This is a super simple recipe for white turmeric tea and iced tea! Grate an inch ofย white turmericย and add to bit of water, wait 5 mins and add any sweetener of your choice. For extra credit add a sprinkle of black pepper. White turmeric is also really refreshing used as ice tea and kept in the refrigerator. Add 4-8 oz of white turmeric to 64 oz hot water and simmer for 10-30 mins depending on how strong you like it.ย (You can also add green tea to this recipe)ย Strain the turmeric add a touch of sweetener if you like let cool. Optional, squeeze a little lemon and keep air tight in the refrigerator. Itโs super refreshing on a hot day!!! - @gratitudegardenfarm on Instagram

Agave Reforestation Effort, In Photos 1/2. Our producer partners provide us with seeds from species endemic from their region. We usually request seeds from wild or semi-cultivated species. 3/4. We germinate the seeds on our rooftop at @eldestilado and care for them until they are large enough to be transplanted at 5. Vivero Amigos Del Maguey y La Biodiversidad, which was started and is maintained by our friends at @rezpiral_ , who also germinate a portion of seeds for us. 6. The agaves will continue to grow at the Vivero until eventually they are large enough to be moved to producer-owned land, where producers will then care for the agaves until they reach maturity. We make no claim over these agaves, but we do ask that the producers care for them with organic methods and we offer assessment and tools for combating plagues and pests organically. 7/8. We also supplement the reforestaion efforts with purchases from an independent nursery located in Etla, as well with agaves from Telesecundaria El Manantial in Vicente Guerrero, which receives support from @sacredagave #DrinkWithRespect #Agave #Tobala #Madrecuixe #Arroqueรฑo #Espadilla #Papalometl #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork - @5sentidosagave on Instagram

Female copperheads give birth during the late summer or early fall. Young copperheads look exactly like adults, except they have a yellow-tipped tail. Texas Gold Millipede - - Scientific Name: Orthoporus ornatus . Taxonomy: Animalia -- Arthropoda -- Myriapoda -- Diplopoda -- Spirostreptida -- Spirostreptidae -- Orthoporus -- ornatus . Status: least concerned . Features: This species has a gold colored body (hence the name) with dark brown segment lines. Typically has a dark brown head. Has been recorded up to 6 (15.24 cm) but on average is about 4 (10.16 cm) . Distribution: Can be found in the wild in U.S. states of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas as well as the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi. . In captivity: This species prefers more arid conditions than that of previous Florida species. In the wild, they prefer more sunshine than many species. Note, desert does not equal 100% sand. Still keep them in a substrate of mostly organic soil. Also to note, dont be worried if your millipedes disappear for the winter months; its completely normal and they should reappear in the spring! . . Footnotes: N/A . ๐Personal Notes๐ Sorry for skipping around with species! The reason Im covering the Golds now is because I just got several of my own! They are absolutely wonderful and my biggest species to date. They do spray their toxins much more often than my other species, but of course it isnt dangerous. In my tank, I experimented mixing my usual substrate with childrens play sand (so its non-toxic) to try and aerate the soil better. So far all is going well and they seem to enjoy digging into the sand. Also, as the holidays are here Ill probably be posting less for the next couple of weeks. At the most I might post every other week instead of every week, but it shouldnt be any longer than that. Thanks for reading! . . Have any species you want me to cover or have questions on? DM me! . . ~~Tags~~ #oornatus #orthoporusornatus #texasgoldmillipede #desertmillipede #millipede #millipedes #myriapod #diplopoda #fieldguide #millipedemanual . -Photo References: myself -Information References: wikipedia - @the.millipede.manual on Instagram
