GROSSONGS: A histĆ³ria por trĆ”s das canƧƵes. Toda quarta vou contar um pouco da histĆ³ria por traz de algumas canƧƵes que escrevi, como foram feitas, arranjadas e gravadas. Vou comeƧar com a que considero a primeira canĆ§Ć£o āDecenteā que fiz: āLunĆ”ticoā. Ela tem uma clara influĆŖncia do Pete Townshed no Riff de Guitarra de abertura e nos acordes da estrofe. A melodia veio depois de eu muito ouvir um disco do T.Rex gravado na BBC em que o Marc Bolan cantava lĆŖem cima, em um tom bem alto. A inspiraĆ§Ć£o da letra veio depois que li uma histĆ³ria em que o Syd Barret (āthe lunatic is on the grassā) trancou a namorada dele no quarto e passava bolachas por debaixo da porta pra ela nĆ£o morrer de fome (haha, pocoloco). A letra tambĆ©m fala de um sentimento rebelde do tipo vou-tacar-o-foda-se/ninguĆ©m-tem-nada-a-ver-com-isso... Fiz uma demo caseira em fita K7 no meu gravador de 4 canais Fostex X14 e mostrei pros guris da Cachorro Grande, que curtiram na hora, e ela logo entrou pro repertĆ³rio, que na Ć©poca incluĆa poucas canƧƵes prĆ³prias ainda. Na gravaĆ§Ć£o, alĆ©m da guitarra, toquei um baixo com Fuzz que jĆ” fazia parte do arranjo original da demo e que deixava a mĆŗsica com mais cara de The Who do que ela jĆ” tinha. Era uma Ć³tima abertura para os shows da Ć©poca e acabou sendo uma boa abertura para o Ć”lbum de estreia. Ganhou um clip, nosso terceiro, dirigido pelo amigo @marcnunes , que era basicamente a banda fazendo uma performance da mĆŗsica vestidos de terno branco com fundo preto e vice versa, em P&B. Lembro de a gente esperando a tinta secar depois de ter pintado o estĆŗdio de preto para poder filmar. O clip tocou bastante na MTV na Ć©poca, ajudando na projeĆ§Ć£o da banda fora do nosso estado natal e concorreu no VMB de 2002, levando a gente pela primeira vez na premiaĆ§Ć£o/cerimĆ“nia/festa, que era uma loucura. Acabou se tornado uma canĆ§Ć£o que nunca saiu do repertĆ³rio da banda, passando com o tempo a fechar os shows. E ela continua presente atĆ© hoje nas minhas apresentaƧƵes, tenho muito orgulho dela e da projeĆ§Ć£o que ela proporcionou para a banda, meio que definindo o estilo de som da @cachorrograndeoficial MG x #Grossongs #Lunatico #cachorrogrande #rocknroll #rockbrasil - @marcelogross on Instagram

Hey guys Iām very happy to share that this coming Thursday and Friday is gonna be two very important music releases that Iām very proud and excited about. One of them is Release of the Debut Single called āTonightā of my band @highgrassband . I remember being in Havana wanting to do a rock record with real instruments and musicians friends. At some point we manage to start the process and recorded songs in my bedroom with very limited resources but always felling fully inspired. Starting this Friday 2nd all those songs are gonna be available on all the platforms to listen. You can now pre save it on Spotify (LINK IN MY BIO). Thank you The other release is the Cuban Music Album āRed Suitcaseā from my friend and super talented artist @yosmelbass . It was recorded in Los Angeles where Iāve been living the last four years. I always wanted to do a live Cuban Music Record and when Yosmel asked me to record his full length Album I loved the idea. The Record was performed live with about ten players in the same room and the sessions where just pure fun. Itās coming out this Thursday April 2nd.
