Ketua Dewan Pers, Mohammad Nuh, menyambut dengan rasa suka cita bergabungnya PFI sebagai keluarga baru di Dewan Pers. Menteri Pendidikan 2009-2014 ini mengibaratkan bergabungnya PFI bisa menjadi spectrum penyempurna Dewan Pers. “Jadi ibarat cahaya, (PFI) ini sebagai cahaya putih dengan tingkat clarity paling tinggi, cahaya yang paling terang, dan mampu memberikan pencerahan yang paling kuat”, ucap M. Kyle Smith•RN at UNC ED for over a year•Before I decided to go to nursing school, I had been working in the UNC Emergency Department for 4 years as a medical scribe. While I was working there, I saw that nurses had the most direct impact on patient care and throughput in the Department. Also while I was a scribe, the nurses were an extremely supportive work family to me. I looked up to their work and wanted to be like them! I like when I form a personal bond with my patients or their families-- I feel like in those moments I completely transform a really rough situation into a much more bearable one. It can be hard bringing humanity into the environment of EDs, but when I can I feel like its totally worth it. Involvement with ENA has opened my eyes to the scope of our profession. Making contact with nurses from other EDs and learning about their work lives and personal lives has been invaluable to my own personal development. In 1760, the elder Wessel Wessels arrived in what was then called Attacquas Kloof with his family, and set up home. Some say that it was likely the Wessels family that renamed the valley, Hemel-en-Aarde. What is known for sure, is that old man Wessels was the first European of settler descent to live and farm in the valley. It must have been heavy going and pretty lonely in those days. He probably had a few vines and distilled a little moonshine too. No final project, no cumulative moment of standing in front of a group of singers and musicians to give a downbeat and hear a wall of empathetic sound come back at him. So Jeremy made this. Well - there are many people who made this. Singers Ive worked with for years, like @emmahunton and @ciararenee8 ; @kaitkerrigan , an ambassador for the NYCLU; longtime collaborators on instruments; friends I met in the Philippines or Europe - all performing the closing song from an immersive house party musical that celebrates being deeply present in a physical space. Why I care about being authentically yourself, especially in business. Here I am in this picture, just turned 22 and about to start my career as a Maths Teacher! With no idea that in just few weeks, I was about to become someone I wouldn’t even recognise anymore. I was new & inexperienced so I tried to compensate for it by creating a persona. Imagine me, rarely smiling, never being silly or ever making a joke at school. Stern looking & cold. I thought that the kids would respect & listen to me if I could come across assertive & strict. Because surely my lighthearted disposition & being ‘the real me’ wouldn’t work and I HAD TO play this role to be taken seriously. Ofcourse this was just a story my mind created & it’s not the truth but I really believed it back then. I would even try to dress like the other teachers & not shave so I could look older (can you blame me? My kids thought I was an A-level student & I look like a baby here in this photo too 😂🙈) Spoiler alert: this didn’t work, it was exhausting for my mental health, my classes were a mess, my kids hated me. I hated me. It might sound dramatic but I felt like a part of me was dying and in the end, I had to leave for my own well-being. I couldn’t do it anymore. To test the adaptive design and understand the dynamic processes of sediment movement, a physical stream table model was calibrated to represent the leveed channel condition of the creek and facilitated experimentation with planted creek structures and flow patterns. Then, the team used photogrammetry software to analyze the model, and incorporated the results into refined, digital 3-D models used for community outreach. Als voorzitter is het jouw taak om te allen tijde het overzicht te bewaren en ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen zijn of haar werk zo goed mogelijk uit kan voeren. Daarnaast vertegenwoordig je het bestuur naar buiten toe. Zo ben je verantwoordelijk voor het contact met de Universiteit, de gemeente Rotterdam, de pers en het lange termijnbeleid. Volgend jaar zal de uitdaging niet minder groot zijn, maar des te mooier om deze aan te gaan! Today and tomorrow Ill be posting some past work and a bit of what Ive been up to at Halcyon the past ten months. Ill also use the stories to take you behind the scenes at my studio as I prepare for an upcoming livestream performance.  ….   Slide two is a video excerpt of I Saw a Darkness, an installation I did here at Halcyon. Its a five channel installation—headphones, speakers, and a subwoofer—with each channel playing a unique part of the composition. The piece is for one listener at a time who sits on top of the subwoofer for the roughly four minute audio loop. The source audio I manipulated for the piece was an a cappella performance of the Doxology, a Christian liturgical hymn.   ...   A little more about me: My work is usually in conversation with my early-life immersion in religion and ideology. Home-schooled alongside seven siblings in and out of evangelical Christianity for most of my younger years, I’m keenly familiar with the dangers of tradition and blind belief. Pattern and symmetry— fundamentals of that environment— are still comfortable for me. Years of classical music study and hymn-singing on Sundays made me happy alongside harmony and sentimental musicality, though I rarely utilize any of these without improvisation, reinterpretation, or encouraging some sort of aberration. Not unlike religious architecture, the installations I create demarcate space for focused listening; these sonic havens are meant to conjure spontaneous emotional engagement and meditative pause.    …   Epilogue is the closing exhibition for Halcyon Arts Lab Cohort 3, presented by @halcyoninspires to mark the end of their nine-month residential fellowship. #EpilogueExhibition #halcyoninspires - @_bythepeople_ on Instagram

I was able to present this project in Edison’s Virtual Intern Exposition alongside 70 other interns. Our good friend, and extremely talented winemaker, Rui Madeira was raised and now produces wine in the Douro, whilst also being champion of the lost high-altitude vineyards that lie just south in the Beira Interior region. The scents and smells of these rugged and beautiful landscapes made a powerful impression on Rui from an early age. Today we got our #gravitysake informally judged by a world-renowned Master Saké Sommelier Toshio Ueno! We are honored and humbled for him to taste our saké and for such a positive feedback! He has tasted so many saké from the best breweries around the world so we would’ve been happy with an ‘edible’ rating! Ueno-san has had a major influence on our mission to build a craft saké brewery in LA for us to reach a new demographic and make the freshest #namasake available to the locals. We will continue to polish our craft in producing better and better saké so as not to fail this 2000 year old historical Japanese beverage.
