Will photographed this black rhino using our camera trap system with two off-camera flashes. Im so very proud to get to announce were finally part of the Fujifilm family! Today @fujifilmx_us announced their new Creators program, which has such an amazing and diverse group of photographers. You can see us all in the link in my bio, and here: https://fujifilm-x.com/en-us/home-creators/ If Ive gotten to hang out with you in the last nine years or so, you probably saw me with one Fujifilm camera or another. It started with the x100, and moved to the Xpro1, and from there Ive had so many different Fujifilm cameras I cant remember them all. But they were never our main cameras for weddings. We had Canon for 10 years, and then Nikon for another several years. We just didnt feel like any mirrorless camera could do what we needed them to do with how hard and how fast we shoot at a wedding. But when the Xpro3 came out last year, I finally was able to say goodbye to dSLRS for good. But @erinchrisman wasnt there yet, so we kept our Nikons. But with the new XT4, @erinchrisman found a camera that she loves. Ive never seen her take so many photos...at weddings, and just around the house of Roxy. That makes me so happy to see. If anyone has questions about Fujifilm cameras, or just cameras in general, please let me know in the comments below. 2020, no matter how weird or devastating it has been for all of us photographers, at least has given us a chance to rethink what really matters in our work and what we want to spend the rest of our lives photographing. Its going to get better, and were going to have a renewed enthusiasm to show what we care about with our photos. Axolotl. Axolotl?? AXOLOTL!! These neotenic salamanders are classified as Critically Endangered in the wild. They were discovered in the canals outside of Mexico City, and pollution is driving them to extinction, BUT somewhere in the mountains of Montana, there are lakes that never dry up and that have no fish in them, so these salamanders never have to grow up. From Wikipedia Axolotls are unusual among amphibians in that they reach adulthood without undergoing metamorphosis. Instead of developing lungs and taking to the land, adults remain aquatic and gilled. They are also perhaps the most-studied amphibian because they have incredible regenerative abilities. They can re-grow arms, legs, tails, eyes, and organs, including parts of their brains! The same lake youve seen in a few recent shots from is where I found these guys. I paddled out with my surfboard, goggles, and GoPro, and I saw dozens of these amazing creatures. If you want to learn more about these little wonders I highly recommend you look up the article in Scientific American called Biologys Beloved Amphibian--the Axolotl--Is Racing toward Extinction. I feel so lucky to have had a chance to swim with them. This is a replica skull of Dilophosaurus, a well-known dinosaur thanks to Jurassic Park. While this dinosaur was shown in the movie as being quite small, Dilophosaurus was actually the largest land animal of its time. As part of this reporting project, more than 30 journalists from Asia and Africa investigated the illegal trade of the worlds most trafficked mammal - the #pangolin. Pangolins are small, solitary, largely nocturnal mammals known for their distinctive, armadillo-like appearance. The animal and their scales are smuggled through India’s northeastern states to Myanmar and then onto China and other countries, reported Sahana Ghosh. Tamil settlements in Manipur and their relatives in other states form a crucial link in this chain. Meet Lythronax Argestes, the King of Gore, and newest member of the Tyrannosaur family unveiled yesterday at the Natural History Museum of Utah. Paleontologists have spent the last 4 years digging this specimen up and it has completely changed our understanding of Tyrannosaurs in prehistoric North America. At 24 feet long and standing 8 feet tall at the hip, this dinosaur was a little smaller than T. Rex and predated it by 10 million years. This dinosaur would have lived 80 million years ago at the end of the Late Cretaceous period when North America was covered largely by a shallow inland sea. There are over 1 million acres of fossil bearing rock from this time period in southern Utah with only 10% of it having been explored. With 12 other species of dinosaur found in the same location waiting to be named maybe its worth heading to Utah for your next fossil find! - @paleontology on Instagram

They are most likely going to harvest as many sharks as possible for their fins and any other fish they can pack in their hulls. Even if they dont enter the official Galapagos Zone, the marine life travels in and out of that area as a major route of migration. That many fishing vessels will cause serious damage to the population of sharks and must not be allowed to happen. There are also large amounts of plastic bottles suspected to be from the Chinese vessels are washing up on shores to add salt to the wound. While trekking to Survival Beach I climbed a rock to take a photo of the next beach, Peña Martinica Beach, when I came upon this Iguana who just stood still and posed for my photo.
