Weve got some exciting news to share! We have recently been successful for an Esmee Fairbairn funded project to digitise, catalogue and share with you some never-before-seen photographs from Ealing Studios. ‘Shooting Stars: Behind the Scenes at Ealing Studios’ will look at the photographic collection of Stills Photographer Roy Gough. He photographed some of the biggest stars of the mid 20th century including Sir Roger Moore, Audrey Hepburn, Sir Alec Guinness and Sir Michael Redgrave and worked on well-known Ealing Studios films like The Captive Heart and Whisky Galore! Over the next few months we will be sharing some of these photographs online. This image is of Sir Michael Balcon and Sir Harry Secombe on the set of the comedy-drama “Davy”. Balcon ran Ealing Studios from 1938-1955 and is a legendary figure in the British Film Industry, producing some of Ealing Studios’ most well-known films such as Passport to Pimlico and The Lavender Hill Mob. Who remembers this film? Shortly before his fifth birthday, the Falkner family relocated to Oxford, where he stayed for much of his life. Today we celebrate National Loving Day - a day to remember the landmark 1967 Supreme Court Decision of Loving vs. Virginia striking down laws banning interracial marriage in the United States. The perfectly named Mildred and Richard Loving were arrested, convicted and sentenced to prison, just for being a multiracial couple living together as husband and wife. With the help of the ACLU, they appealed their convictions all the way to the US Supreme Court, winning their appeal and paving the way for multiracial couples to marry legally in all 50 states. 53 years later we are still fighting for racial equality and justice. People in Atlanta and all over the world have taken to the streets to raise awareness and demand change. We will continue to support people and organizations like the ACLU and others working to bring equal economic opportunity, equality in healthcare and education, fairness in policing and criminal justice and protection of voting rights for all people of color. Legendary Events stands with our black and brown family in fighting to make these ideals a reality - NOW. We will also continue to do as we have done for 23 years - help ALL couples celebrate love. father of the study of anatomy in Iran دکتر جمال الدین مستقیمی پدر علم آناتومی ایران بود که هشت پژوهش علمی را در زمینه آناتومی در مجامع جهانی به نام کشورمان ثبت کرد که از جمله آنها اثبات عدم ارتباط بین دو پیاز شامه در مغز می‌باشد که در سال ۱۹۶۵ و در هشتمین کنگره بین‌المللی آناتومی و تشریح در آلمان مورد تصویب و ثبت جهانی قرار گرفت.  از دیگر کشفیات ایشان می توان به پیدا کردن دو رشته عصبی در مغز که یکی از آنها به قطعه پیشانی و دیگری به کپسول خارجی می‌رود اشاره کرد. پیدا کردن طبقه عمقی رباط دلتویید (که در ارتوپدی نقش بسیار مهمی دارد) و ثبت آن در مجامع جهانی از دیگر پژوهش های این مرد علم است. همچنین تهیه مدل‌های بیوپلاستیک در سال ۱۹۶۰ درکشور آلمان برای اولین بار از دیگر کارهای دکتر مستقیمی در دنیا بود. دکتر مستقیمی پس از آن که در سن ۱۸ سالگی مدرسه طب در تهران را به پایان می‌رساند، همراه با یک پزشک آمریکایی و یک پزشک ایرانی از طرف دربار مامور می‌شوند تا تالار تشریح جسد دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران را حتی قبل از ساخت دانشکده بسازند .ماموریت ساخت تالار تشریح در مشهد در سن ۲۵ سالگی به وی واگذار میگردد. سپس بنیان گذاری سالن های تشریح دانشکده‌های علوم پزشکی اهواز، علوم پزشکی ایران، بخش سالن تشریح دانشکده علوم پزشکی ارومیه، مرکز پزشکی شفا یحیاییان تهران، بخش سالن تشریح دانشکده پزشکی بابل را انجام داد. نتیجه این همه تلاش تشریح بیش از ۸۰۰ جسد انسانی به علاوه اجساد حیوانات بی‌شمار است. نتیجه این همه تلاش تشریح بیش از ۸۰۰ جسد انسانی به علاوه اجساد حیوانات بی‌شمار است. دکترجمال‌الدین مستقیمی تالیفات متعددی در زمینه علوم پایه دارد که مشهورترین کتاب ایشان کالبد شکافی است که به دلیل تسلط کامل وی به سه زبان آلمانی، انگلیسی و فرانسه تصحیح کتاب‌های معتبرآناتومی جهان از جمله SO BOTTA و GRAYS ANATOMY را برعهده گرفته که این امر اسباب افتخار جامعه پزشکی ایران می‌باشد.  تندیس وی به عنوان پدر آناتومی ایران درجزیره کیش در سال ۱۳۷۶ نصب و مورد پرده برداری قرار گرفته است. ایشان در تاریخ یکشنبه ۶ آذرماه ۱۳۸۴ در مشهد درگذشت و در این شهر مقدس به خاک سپرده شد. #پدر_علم_آناتومی#جمال_الدین_مستقیمی #آناتومی#آناتومیست#anatomy#anatomist - @anatomy_and_surgery on Instagram
