We love to see projects come full circle. This is a very special project we have had at the shop and very cool moment took place yesterday at our first Pop Up Car Show! Quick back story on “Stubby” the Yellow Chevrolet Dually! Stubby belonged to the grandparents of our founder @mr._complete_customs and had been sitting in Utah for the past 20 + years! A few years back after Grandpa Jerry passed away, MeMa knew that Shaun had always wanted the bright yellow Dually! Shaun always talked about eventually pairing the Dually with a custom Corn & Taco Trailer! So back in May of this year Shaun & Francisco Quiroz aka Shorty pulled Stubby out of the field in Utah and brought it back to Texas! TEAM Complete Customs has been working on getting Stubby looking good and back running! Well it just so happens that Me-Ma was in town this weekend visiting! Yes, there is plenty of bullshit and loss that Covid has brought us all. It’s wreaked havoc on our emotional, physical and financial well being. But every disaster offers a little silver lining that peeks through its trail of misfortune. How about the forced time out we all seemed to be begging for in our over-wound, busy lives? It put many of us deeper in the arms of the outdoors…a space that offered relief from crowds and public interaction. It forced a new way of relating to others, spawned creative ways to satisfy our basic human needs for connection with each other. Yeah, there is nothing like a hug and a handshake…but we (reluctantly) adapted. These are the Covid “wins”. Road trips seemed to become more popular. Air travel was not ideal, so getting back on the ‘ol asphalt was a great option. It brought many bucket list items to the forefront with a very “Why not?” attitude. The spontaneity was so refreshing. We’ve always wanted to a Griswold inspired vacation in an RV through the States. A throwback to the Americana road trip. So, we did. Rented a 24ft C class and headed for Boulder, CO where my sister and family now lives. We had a little plan, but not much. Just cruise and make some stops in the odd corners and crevices along the way. It was fun. It was hard. Nothing quite like traveling 4200 miles in rolling bedroom on wheels with 4 of your significant others. There were plenty of “I want to go home’s” and “You’ll appreciate this when your older” But we endured and adapted just like people do when things are challenging. So climb up the steps of JoJo and ride along with us with a few pics from the trip. Here’s 10 standouts… but then dive into my story for a wider display of moments. Love you all. So far we have seen antelope, bison, elk, wolves, and a massive grizzly that took down a huge bull elk. I heard there is a YT video that captured that hunt but haven’t had enough time or service to watch it. Grizzly actually drowned him while it was trying to cross a river. Nykyisessä epidemiatilanteessa BTCF ry on valitettavasti päättänyt peruuttaa Bimmerparty 2020 -tapahtuman, ja siirtää sen suoraan vuodelle 2021. Bimmerparty 2021 järjestetään Kalajoella 2.-4.7.2021 ! Meille on erityisen tärkeää yleisömme turvallisuus, ja haluamme pitää siitä huolta parhaamme mukaan. Emme tahdo ottaa ylimääräisiä riskejä edes siinä tilanteessa, että hallitus päättäisi antaa luvan järjestää yleisötapahtumia jo kesäkuussa. Meidän vahva kehoituksemme on, että jokainen osallistuja peruuttaa menonsa Kalajoelle kesäkuussa. Mikäli olet varannut majoituksesi Kalajoki Keskusvaraamolta Bimmerparty 2020 -ajankohdalle: -Olethan pikaisesti yhteydessä Kalajoki Keskusvaraamoon puh. 08-4694 449 tai emaililla keskusvaraamo@kalajoki.fi -Siirrämme veloituksetta olemassa olevan varauksenne uuteen ajankohtaan varausnumeron mukaisesti. Tällöin ennakkomaksut siirtyvät varauksilla Bimmerparty 2021 -tapahtuman majoituksiin. -Tässä vaiheessa emme ota vastaan uusia majoitusvarauksia. Muualta tehdyissä varauksissa ohjeet oman majoituksen perumiseen löytyvät varausehdoistanne ja jokaisen toimii omien sopimusehtojensa mukaisesti. Vuosittainen Bimmerparty -kokoontuminen on järjestetty tauotta Kalajoella jo vuodesta 2000 alkaen. Päätös peruuttamiselle ei ole mitenkään helppo, kaikki oli jo suunniteltu valmiiksi tälle kesälle, varaukset tehty ja kesän odotetuin tapahtuma jo aivan ovella. Olemme vilpittömästi pahoillamme! Jamboree History Continued… Harold Krabbenhoft coined the title for the expedition “Jeepers Jamboree.” There were several treks made across the trail to confirm the trips itinerary. The first Jamboree committee was formed consisting of Ken Collins, Harold Krabbenhoft, Melvin Crail, Robert Cates, Sid Mainwaring, Berni Faist, and Mark Smith. Walt Drysdale was put in charge of publicity and Jack Warner was appointed head of entertainment. A Camp Committee was also formed consisting of Arnold Chandler, Gordon Dinkle, Ken Collins, Bill Butts, and Howard Bliss. These gentlemen made up the founding fathers of the pioneer Jamboree expedition. A Jeepers Jamboree trip of 55 vehicles and 155 participants on August 29 and 30 in 1953 set the annual legend of Jamborees to come and worldwide recognition in 4x4 history. - @jeepersjamboree1953 on Instagram

Normally we say we will go anywhere the customer is willing to pay for....Today is different. We received a call this week from Brittany at Duncan Family Farms asking if we could donate trucking. They needed help getting 300,000 pounds of donated hay up to the farms in the Okanagan area, farms all affected by the wild fires. So today, Saturday, we loaded up the trucks with every bale we could fit. Our drivers are off for a 10 hour drive to deliver this much needed resource that will help our neighbors on the other side of state start to recover from the vast devistation caused by the fires. This run was voluntary for our drivers. When asked, each one of them committed their time without hesitation. I’ve been working remote for the past week, while having a seasonal employee tend the flowers. • Vacations are a bit tricky for me because I want to be working all of the time. A good problem to have when you do what you love. • But, this break has been a much needed one. We’ve road tripped in a van from Montana to Wyoming to Idaho. • We’ve seen nature like I haven’t ever before. We’ve seen rivers and lakes, buffalo and bears.
