26 weeks !!! 💙💙💙 ———————————- Yesterday I had a routine antenatal appointment. As per usual, I took a pot of wee with me and my maternity notes tucked under my arm ready to present to my midwife.📝 I sat myself down in a waiting room with 6 other pregnant ladies all with their masks on, sat in silence. 🤫 ——— Our boy is measuring off the ‘normal’ curve for expected growth size at 26 weeks. ——— I personally am not worried at all, the hospital have requested a gestational diabetes test for me based on this ‘larger’ figure. ——— I think it’s very easy for anxiety to creep in. However one measurement doesn’t give a comparison. Our boy could be laying a certain way hence a larger measurement. We are happy to get measured again at 28weeks and see his growth rate for him. ——- Anyway I broke the silence and talked to the other ladies. With masks on it seems to me people talk less to each other. Like a barrier of speech. I had a lovely conversation talking to another pregnant mother which for me brings shared experiences and reassurance to one another.
