This week I dipped a toe into the water of the #acnepositivity movement and found that it’s misunderstood, even by many of my #dermatology colleagues. The #acne positivity movement does not advocate against the treatment of acne or celebrate untreated acne. Instead it acknowledges that for a variety of reasons, not everyone who has acne is able to achieve clear skin. As importantly, it creates a community that embraces realistic facial imagery - unfiltered, unedited, and unairbrushed, letting us know that in an ideal world, skin is just skin. Suited at 20 v Suited at 30 I was looking through some photos today and stumbled across an old one of me at 20. I actually can’t believe the difference - I would love to go back and educate myself on health and fitness To be fair, I was at uni - drinking a lot and eating a lot. But I was exercising! I just didn’t have an all encompassing plan, and instead I was pretty fixated on getting JACKED My lifts where going up as fast as my calories, but my cardiovascular health was probably getting worse Truth is, I was always conscious of being skinny from the age of 11-18 and used to spend ages watching YouTube videos wishing I looked like some of those guys What I should have done, is spent my youtube time learning about how to eat and train properly for my goals and built myself a plan of action It’s never to late to learn, to start something new, to push yourself or to set goals. Here he is in front of our very business 12 months ago in a promo eating our food (which he didn’t pay for) . His office has refused to respond to the hundreds of calls, emails and pleas for assistance. Instead of dealing with us, his office referred us to a mental health service who then referred it straight back to his office with the instruction to do their jobs. . We’ve filed complaints with the Victorian Ombudsman, Small Business Commissioner and the Victorian Inspectorate to get his department to do their damned jobs. . Both artists have works in MOCA’s permanent collection and have had past MOCA exhibitions. In 2003, The Museum of Contemporary Art presented Cordova’s exhibition No More Lonely Nights with work that conjured various memories and emotions, inspired by songs, lyrics, and snippets of conversation. Cordovas site-specific installation fused urban culture and ancient Andean spirituality. In 2009, The Museum of Contemporary Art presented Gispert’s first comprehensive solo museum exhibition, which featured large-scale photographs, videos, sculpture and film, dating from 1999 to 2009. Look at the balance of both jacket and trousers and the shade of that fabric. Perfect. Please note how clean is the back as well. And the central crease falls right onto the centre of my loafers. An architectural marvel 👏🏻 Bespoke tip: when you get a linen suit, especially an Italian linen, make sure to have your tailor make sleeves and trousers 1cm longer than usual.
