📍Secretary bird... We where driving along the R712 toward Durban, and I spotted these two building a nest. It was the second time I had ever seen a secretary bird. We watched them for 20 minutes flying back and forth bringing twigs and branches. They are a lot bigger than one thinks. They are truly magnificent birds. Пупий, Пупа и Пупидзэ или три состояния моей дочери👇 . 🖤Пупий Великий Пупий ничего не боится: /лазить на самые высокие стулья, а с них на стол/ /заходить в темноту и прятаться там, затаившись/ /хватать родительские вещи и бежать в укрытие(а там сидеть и хихихать)/ /взбираться по лестнице на второй этаж за доли секунды/ /убегать в неизвестном направлении/ /и ещё много всего/ Единственное, чего боится Пупий, как и все персоны царский кровей, что его отравят. Всегда тщательно изучает, что ему дают поесть и только потом пробует. В среднем с нами, 10-12 часов в сутки. 🖤Пупидзэ Пупидзэ- этакий гопник с Уралмаша. Своими действиями он может заставить вас сделать всё, что он хочет. У Пупидзе левый-коронный, правый-похоронный, то есть начинает с нюней, а заканчивает-истерикой. Пупидзе не любит засыпать вечером, но очень любит тусить по ночам. В среднем, 10-12 часов в сутки. Но в основном-это Пупий-Пупидзэ в одном лице. 🖤Пупа Пупа-самое редкое явление в нашем доме. Пупа-сама нежность, особенно после сна. Пупа обнимает и целует, послушно одевается и сидит в автокресле. Иногда, Пупа даже может съесть весь суп. А, уж, самое невероятное из Пупиных возможностей- спать, не просыпаясь, несколько часов. В среднем, 0,5-1 час в день. . А ещё, дочь сегодня Полторашка. It’s time for fall migration around the Great Lakes! Warblers, hawks, and monarch butterflies are passing through on their way back to warmer habitats. The distance many of them travel never ceases to amaze me! I remember seeing a warbler last year in Peru and wondering if she had ever passed through my backyard over 3,700 miles away. Isn’t nature incredible? It always comes back to connection for me. Despite spanning the greatest distances, we are all so connected! That warbler depends on healthy ecosystems in my backyard and in the lovely forests of Peru that so many wonderful people are working to protect. While I was exploring the area for migrating species I also came across some lovely shorebirds and a juvenile bald eagle that was busy screeching away to a nearby sibling. - @christylfrank on Instagram

A partir del próximo lunes (14 de Septiembre) comienza a realizarse el tour de cerro mauco (cerca de San Felipe). El treking consiste en una caminata que comienza a las 8:30 de la mañana con el objetivo de llegar a a la cima de un cerro dónde se avistan aguilas y Condores. En el recorrido está la posibilidad ver cernícalos, peucos, Chunchos, carpinteritos, loicas, degús, aguiluchos, pequenes, turcas, zorros culpeo y muchas cosas más, además en primavera el cerro comienza a florecer y en la cima se tiene una hermosa vista de la cordillera. Todo interesado contáctenos por dm, al correo o al número que aparece en la pantalla. Son 10 mil pesos la salida (el grupo entero) y para subir el cerro maximo 3 personas, con la opción de no subir el cerro y caminar por un sendero si son más personas. NEW IMAGE “Loon at Daybreak, captured on Ojibway Lake on the edge of the BWCA...if you like it double tap and leave a comment! Image story: I didn’t particularly feel like getting up at 4:30am for the third morning in a row and then paddling several miles before photographing sunrise. I even had another much easier sunrise image scouted that was a short walk from my car, but I felt like the water was calling me and decided to slide my canoe into the water. It was a glass-calm morning, the kind where you almost feel guilty breaking the serenity with the sound of your paddle. Steam was floating over the water, which I knew would burn off once the sun rose. After sunrise I was paddling back to the landing when I noticed a loon hanging out in one of the shaded bays that still had steam on it. I knew it was a long shot, but if the loon was amenable to it, there was a chance I could photograph it in some dramatic light. I was careful to keep my distance at first, but eventually the loon warmed up to me, even popping up out of the water a mere 15 feet from the canoe after one of its dives. Then the sun popped up over the trees, creating the magical backlight I was seeking. My neck and arms we’re starting to get sore from holding my massive medium format camera when the brief moment arrived where the lighting was perfect and the loon decided to put on a show. It’s crazy how life really takes over and I will temporarily forget about social media or the pandemic, and it’s so lovely to have that reset. To keep you all up to date, I had a short visit to Florence, Italy and it was so freeing to explore a new place and its people. I miss it so much. Often seen riding thermals in a wobbly circle, turkey vultures, soar above in search of carrion. Instead of hunting down prey, these birds clean up the countryside by using their noses to find already dead animals (carrion).
