EL DISEÑO DE FÁBRICA Hace varios años compramos una lavadora nueva para nuestra casa, y cuando me la llevaron me dispuse a instalarla. La miré y fue bastante lógico para mí que el cable de energía fuera al enchufe, la manguera de desagüe al orificio que para tal fin estaba en la pared del cuarto de lavado, y la que decía agua caliente, pues al grifo del agua caliente. “No se necesita ser un maestro para instalar esto”, pensé, sintiendo el orgullo de haber hecho un buen trabajo y de haberme ahorrado unos cuantos dólares. Pusimos una ropa dentro, oprimí el botón de Start y el agua empezó a llenar la máquina. De repente la lavadora empezó a sonar mal y a vibrar mucho, no supe que hacer, esperé a ver qué pasaba hasta que de pronto se paró y no funcionó más. De esa experiencia aprendí dos cosas: 1) la primera, que las lavadoras traen un pin que protege el tambor para que este no se dañe durante el transporte. 2) la segunda, que mi razonamiento, aunque me parezca lógico no siempre es correcto, así que lo mejor es consultar con el fabricante porque de seguro él sabe mejor que yo cómo funcionan las cosas. Me di cuenta de que en muchas áreas de mi vida había cometido el mismo error. En mi matrimonio, por once años hice muchas cosas que dañaron a mi pareja, pero yo no sabía lo que estaba haciendo mal ni como arreglarlo porque no leí el manual; nacieron mis 2 primeros hijos y fue sólo cuando llegaron a la adolescencia cuando la rebeldía y el ver en ellos cosas contrarias a las que esperaba me indicaron lo mal padre que había sido. Looking back I feel so proud of how far I have come. When you stop and actually think about what youve made it through as a parent, instead of thinking about what’s challenging now or coming up ahead, it’s actually very liberating. The reactions to immunisations, hospital dashes with tonsillitis every few weeks with Indie... The time she had cold sores in her mouth that nobody could diagnose was probably the worst for me as a parent. I felt trapped. CMPA, reflux, 50,000 medicines and milks for Jude, hernias, a punctured lung, 3 hours of sleep a night, colic, witching DAY 😂 (no such thing as a damn hour), two babies at once, C-section, teething, leaps, IVF, severe sickness, HG scare at 7 weeks and preeclampsia, which was tough to say the least. The swelling, numb hands, bad vision, headaches and being told I needed to visit the opticians. Thank God I knew my body, as I just about prevented a serious seizure and it would have been a different story. Even though it was still a scary premature birth and I was very sick, I do think I still struggle with the birth, but writing helps.Anyway, I’m not saying I’ve had it bad by any means, but I am saying you should write down what you’ve achieved as a parent and person. This is my little unit! So grateful for my three baby boys 🥺😭 and forever grateful @meggrow documented such sacred fresh moments when Kahlil was just a week old! My two oldest are both four years old; my firstborn was adopted while I was 20 weeks pregnant with my second born... and no, I didn’t get pregnant “because we were adopting” 😅 All three of these boys are wanted miracles who have changed me in the most painful, beautiful ways! It’s been such a privilege to document so many other people’s sacred stories, for the last 6 years! As we head into fall I have booked families, branding, maternity, a gender reveal party, and weddings! As of last night I am officially finished with my master’s in school psychology and PPS credential! I’ve been feeling all sorts of emotional and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the first picture is when I first started my program (about 8 months pregnant and I think people thought I was nuts)! The picture on the right was taken yesterday right before my last class. I not only learned how to be a school psychologist during those years, but I also became a mom and juggled nursing while writing reports, chasing a crawling baby with a computer in my hands, MANY late/sleepless nights, and learning to constantly put my little buddy first even if I was stressed out of my mind! Logan and I also grew a ton over this time as his life has been just as crazy as mine with his schooling. Logan has pushed me time and time again when I thought giving up was the only answer and I’m so grateful he saw more in me than I saw in myself at times. I also could not have gotten through it without our family! I’ve been so fortunate that they were always willing to drop everything to help with Dax when I really needed it or give me just the pep talk I needed! So this was such a hard day for me to “let go” As I was dropping them off, they cried and screamed “mama” while reaching their arms out for me. My heart broke and I felt so horrible. It was scary for them to be dropped off at a strange place with all these strangers wearing masks. I felt so awful and I sat in my van while tears started to build up behind my eyes. I messaged their teacher and asked if the boys are okay and if they were able to settle in. A few minutes later I got a message on the @himamaapp !! They were happy and playing with other kids! My heart just fluttered and I felt such an overwhelming feeling of joy🥰 I could not be more grateful for @pacekids and how well they are able to make the boys feel comfortable. Over the span of 72 weeks my life changed drastically from social interactions, to physical demands. I knew many wouldn’t understand how much needed to shift in my life in