Y’all don’t understand. Like I had no experience in gardening lol like my sis @leahsimonemusic and her mom inspired me when they started planting their seeds in April so i decided to try the same thing. I was actually nervous to even post the seedlings because i wasn’t sure if they would even survive 😂. Consistency is key. I’m not going to lie i even prayed over my garden before i started planting in April. Gardening has taught me so much. It’s so interesting how most parables Jesus provided were centered around seed and harvesting. Through this new hobby ive picked up, God has been ministering to me every step of the way. It’s interesting when they say to have faith the size of a mustard seed. However the Bible states Matthew 13:32 “Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches. I remember planting the tomato seed and it was sooo tiny yet it produced this huge plant that provides food for the body. I’ve even seen the ants storing up a harvest for the winter, even though i couldn’t eating any of my dang strawberries because the birds kept eating them, i still provided food for nature. When the tomato branches were injured I had to doctor them up with cinnamon and tie them back together. Just so many revelations. One of my favorite is the fact that the Bible says that one plants the seed, the other harvests it but only God can bring the increase. When we as believers witness to others we are only seed planters or harvesters . Only God can change the heart of man. Not us. Just how i can water my garden, keep bugs out, doctor up it’s wounds, but only God can provide sunlight, rain water, oxygen. 🌸🌸🌸 God you the goat. Much love and peace ❤️ - @allie_capo on Instagram

We attended an emergency situation for two ewes surrendered to @kentanimaldefenders who were collapsed in a field. This facility is known to have multiple dead bodies in, animals are severely neglected there and are frequently left to die and rot. Even with authority involvement no action has been taken. On arrival I actually thought that Liberty (the black faced ewe) was dead. We took IMMEDIATE action knowing that they had symptoms of pregnancy toxemia (confirmed) also known as twin lamb disease. Both ewes were collapsed, showing signs of seizures and convulsions, shaking, teeth grinding and an increased respiratory rate along with cold extremities. Both ewes also have injured and painful eyes, both right eyes on them have ulcers and swelling. Libertys eye needs removing due to irreversible damage. Faith will need eye treatment to hopefully heal the ulcer in her right eye which is known to be very painful. Both ewes have received necessary care in an attempt to reverse this preventable and potentially fatal disease. Pregnancy toxemia is caused by chronic starvation. It is likely that they will unfortunately abort their lambs as a result, however they are under close monitoring and observations with experienced people to give them all the best chances of survival. This is cruelty, abuse and neglect. Please go to @kentanimaldefenders to donate and share to help cover costs of their care. We are very hopeful that both will pull through, as they have shown an incredible will to live within just a couple of hours of care. Well now that the secret is out, let me give you a glimpse of how the last 12 weeks have looked in our house. I have literally been so exhausted and nauseous that all I can do is lay down and wait for at least the nausea to pass. I was nauseous with Anthony, but nothing like this. I was exhausted- but still working on my feet. Chasing this child around has literally made me realize that I need rollerblades in the house. I’m having a hard time keeping up and relying so much on my family and hubs for help these last few weeks. The Story of the Asparagus Field Did you know you have a field of asparagus over there? I hadnt known Derick very long. Id met him once at Seedy Saturday in Picton. Id told my husband about him and his mushrooms. Ryan ordered mushrooms and that was the hook that seems to have kept Derick floating around our farms for the last two years. This was maybe the second time Id talked to him? Im not even sure why he was there that day. I think it was before wed properly hired him. We have a what?! I asked. I remember running out of the farm house in my sock feet to check out the field. I couldnt believe it. Rows and rows! Id pushed back a lot on the purchase of our Bloomfield Orchard. I didnt think we could handle it with a baby, maybe more babies, the other farm, life plans, etc. I was fearful that we wouldnt be able to follow our dreams if we bought this place. It was so ugly, and bland, and barren, and unwell. I was pretty nervous about it. I was nervous what the increased workload on my husband would mean for myself and being alone with a baby at home. I was right about the last bit. The Asparagus Field was my first inkling that there was more to this place than Id allowed my heart to see. Ive wanted a patch of asparagus for so long that Id been planning on how I would source the oldest roots I could possibly find in order to bring that dream closer. This small, scrabbly patch of grass had secrets. A sign that wed done the right thing - And that @derick.greenly was way cooler than we imagined! I have many plans for this field of forage. The most important is to let it stay uncultivated with small additions to fill it with more food. Its a long term thing, not a tomorrow project. Its been so cold this year and the asparagus has been waiting for some sunshine. Its finally growing! My mouth is watering at the thought of the sweet young sprouts but the first harvest is going to a very special friend.
