Does this transformation look backwards to you? Often the shredded look is what is always put out to be the transformation.. you can’t see my abs in the right pic and my arms aren’t quite as defined. Usually the transformation posted is “down 30lbs” not “up 30lbs”. There are days I do feel the urge to shred down a bit more, some days I get in my head and wonder if I look “fit” enough to be a trainer, criticize myself unnecessarily... but this body is full of energy, has hit a few PR’s recently, enjoys drinks with friends, SLEEPS WELL, and eats lots of pizza with no guilt... something I couldnt say about last summer when I was shreddy. Shreds are so fun and it’s fun pushing the limits and competing if that’s what you’re into... but it’s all about your priorities and what makes you happiest at the time.. dont get down on yourself for how much space you take up during different times of your life. I’m having the time of my life training people, lifting heavier than I ever have, and exploring my new pizza-heaven city. Don’t let society determine progress and don’t limit progress to what the scale says/things you can see. How is your relationship with yourself? With food? With others? Your body. However, I rarely ever seen turkey that is fattier than 93/7 at the store and I never buy beef leaner than 85/15 because otherwise it gets too expensive. The first pitch of the new Baseball season was near, we were cleaning off the yellow café chairs in Wicker Park, and our team was preparing new seasonal dishes throughout the family of restaurants we’ve been so proud to build over the last 22 years. Then life as we know it changed, and the world turned upside down. As a restaurant group, we’ve spent the past several weeks making important decisions on what seems to be a daily basis. We’ve been busy talking with our government representatives, civic leaders, and other restaurateurs around the country to try and make the best choices for our committed team and loyal guests. This is an unprecedented time in our history. As the severity of Covid-19 continues to escalate in Chicago, we must prioritize the safety of our guests and our staff. As an example I cooked the easiest meal ever (rice and chicken) 😁 Here is what you need to do (given amount of each ingredients is weighed before cooking): 1. 🔺 CARBS - basmati rice 40g (you can replace basmati rice with brown rice, sweet potato (here 160g), whole grain pasta, quinoa or buckwheat), 2. 🔺 PROTEIN - chicken breast 130g (you can also cook chicken thighs, beef, any white fish, salmon or if you are a vegetarian you can have chickpeas, pinto/black beans, lentils, edamame or tofu), 3. 🔺 VEGETABLES - green asparagus 150g (can be replaced with broccoli, lettuce, green beans, spinach, kale, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper or any other green vegetable of your choice), 4. 🔺 HEALTHY FATS - avocado 50g (instead you can have nuts (30g) , olive oil, coconut oil (one tbs) or if you go for salmon as your protein you can skip this step). . The whole lunchbox is 371 calories ✔️ . This is my usual meal I have 3 times at work (I eat 3 lunches, one every 3 hours). If you eat only one lunch, you should increase the amount of each ingredient in order to fuel your body with enough food throughout the whole day 🤗 They key to success is to eat better and healthier, not less. 💫 𝟯 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗽 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 💫 ___________________________ 🎃 Hey all! It’s October already?! I thought i would give you all a 𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐏𝐎 update! 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝟯?! Where has the time gone @adamsawyerplasticsurgery ?!😆😍 ————————————————————— ✨ Swelling has slowly began to reduce. - Not massively, but enough for me to notice! - ✨ Pain is a 0/10 I stopped pain relief after day 3/4. - ✨ I’m now able to comfortably sleep on my side. - ✨ I am able to take my dog on a very short walk. - Once i can stand straight i will re-active my gym membership! - ✨ Coughing & laughing still causes my belly to feel tight & tingly. - ✨ Taking off my compression to wash & dress feels very weird. Still very tight & i feel very fragile without my compression on! I also notice if i leave it off for too long after a shower the swelling kicks in very quickly. - ✨ I have experienced NO infections & NO openings of the scars.👏 - ✨ I have had no issues with my scars rubbing on any of my underwear & clothes. - ✨ I will start my 2nd stage compression garment after week 4. - ✨ Driving is no issue. - My car is automatic so I have it easy. 😂 - ✨ I will be able to start using scar gels to help soften & flatten them! ———————— ❤️ A question i get a lot is: “𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆?” ... The answer is, yes. I have a lot of loose skin on my arms, thighs & breasts! You can definitely see the skin on my arms & legs in this photo! So i would like an arm lift next year, followed by a breast lift. 💕 I think it’s important to address the problem areas first. Mine was my belly. February 2018 • 3 months post getting off the birth control pill • hormones f*%ked • waking up exhausted, napping in the afternoon, constantly fatigued • anxiety through the roof • insomnia • cardio and some light weights • ovarian cysts and insane menstrual pain (in and out of hospital), losing LOTS of hair • not enjoying life because I felt so sh*tty March 2019 • found out a few months prior I have Endometriosis • 1 year into Holistic Healing • supporting my hormones, adrenals and mental health • weight lifting 2x / week 2020 • hormones balanced, in tune with my body • actively controlling my Endometriosis naturally • minimized and absent ovarian cysts • weight lifting 4 x a week • only cardio is walking the dogs • zero anxiety, sleeping 7-8 hours a night • listening to my body and honouring its needs • if I crave something I eat it, otherwise catch me eating protein, fibre and healthy fats at every meal • gluten-free, dairy on occasion • living a BALANCED life, enjoying 🍷 and good company Internal healing isn’t linear. I had so many issues physically and mentally in 2018 and they were not going to change over night. The photos do not show the mental progress I have made during these 2 years and I truly believe my own personal experience has helped me understand more of what my clients are experiencing. I originally wanted to go to school to be a Veterinarian and left because my anxiety was so bad.
