I get a lot of the same questions. “When are you having kids”, “did you get checked?”, “When will you know”. The thing is we’ve both been checked numerous of times and for 5 years now. My tubes are open, I ovulate regularly, my scar tissue isn’t in the way, my eggs (pic correction) are fine & he has an high number of swimmers. It feels like it’s only the matter of timing. Which everyone has an opinion but a lot of you fail to understand the amount of pain I am in when I ovulate. It’s not a just “do it” & get it over with thing. I’m nauseous, I’m grumpy, I’m tired it feels like my cervix is opening & then I have this throbbing pain from my pelvic to my hip to my thighs that feels like there’s no circulation, so you tell me do you think you would still be in the mood? 😒 even when I push thru this to make my baby I get only 1 line on my pt. So, in the meantime we are still trying naturally & seeing a doctor for ivf. It’s not that cheap so this won’t happen in 2 months. There’s steps you have to take & we’re making those. 📷: @alovelycookie Sending all of the positive fertility affirmations your way for whatever lies ahead of you this week. Как мы находим идеи для съемок?📷 ⠀ Из множества способов найти крутую идею, у меня лично прижился один – простой и действенный: ⠀ ▫️ Всегда сразу записывать все, что приходит в голову. Даже мимолетное и вроде нелепое. Кому-то проще делать заметки в телефоне, а я обожаю использовать блокноты. *Наверное, отдельная мотивашка не забить, а записать – это кайф от самого процесса (красивая обложка, хорошая бумага - ммм) ⠀ ▫️ А когда уже хотите раскрутить идею – садитесь и полчаса пишите любые приходящие мысли. Если не получается, то отдыхаем (желательно не в телефоне) и – снова пишем. ⠀ Вроде бы суперочевидно. Но я понимаю, что осознанно стала так делать, только потому что ее порекомендовал один авторитетный продюсер на одном из обучений. ⠀ И, конечно, еще помогает Pinterest. Особенно если задавать идею, не добавляя в запрос «фотосессия». Так проще искать именно свой путь воплощения. ⠀ Полистали карусель?⬆️ ⠀ Здесь в качестве модели выступила @kateryna_stupakova, а снимать коллегу-фотографа - это всегда немножечко вызов. Хочется найти действительно крутую концепцию. Сейчас пишу, и понимаю, что поиски «того самого образа» заняли у меня почти две недели: варианты рождались и отбрасывались один за другим… ⠀ Но вдруг наткнулась на старое фото женщины, которая развешивает белье и зажглась – то самое! ⠀ Дальше – дело техники: грамотная подготовка для реализации идеи. Отдельная радость, что сейчас крупные проекты мы организуем в команде с @empower_union – оказалось, что когда ты не одиночка, намного проще проводить необычные творческие съемки. ⠀ Наверное, как и любому фотографу, мне важно чувствовать определенную свободу в творчестве. Because it really does. People die because of it. PEOPLE DIE. Due to mental health. You can share about it publicly. You can do so privately. You can write it on a blog post, in an Instagram caption, in your stories, or keep it in your journal. The thing is, you have to write those thoughts down somewhere so you can revisit them. A day from now, a week from now, a month from now, or even a year from now. You will be surprised at how much the things in your life have changed. Maybe not grand things but I bet you there are some small changes, some small victories that make you go, “I am glad I did not give up.” I saw a quote a long time ago from a mental health account that went something like: people who struggle with suicide do not want to die, they just want the life that they know to end. And this resonated with me in more ways than I like to admit. I used to be an open book about this but I took a step back. There are parts of my life that were/are too triggering & I want to keep them private. I want to focus on the NOW. But I want to share this today because I admire the hard work that is put into this small business. It comes with a tragic story but the mission, the motivation, the intent, the awareness, the fundraising, it is all beautiful. It is not just another t-shirt representing motherhood. 4 years ago...the video at the end. 😭💫 My sweet newborn boy River, that moment they put you on my chest. When I looked up and saw the people I love most, looking down at us with beaming smiles. Goldie gave you a stuffed kitty cat and said “he’s mine. My baby bruddy”. It was heaven on earth. I had that minor bleed with you at 9 weeks so in the back of my mind, the entire pregnancy....there was a chance I could lose you. And there you were, sweet chubby healthy rolls, black hair, a furry back and the biggest hands. I have never shared these photos or my birth story with River here yet but I wrote a blog post about the entire experience just days after and never set it live. Today is the day I’ve dreaded since I was a little girl. The day I have to say, see you in Heaven, to my best friend. Although it’s been 3 months, it still doesn’t feel real. Grandma was the definition of unconditional love. She loved fearlessly and without hesitation. Grandma showed her love through prayers, hugs and cookies. She was always there to give you a hug, tell you how much you are loved and hand you a warm, chocolate chip cookie. Grandma taught me the power of prayer. When I would come to grandma with a complaint or issue, she would always ask me “Have you prayed about it”. Grandma knew, If you turned to Jesus everything would be okay. She loved Jesus more than anything else. Grandma prayed for everyone(if they knew it or not). Grandma called everyone “Sweetie”. She always said, “If I call everyone sweetie, I don’t have to remember there name.” No matter what, grandma was there for you. She was the most dependable person you’d ever meet. She made it a point to have a special relationship with all of her grandkids and great-grandkids. I am forever grateful for the bond and relationship we had. I will miss our Thursday lunches at Ted’s, playing cards and sleepovers with our Sleepytime tea and Antique Roadshow. She was kind, generous, humble, funny and selfless. Lately I’ve just been daydreaming about sipping lattes and eating any food without fear of getting debilitating nausea. I swore to myself I wouldn’t complain this pregnancy. That I would power through. Because this baby was prayed for hard, and there’s too many women who ache to experience this. But this whole third trimester thing is reminding me of all the things we black out. The pressure and pelvic pain. The really pathetic attempts to not get out of breath...walking up two stairs. All the hormones. Pregnancy is such a ride. I made it through nights alone in the hospital, countless iv’s, standing in the pouring April rain puking for hours (weird quark I hate puking inside), a picc line, and an extensive blood clot. I cried the first time a nurse showed me how to inject myself, but I’ve worn my suit of armor pretty well. We women are strong.
