Hi Instapeeps! “WARRIORS... come out to playaay!” For Day 20 (Sunday) of @retrocollectiveeurope #RCECollectember I’m sharing a @rockstargames classic. #TheWarriors , is a mix of fixed level and open world #beatemup and #stealth action, based on a cult movie of the same name, directed by #WalterHill in 1979. Last night I finally woke up around 0:00 wanted something to play. After mulling through a ridiculous number of games I saw this and thought... yes! Time to replay, and this time finish the game. I’ve completed around 13% so far and was reminded instantly by what an amazing job Rockstar did to bring this to the #Playstation2 and #XboxOriginal (and #PSP later) in 2005. The in-game Character models look like, and sound like, their movie counterparts, and it was clearly crafted with a lot of respect and love for the movie. Everything about this #game is 💯 % The Warriors. Gameplay wise the stealth and fighting are well done but character movement is crazy responsive and takes some getting use to. It looks dated sure but if you are a fan of the movie or #beatemups it’s definitely worth a play. What are your memories of The Warriors?
