Joining Youthlinc was the best decision I have ever made. Before my first trip I knew I wanted to do some sort of humanitarian trip, but struggled to find one that wouldn’t be a “vacation”. Then I discovered Youthlinc and start my growth in humanitarianism. Local service has probably been the most impactful part. It was really scary to get started, but once I got into it, everything was fine. Now I have a Main Service Site that I’ll continue to volunteer at even when my Youthlinc days are over. But I wouldn’t of ever started there if it wasn’t for Youthlinc! Youthlinc is the best! If you want to go make a difference read into Youthlinc and start doing some local service! With the only subject in the news this week and matches held behind closed doors and now cancelled - I’ve spent a decent time wondering what sport is without fans? Without fans surely top flight competition such as the rugby sevens tournament I photographed a couple of weeks ago has the same relevance as me playing for a seven a side football team or racing in an 8am cyclocross race. With all sport effectively cancelled for the next few months my thoughts are very much with my fellow freelancers from both in sport and photography, as well as those outside of sport, photography and events who will likely struggle for work.