order for me to step into a role of Mothering Multiples, in addition to three older little ones; neither did I. My commitment to others has been questioned and I’ve gained an immense amount of strength through this phase. It started with 3 goals in mind when I discovered my Triplets’ expectancy: 1. I would do WHATEVER it took to carry them to 36 weeks 2. I would be front row at my daughter’s Preschool Graduation, 4 days before our 36 week date 3. I would share this journey and embrace the challenges ahead They have come to pass and that makes me full. Today I’m more focused and driven than I’ve ever been. I’ve learned that 2 things can happen when going through challenging, lift-altering, either it can MAKE YOU or BREAK YOU! God has provided me peace and a sound mind, as promised. Just like you, ‘I don’t know how I do it!’ It’s the pure strength that Christ has given me and it will carry me as long as I need to wear this crown of Motherhood. & I wear it proudly, while owning my role and living up to my responsibilities. For this pic I draped my favorite maternity dress over my obvious postpartum body, remembering how debilitating it was to carry three in utero and how miraculous it was to feel their squirms all throughout the day. Back when the girls were of similar development, when I couldn’t tell the differences between them and people just saw identical twins. Recently Olivias been so much more chatty, but actually making sense, so at night time now she always says ‘night night mummy’ , she is constantly saying Thankyou and now responding and communicating with me what she wants. She’s dancing and singing clearly to songs and films and she can tell me who she wants, Mummy, Ava... she even calls for her cousins and Luna dog! I am so so proud of her, more than I could ever explain given her developmental delays and she seems to be catching up to her age now. When she says night night my heart melt. But it’s so bittersweet for me to think that Ava may never do it , she may never talk, or call me mummy and tell me she loves me. She tells me with her eyes and her smile and I’m so grateful for that, but it’s one more thing I have to grieve for. Swaddling helps prevent her from flailing her arms and legs, which can trigger her startle reflex and potentially cause her to wake up. A swaddle keeps baby cozy and warm until her internal thermostat kicks into gear. Swaddling, which works well for some babies during their first few weeks, is another soothing technique first-time parents should learn. Proper swaddling keeps a babys arms close to the body while allowing for some movement of the legs. Not only does swaddling keep a baby warm, but it seems to give most newborns a sense of security and comfort. Swaddling also may help limit the startle reflex, which can wake a baby. Heres how to swaddle a baby: Spread out the receiving blanket, with one corner folded over slightly. Lay the baby face-up on the blanket with his or her head above the folded corner. Wrap the left corner over the body and tuck it beneath the back of the baby, going under the right arm. Bring the bottom corner up over the babys feet and pull it toward the head, folding the fabric down if it gets close to the face. Be sure not to wrap too tightly around the hips. Hips and knees should be slightly bent and turned out. Wrapping your baby too tightly may increase the chance of hip dysplasia. Wrap the right corner around the baby, and tuck it under the babys back on the left side, leaving only the neck and head exposed. To make sure your baby is not wrapped too tight, make sure you can slip a hand between the blanket and your babys chest, which will allow comfortable breathing. Make sure, however, that the blanket is not so loose that it could become undone. Babies should not be swaddled after theyre 2 months old. Åh, men snälla rara! Hur gullig kan man vara?! 😍 I ordningen Noah, Minou & Minna. Dem växer alltför fort! Alla över 4kg. 💪🏾 Vi är alla sjuka fortfarande. Det har verkligen varit en tuff vecka. Minou var på akuten (allt gick bra) Noah har varit på bumm och träffat läkare. Han ska nu börja inhalera kortison varje morgon och kväll då han får pressa lite för mycket i sin andning. Allan har blivit sjukare nu än vad han var i början av förkylningen. Att inte kunna ge barnen allt, inte minst när dem är sjuka och ynkliga har varit väldigt jobbigt. Jag fortsätter tjata om hur jobbigt det är att inte räcka till... Men ja, det är förjävligt! Trillingarna är så sjukt synkade, dem vaknar för mesta samtidigt och vill ha mat på en gång samditigt, är trötta samtidigt och vill bäras och sova samtidigt vilket jag tycker gör det ännu mer påtagligt. - @a__triplets on Instagram

With so many new faces following me lately, I figured I would say hello and re-introduce myself! My name is Antonietta and I am a mom of two👨👩👧👦. I am a lash artist, educator and a mindset coach. I help to empower other women in running their own businesses by helping them to become financially independent and stable on their own because who doesn’t love a #bossbabe? I teach women lashes and business to grow their mind and their life to provide the lifestyle that they are ultimately worthy of. I’m always cheering you on, genuinely. 4. I’m an introvert, I love my alone time in silence. It helps me to get grounded. 5. I made my first 10k month less than two years in business with lashes having no idea where I was going with it lol, thank goodness I’ve figured it out ever since.
