, the @holztiger_uk basket, the @lego blocks and the @lovevery play tunnel. We only organize this closet when Eva is not around and she doesn’t have access to it. 🌿🍃 HOW NOT TO KILL YOUR PLANT ON HOLIDAYS 101 This might be a bit overdue, but I wanted to make sure that the system works before sharing it! 🤓 And guys, I’m happy to share that… This has worked wonderfully with the entire family of 15 plants for a good MONTH-long holiday! 🌈 - 💦 SELF-WATERING system: use a long cotton rope and cut it into multiple pieces, with one end in a container full of water, and the other end dug into the soil. Tips: for plants that require less water, make little knots on the rope, it’ll dispense less water. For larger plants, have several pieces of rope connected to it, so that they get water more evenly. You can also adapt the quantity of water they get by placing the container of water higher than the plant (more water) or lower (for less water). - 🌳 ENVIRONMENT: put them away from direct sunlight, and group them if possible: this will create a humid microclimate. - ☀️ PHOTOSYNTHESIS: wipe the larger leaves before leaving, so that that don’t collect dust and they have access to more light. (this is actually a good thing to do on a regular basis!) Yesterday I shared my pantry organisation. The Mini-Mood in today’s post is a round up of all the key products I’ve used which are all super affordable and from @kmartaus or @ikeaaus Here’s how I’ve used each – sorry, it’s a long one! So scroll down to the particular product or products you want to know more about! Variera Boxes: I’ve grouped pantry essentials into these and find the uniform look of the boxes make the space neater. These boxes come in two sizes and are so versatile. I’ve also used them in the bathroom and to organise crafts for the kids. 3 Tier Shelf: I’ve organised cans and bottles on these by height to create a pretty display. I have two side-by-side, but if you have deeper shelves you could do them from back to front, but you’d need to elevate the back one so the tiers are accessible. Round Turntable: These aren’t in my pantry, but have been previously and currently are in my kitchen cupboards. Particularly great for making corners accessible. 10 Piece Avanti Flip-top Set: I actually have the Oxo Pop containers which I got for a steal from Costco earlier in the year (keep an eye out, they may come back!). In the Mood I’ve included Avanti brand ones which are affordable and have great reviews. Clear containers like this make it easy to see when you need to refill or restock. 5.6L Glass Jars: I’ve used these to store my 3 kitchen essentials which I have in bulk – Rice, Flour and Sugar. Good size, and again they’re transparent so easy to see when you need a top-up. Kuggis Box and Insert: I’ve used these to store excess tableware that I didn’t want exposed to dust, and to reduce the look of cluttered shelves. I’ve also dedicated two of them to my cake decorating equipment and utilised the compartments of the insert for this (swipe across to see what I mean). These boxes are typically used to organise cables and attachments. Sortera 60L Waste Sorting Bin: This is actually for sorting waste but were the perfect height for my bottom shelf and to store all my bulk items and refills. They are stackable & utilise the floor space while protecting all the items from dust and insects. I also store bottles on top of them, so no gap is wasted. - @moodcollectiveau on Instagram

Ahhhh guys, I know this isn’t earth shattering, but hear me out ‘cause I needed a win today 😂. Adding just this little frame of black to the windows has me one step closer to my vision of a “warm Scandinavian” studio space! I have curtains but not a rod (because that’s my life these days 🥴) which will add SO much, and then the majority of the warmth will be in shelving to the right (and I’ll remove the little white shelf). The key I’ve found to making a minimalist approach to design not feel too sparse is to “add” to the space through structure, architecture and paint, not items. When these empty, I wash the container and leave by my front door to put in the car and take with me to Whole Foods, where I can get the containers weighed at customer service and then just fill directly at the bulk section. Well... it’s been a whirlwind to say the least. It’s so crazy to witness how fast so many major things can change in such a short amount of time. We hope you and the people around you are safe and have still been able to connect, serve and love each other from afar. We’ve been getting many messages and emails asking if we will be reopening next week. We will not be. We are remaining closed until further notice out of our continued caution and concern for the health of our community. We understand this may be frustrating for some, as there are such polarizing and differing opinions coming to surface on what has been going on. We personally are still choosing to take this seriously and do not want to risk gambling with anyone’s wellbeing for the sake of business.
