Art and emotion are so intrinsically connected. My voice is a direct line to any emotion living within. I was apprehensive at first to share any of the performances from this past “Sunday Service” because of how tender and vulnerable they are, but I know that part of my journey as an artist is to be honest with emotion and as I tap into and release my own, I give others permission to do the same. Our best friend’s son left us far too soon this past March. There’s a lyric in this song that reminded me of the deep pain of our loss. Grief is interesting isn’t it, how it releases whenever and however it desires. Fam, @roomandboard just upgraded our whole life! I partnered with them to help furnish the living room in our new apartment, and it has become my favorite room in the house. I love it even more than the kitchen! And that says a whole lot! This sofa is the only place I want to nap, read, watch movies, relax, and nurse the baby. It’s that comfy! I chose a light color for the sofa, despite having a messy toddler, but it works because the fabric is so forgiving and durable. Happy Monday! Well, I guess it’s about time that I do an introduction. As much as I love sharing on IG I am finding it hard to write about myself. I’m not necessarily a private person, but I’m just not quite sure where to start. I am a wife, mother of two (under two) and a business owner. I am blessed with a wonderful family and group of friends. I live just outside of Washington D.C., where I’ve been my whole life. Most days I barely have time to sit down and am literally ALWAYS tired, but as any mom will tell you, it’s worth it. This year I struggled more than ever with my work/life/mom balance. How can I do all of this? Do I even want to run a business? Do I really want to work at all? Do I want to be an event planner? Stay with me, I have a point! I have realized that the answer to these questions is YES, and that is because I truly love events. Truth be told, the pandemic postponed or cancelled every single event I had scheduled in the D.C. area. What was going to be a fantastic fall turned into nothing, and I know that is true for many. Some days, I wanted to give up. It took one recent small event in NYC to give me the boost and excitement I needed — that rush you get from being on site at an event is like no other. Heres what I learned from the women I portrayed over the past 2 years; the art of looking good has nothing to do with looking ageless: it’s not about the pursuit of youth, being wrinkle-free, having the latest haircut and hair color to cover your greys. Nor is it about following societys ’anti-aging’ rules that want us to believe that we should look younger than we are. ⁣ There’s a difference between getting older and growing older: at 45, I feel more free and youthful than I did 15 years ago. Not only that, when I look back at pictures, I prefer the way I look now. Most of its down to; - stressing and caring less - enjoying life differently - doing what I want most of the time - listening more closely to my heart - eating well (ish) as often as I can - forgiveness, acceptance and letting go ⁣ And some of it is down to the superficial stuff: hair, skin, nails, brows. I love to take care of myself in a good way. As with all things in life, when it comes to our beauty routine, its the small things done well that make the difference. I needed to take a bit of hiatus from social media to focus on life, but I have finally come to the realization that my life nor our world are going to calm down anytime in the near future. what I eat in a day 🖤⚡️ disclaimer: I am in no means saying you should eat exactly like me, it is super important to listen to your own body and cravings 🤍 but if you are looking for yummy recipe ideas, you are at the right place😊 PRE WORKOUT: Cantaloupe smoothie - 1 cup cantaloupe, 1 banana, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 scoop vital proteins unflavored, 4 ice cubes. I wake up early to workout, so I don’t like eating anything heavy. Sometimes if my workout is low intensity I will do it fasted, but want to make sure I’m fueled properly for my more high intensity ones! BREAKFAST: Avocado toast on @traderjoes multigrain sourdough with a side of berries. I mashed my avocado with some chopped spinach for extra greens and the juice of a lime, & topped with everything but the bagel seasoning & hemp seeds. SNACK #1: My daily coffee & a handful of cherries. I use nespresso coffee and made my own cinnamon almond milk foam today with almond milk, cinnamon, and coconut sugar in the blender 😍 LUNCH: Poke bowl- Quinoa, arugula, cucumber, edamame, mango, cherry tomatoes, seared tuna, sesame seeds topped with homemade dressing: 1 tbs tamari, 1 tbs sesame oil, 1 tbs honey, salt and pepper. SNACK #2: @traderjoes pita crackers and hummus DINNER: @eatbanza pasta with @raoshomemade red sauce, topped with sautéed broccoli I and mushrooms. On the side, crostini bruschetta: 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 2 chopped garlic cloves, 6 chopped basil leaves, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper and stir. Spoon the mixture into a crostini (bought them premade at Whole Foods) and top with balsamic glaze. PLUS a gallon of water!! (4 hydroflasks) Hydration is 🔑 for your health! Have you heard of em? ⠀ They were one of the first jewelry brands to take the online jewelry world by storm. Since launching nearly 5+ years ago theyve... ✔️ 5x their revenue growth year after year ✔️ had a product waitlist totaling 40,000 people ✔️ created lifelong customers ⠀ You know why? ⠀ Its because their brand story and values are SO rooted in their marketing that I can FEEL it. in this pic, i was pregnant, but had no idea yet! my last few days of an old way of being - before, to my surprise a few days later, things shifted forever. 