I shouldnt be here, I shouldnt do that, I shouldnt say that, I shouldnt think this way, I shouldnt behave that way..I should be better by now, I should be able by now, I should be out of this situation by now, I should be married by now, I should....I shouldnt... . . . Try to assess yourself for one day and count how many times you find yourself thinking these thoughts per day. For some reason we all have learned to think this way..might be because of a tough childhood, highly expectant parents, pressure of keeping up with society etc etc. whatever the actual reason is, the point is that this way of thinking is toxic. Highly toxic. It makes us to never feel fulfilled, to not live the present, to feel guilty all the times, to never feel like you are putting up with your own expectations, to not feel like you are supposed to be where you are at. So again, take time to assess your thinking and once you become aware of how many SHOULDs and SHOULDNTs are going through your mind stop and think about what you are thinking about. . . . . Let go of the need to be perfect. Stop comparing yourself with people around you. Question your expectations. Realise that you are not a superhuman. Understand that you are not the same all the time. Let go of need for constant achievement. Challenge your inner critic. Learn to love yourself for who you are as a person. And finally...TRUST, trust the fact you have been guided to be exactly where you are supposed to be.
