And the TikTok guy made a big deal out of talking about NOT fetishising fat women and loving them PUBLICALLY, not secretly. Which, I guess, is good. Men’s opinions about our bodies don’t matter. Yet, that’s an easy thing to say. A harder thing to feel. So as we are unlearning it, can we still enjoy male affirmation? Is it not hard enough being fat without having to also analyse any superficial feeling, just because it’s rooted in misogyny? Can’t we do both?