💕 (i think we can ALL relate to that concept now, 60+ days into covid lockdowns!) it was a really busy work weekend for me - three private events, one of them out of town - and i was lucky to have this special moment in time captured by @a.e.s.t.h.e.t.1x, who was taking photos at @coachcalie’s event. - the most common question people ask me these days is “how does the baby respond to sound healing?” while it’s hard to be sure what exactly (if anything) she is actually “responding” to when i do feel her move, for months, whenever i played sound healing instruments, i felt nothing from her. zero movement, zero response, zero indication of any impact. maybe the sound baths were putting her to sleep? 🤔 finally, last week, as i started teaching my remote class for @wanderlust.tv, she began to move. she moved and wiggled and danced throughout the entire class...while i played the hapi drum, the gong, the bowls, the tuning forks, the chimes...i was so surprised and it was such an incredible feeling! so if you peek during these next weeks of Soundology live streams and see me smiling, that may be why. 😉 we are upgrading our mic and AV equipment to bring a better experience to you...hope to connect with you online soon! - @peacelovesoundology on Instagram

This apartment is a luxurious 5 BHK sprawled across 3,800-square-feet on Singapores Arcadia Road—a heritage area with a lush canopy of trees, some of which are more than 100 years old. The clients—a family of four—had a fairly simple brief: the home had to be glamorous. With entertaining being a part of their profession and culture, they wanted a stylish space where they could comfortably have guests over. # ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With the condo nestled amid plush greenery, the design team—represented by architect and interior designer, Nidhi Jain (@nids_design_studio)—didnt have to look too far for inspiration. With a strong belief in the idea that good design should adapt to the environment and stand the test of time, the team set to work. We generally start our design process by creating a story from the start of the house, leading into different spaces, until the last corner of the house. The whole idea was to use the natural beauty as an inspiration in our design concept, explains Jain. And while the house had good bones, everything from the furniture, art to accessories was custom-made to create a glamorous interior. With Singapore being one of the first countries to be affected by the pandemic, the team fast-tracked the entire process and pushed the client to move in once the major architectural work was done. A week later the lockdown was announced; the project was finally completed last month. CHOOSE FAITH OVER FEAR I’m honestly not sure how far we are into stage 4 lockdown now? I’m just trying to keep going with the flow, and maintain a sparkly positive mindset. I’ve stopped reading the news and putting negativity into my mind, but still finding that sneaky “fear monster” attempting to slip into my thoughts with doubts and fears. It’s been a good reminder to simply take a moment to be still, breathe and choose faith over fear. Fear is a perception, it’s False Evidence Appearing Real. Some of the fear and doubt that I’ve been experiencing lately has been around setting up my new business. If I had’ve known exactly how challenging the start-up phase would be, I may not have done it, but I am sooo glad I forged faithfully forward with my hopes and dreams (without a clue of what lays ahead) When I stop and remember my “why”, I suddenly feel calm, confident and centred. My courage kicks in, and my passion and purpose-driven mission is reignited... to remind every woman and girl that she is WORTHY. To help her to know exactly who she is, what she stands for, and what she wants to say. I am in absolute awe of all the incredible women in business out there bringing their vision to fruition to the world. To every unique boss lady out there... I salute you! Being a Mom is the greatest gift and the most challenging thing I have ever done. Every day I’m mixed with emotions and riding the highs and lows of motherhood. Am I doing enough for him? Spending enough time with him? Working on milestones enough for his hearing loss? Giving him the best nutrition possible (refuses any milk but Breastmilk-and I weened two months ago), the list goes on. Expectation vs Reality • REAL TALK: I wish I could say I always looked like this first photo on wedding day. Good hair, a cute outfit, and perfectly relaxed. But more times than not, this is nowhere near the truth! | Hello