Blatantly and scientifically impossible, but by bullying and intimidating a qualified scientist with a legal letter, their BS claim can go unchallenged. Sephora saying that they now have a ‘chemicals policy’ and are working towards a ‘chemical-free’ store is sadly, not a joke. And this is especially concerning: ‘Sephora is working with industry partners and suppliers to make sure that safer ingredients are used, and that its suppliers have access to them.’ So essentially, Sephora, a retailer, is telling brands, all of whom use cosmetic scientists and labs when formulating their products, what to do. Instead of just doing some basic due diligence when on-boarding a new brand, they will now be able to bully and control brands that they already sell into removing safe ingredients from their products just because they (Sephora) have decided they ‘may’ cause a problem. And I wonder what suppliers they will push brands towards? Perhaps ones that Sephora may have an interest in? We can only hope that brands push back. And hard. Numbers 23:19 Even in the middle of a pandemic, my dreams are left untouched. I still have full control on how big I dream, how small I dream, my faith in my dream, all that. And I held on to the goals I had for this year. This year I wanted to book another series and a feature film. I prayed for it, wrote it down, spoke it out loud and believed it. Believed it even when it didn’t make sense to believe it. Believed it even when the industry shut down. Believed it even when I got like 5 auditions this entire year. Believed it when depression hit because life was also happening. But God is intentional and God is not going to lie. God would not give us these goals if it wasn’t going to be fulfilled. God will fulfill our dreams and hopes and wishes and God will make it GOOD. And that’s the part we have no control over, the good. We have the dreams but we don’t have God’s mind to create the specifics of the dream to make it GOOD for us. I knew that I wanted to book a series, I knew I wanted it to be a role completely different from Margaret, I knew I wanted it to be a character that excited me. But I had no idea what would make this thing good. God knew the good part. God knew the timing of this to make it good. God knew what I needed to go through personally to be in the mindset and spirit for this good. God knew. The Good Doctor. Thank you to my team who work hard for me and with me! In an effort to bolster South Asian visibility in front of and behind the camera, Reena Singh, Senior Vice President of Current Programming at Twentieth Television, and @rishirajani Rishi Rajani, President of Production and Development at Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions, are launching a mentorship program with The Salon, a collective of South Asian creatives in Hollywood created by literary manager Bash Naran and actor-producers @nikdodani Nik Dodani (Atypical) and Vinny Chhibber (The Red Line). The inaugural mentorship program is slated to kick off in October.The year-long program will be led by Singh and Rajani and will connect aspiring South Asian talent to established members of the entertainment industry.
