We are adding 6 boneless thighs and this is more than what we actually need but this meal freezes great. So, why not do that? Also this pot is too big I know and thats okay this is a Sunday dinner kind of meal which makes me think of my grandmother and this is her pot was her pot so we are going to use it and were going to let this chicken cook till the water disappears and its browning okay while this is starting to brown a little bit were going to do salt and some paprika taste. So however much you like. And its really good on this. It is so good. And were going to cover it back up and let it simmer a little bit longer before we move on to the next step. While the chicken continues to cook, were going to use some chicken bullion cubes. I have five of them here and were going to add them to two cups of water. Then, pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes and then, well dissolve it that way with the fork and well move on. Now, were going to pour that over top of our chicken and let it simmer till its nice and tender. Okay, the chicken is tender and Ive removed it and cut it into some pieces and added it to this bowl. Our next step is to take a half a cup of flour and were going to add it to three cups of milk and were going to whisk. Now, were going to add that to our broth. Were going to stir until its thickened in the consistency that we prefer. Okay that looks about right. Yeah it looks about what we normally have huh? Yep. So now were just going to take it and pour it right over our chicken. Its so good. Its so good. And then we will stir it up. There you go. Im ready for dinner now. Now were talking. And I didnt mention I got this from my mom who I think got it from her mom, my grandmother. We will now be back. Now be back. We will be back. This is going to be amazing. It is. Because this is kind of a staple in our home. We Karens been making this for a lot of years. Mhm. Um so we already know how good it is. We just wanted to share it with you. Thats right. Share the goodness. Yes. And this is our dinner tonight. Mm. Its not dinner time yet. So I actually get a little pre-taste. Which Im excited about. You will be sharing that with me. Yes. Im sure I will. But you can tell this chicken is super tender. And then we have mashed potatoes in here which I absolutely love. Oh its great with the mashed potatoes. And it is definitely still warm because it literally just came out of the pot. So let me let me just taste it just for fun. Okay? Okay. And we did sprinkle a little more paprika on top just for color for yall. Mm. A nice hearty meal. And as always its amazing. Yay. This is a keeper because its been a keeper. Thats right. Its been kept for a lot of years. So, we have had this several times like I said and well have it several more times in the future as well and I hope you enjoy it and try it.