World So today is our unlocked day in France and it’s also the Estelle’s day on our calendar 📅. It will remind me a special time... But now it’s time for HOPE & CONFIDENCE. What’s about that crazy time, does it give a sense to the future, does it give a sense to love? will it give us a chance to live meaningfully? I tried to answer to these questions during last few weeks. To all these questions, I just find me. Estelle a woman of 43 years old, I have been a model, a dancer, a personal health care, I have work in so many industries. I graduated with an advanced degree in change management and organization. But for the people knowing my background behind the feed. I love life, challenge and human being. I’ve done my first wedding at sixteen years old! In 2007 I planed to go to Washington DC where my family is, to make a cake designer or floral designer school. Instead of this I choose to get married because love is all!!! After I worked on a project in Cameroon where my parents come from. It was about opening a wedding venue, I worked hard on the architecture design... on materials & details to have the best of the best. But because of political troubles at the borders we decided to stop the project. So I come back to normal life very confortable, but inside of me something felt of even if I was grateful to save children from the cancer, mothers or manage personal health team. Where life is? I have the answer deep inside me. During all my life I made something around life, and people. It gave me the opportunity to have great skills. Sometimes we don’t see what’s really for us, sometimes we want to stay confortable. As I said in my last story, I choose differently, I will be available differently, what the meaning of this? Una pista de nuestro NUEVO PROYECTO!!! Aunque todavía no me dejan desvelarlo os doy una pista con esta foto.... Durante el confinamiento fueron meses muy complejos para nosotros, con mezcla de sentimientos, alegres por el nuevo embarazo, tristes y desesperantes por la situación sanitaria, general del país y en particular lo que afectaba a nuestra empresa y trabajadores, también esa necesidad de ayudar que sentimos, ya que teníamos los medios disponibles y podíamos hacerlo.... pues a todo eso le añadimos, la ejecución de este proyecto que llevábamos tiempo desarrollando pero que dio un giro durante el confinamiento a un proyecto más personal donde todo lo hacíamos Alvaro (es el que está con la camara) y yo, algo más casero pero con más ilusión y cariño. Porque en momentos difíciles hay que tener metas ilusionantes y esta claramente ha sido uno de los proyectos más bonitos que hemos hecho, que aunque ha sido mucho trabajo (no era consciente cuando empezamos), espero que el resultado, os encante! Dear Durham, Thank you! Your support during these last two weeks – with curbside purchases at Pizzeria Toro and through gift card purchases – has been nothing short of incredible. It means more to us than you can imagine. Please know that it is your support that has enabled us to continue to pay for our team’s group health plan – which feels more critical now than ever – and to keep part of our staff on payroll. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please know that we have been taking the utmost precautions since Mayor Schewel’s initial stay-at-home order. Initially, we hired Cintas to professionally clean our restaurants, and every day we follow a set of protocals – in keeping with the CDC guidelines – to keep our employees and customers safe. We do the following every day: take the temperature of all staff upon arrival to work, allow only essential staff in the space, wash and sterilize hands upon each re-entry, maintain proper social distancing in our work areas, wear gloves for every step of the food prep and take-out process (including folding boxes), and avoid all hand contact with our guests. We have been, and will continue to, do everything in our power to maintain the safest working environment possible for our team and our guests. We will continue to serve the Durham community for as long as is allowed, and for as long as we and our amazing team feel that we can do so safely. It also brings us great joy to see you each evening, even if it is at a six-foot distance. The first time the kitchen island has been surrounded by people in a very, very long time (in masks, of course). Was wonderful, but such a tease, and now all I can think about is having parties again and inviting strangers over for dinner like the old days. After so many quiet hours spent with the grain-free doughs over the past few months, sharing them has been such a joy. I really love designing things. A table spread, a branding suite, a bedside table. An event, an arrangement, my insta stories. I have roots is the floral industry, a degree in Graphic Design, and the ambition to express something with what I do. This mix of inspirations can be confusing at times, as I figure out what to pursue, but I’m in it for the journey, and I’m thankful that it brought me here. I really love designing things,- and being able to do that with pretty blooms is such a huge advantage. I want to do something with this space, and I’m not sure what yet.
